It's looks lik a glamorous resort from online pictures but in person visit it's a shanty town . Very rundown. Yuck.
Don't move here pools and washroom are always closed. Gate always broken. they don't fix anything. They will lie to you when u move in. apartments are not undated been here a month breaking my lease and moving out.
Short review : This has been the worst experience I’ve ever had with an apartment complex. Roaches everywhere. NOT GATED - gate is always broke. Sketchy neighbors. Sketchy office staff. Save yourself the stress of living here. The beautiful scenery is ruined by everything else. Long review: As I stated there was roaches first day we moved in. First week we were hit with a “pay your rent” when we moved ACROSS THE COUNTRY and triple checked our finances only to be hit with a $1000 “clerical error” on THEIR END. The gate is never working and always broken so sketchy people in and out. First month here both my wife and I’s bicycles were stolen. Car breaks ins are included in your rent too! Their solution was to ramp up security…which means cops circling your neighborhood and personally that doesn’t make me feel safe either. As a person or color I’m getting stared down while I try to walk my dogs. Speaking of dogs…there is dog crap in every patch of grass you see. I have owned 2 dogs for 10+ years and pick up after them every time. Just a testament to how gross your neighbors are. I’ve literally seen a neighbor throw out trash out their window. They’ve finally decided to update their fencing in the back patios (which are currently falling over when we moved in) then give us almost no time to bring in our patio furniture and leave in INSIDE YOUR HOME FOR 1-2 months as the process is taking so long. This has to be the first update the buildings have had since the 80’s it’s literally a landlord special. My wife chose this place so we could have a little garden and enjoy the outdoors with some plants. Nope they will fine you if it’s not in a pot. They’re ripping out beautiful plants and trees that have been here longer than any owner has been here. This place is a joke. I asked the office for ONE FAVOR to have a buddy who’s visiting for ONE NIGHT to park a VERY SMALL trailer and they threatened to tow it. Your bathrooms and vents seem to be connected so you smell every time your neighbor is smoking weed. Somehow the brick walls still let in plenty of noise so enjoy your neighbors music and domestic disputes for free! THIS IS NOT A SAFE PLACE. I personally walk with my wife on dog walks every chance I get because I worry for her safety. Save yourself time and money and look elsewhere this place is a dump and should be owned by someone who can actually appreciate the property. We understand your valid concerns. As a Management Company we have to manage people and the issues that come along with that. Unfortunately, there are people that break the rules, break the gates & don’t pick up after their dogs. We actively mitigate these issues as they arise with violation notices, fines etc. and we do work closely with local law enforcement when needed to assist in mitigating any concerns. However, we cannot guarantee anyone’s safety. No one can, and as you know crime doesn’t have an address. We appreciate that you noticed us working with local law enforcement. not cheap compared to newer places just in amazing downtown or by the river . they keep saying units are renovated and they still look and feel like dump . no one in front desk is friendly and no way to get hold of the higher ups or management . yard in front of my unit was terrible, the unit was old and smells, people drink by the pool . they do not keep track of the guests or extra parked cars on the weekends and the gate is broken, no security . noise is terrible all my neighbors had dogs that barked all the time and we complained and they did not do anything , but I felt bad for the dogs not the people so we stopped complaining . water is expensive they bill you per unit and not per usage

Both pools never open, raises rent without ANY improvements. Ive gone to many of my friends apartments and the entry ways have mold and mildew. They never update ANYTHING. The management is a joke, when you call and say anything about something not working or the pools being dow., the fountains not working they treat you like crap. Place is an absolute joke.

I have had a hole in a wall from water damage for over a year. They have yet to fix it. Dispite constant nagging they always have an excuse. I’ll be leaving as soon as my lease is up.
By far the best place to live! Lady by the name of Darlene helped me move into my new place was outstanding always answering my questions and doesn’t matter if she was working or not she would always respond to emails quickly! Apartments are nice and are being updated! The little community is starting to look better an better with all the new upgrades that is going on! Definitely recommend Carlton arms as a place to live! I mean you’re next to water that’s pretty awesome, I love to fish and we live on the water can’t beat this place!
The grounds are lovely but the management team is disgusting and rude to its tenants. They are completely unhelpful, demanding, and disrespectful. They let issues you have in your unit last for the length of your lease. I was told the electric problems will never be fixed because of the poor wiring and that management won’t pay to replace old wiring they didn’t install. If you can find somewhere else to live do so.

They charged me to replace carpet that did not need to be replaced! The carpet was steam cleaned and looked the same as the day o moved in, have pictures to prove it but they would not even communicate with me about the situation. DO NOT RECOMMEND LIVING HERE!!
Worst apartment complex I have EVER lived at. Very rude staff. Moved into an apartment that was still disgusting from the past tenant. Very over priced for the living conditions. Not worth it at all. Be very cautious.

I've lived here for 3 years and can't wait to get out. New owners and mgmt are horrible. There is increased crime since they fired the security staff. Now there are people at the gate that let everybody in. I witnessed 3 cars that went in and were not stopped because the "guard" didn't feel like getting up. They don't even address residents concerns. They just give excuses. They are now allowing aggressive breeds in and anyone that will pay rent regardless of criminal background. So sad, this used to be home.

I am room mates with Roaches. So, they about to do tenting due to their infestation of termites and other life forms that makes it more inconvenient to life here. They are telling me that about to move me to another apartment during this tenting. However, they have no Wi-Fi and I have school work to do. I called them and they are saying that, " They don't have to accommodate because of the tenting, they are doing it as a courtesy and if am not happy with the conditions they are providing I need to get an hotel room and I have to pay for it myself." So, your guys have a termite problem, I pay rent every month, I have to move out for two days and pay for an hotel room. Oh boy, I seriously need to get reimbursement from this months rent because I couldn't stay in my apartment. Please let me know if that is not a legit argument. Wanted to talk to a manager, that another story. They don't work on the weekends, how sweet! He/she does not return phone calls anyway, no matter how big the problem is. No surprise to me. I will be moving out pretty soon. New company 2018 New company is not like the old company. They old company was great with keeping up with maintenance, answering the phone, and resolving issues ina timely manner. The people that represents the new company are a bit rude at times. The culture is the problem. If you are moving into a new apartment at the button floor, please find out if they have new flooring. I am hear ever step my neighbor above makes. They had carpet at first, no noise, now I hear noise all day and night. I am hoping the manager resolve this quickly. The smartest thing I would recommend is to walk around and ask people who lives hear how they like the place. 2019 In order to accommodate the 4 months and present disturbance due to the new cheap flooring above us, they are offering us to move out with a 60 day notice. I could not tell the last time I got a good night sleep.

Yes, I am currently a resident. I miss the old staff, very respectful, very upfront and very Bonita me people. Since the new takeover everyone is rude or doesn’t know enough a hot the facility to answer a question. What was once a HIGH quality living space has become low in management. My water has been turned off multiple times, so no washing dishes, no brushing teeth, no shower, no anything, I’ve had A/C contractors barge into my apartment without notice, to “fix my a/c” which was working fine. The amount of time these people need “access” to my private (cough ) public quarters is ridiculous. If you are looking to re-house I’d ask that you simply look elsewhere or demand answers up front.

If you look at the good reviews, they are all from a few years ago. If you look at the last review from 4 months ago, you can see how the new owners have changed the place, and not for the good. Services have been cut, the staff seems to have a no-can-do attitude and are not friendly. Doubled the price of the car ports. It now takes weeks to get something as simple and necessary as a dishwasher fixed. It looks like more are moving out than moving in. The only good thing is the location and the great grounds crew that are there.
This was once a friendly community with on-site staff for every department from the front office to security, grounds and maintenance teams. The new management has since let go of just about everyone we knew and instead contracted things out to the lowest bidders. The services and amenities that were once a highly attractive part of living here have all been cut. It's very clear that the new ownership is focused on lining their pockets more than serving their community. It's very sad to see everyone gone and to have to deal with the poor service that has taken over.

I have been living at Carlton Arms of Bradenton going on 6 years. The management and staff you couldn't ask for more. They are all highly professional, friendly, and do take great pride in their community. The grounds are kept very well maintained. I live on the water here which is an added bonus. Located right outside the entrance we have a convenience store, excellent restaurant, hair salon, doggie spa and for the artists a storefront for pottery painting. There is two beautiful swimming pools I wish I had more time to enjoy for the view from the Riverfront Pool is breathtaking. There is an exercise facility as well at that location. On Tuesday mornings they have a coffee club in the main clubhouse too. They hold an annual holiday party on the grounds that includes a live band. They even come pick you up by shuttle service for the event. They do want everyone to arrive and depart safely. If you have a dog there is a nice large dog run area. Dog's enjoy living here as well!! T They do it right! It is very peaceful here for me and I do feel very safe. I truly enjoy the comfort and beauty of my home here at Carlton Arms of Bradenton. S.R
Located on the Manatee River, our apartment has a beautiful view, oversized patio with a privacy fence and mulched edging for gardening. This a pet friendly complex. The Maintenance staff is courteous and very responsive. Beautifully landscaped grounds and 24 hour security at the entrance.
Very outdated was not at all what we were looking for.
Just a week ago my wife and I was looking for apartments for my son and his wife. We know someone that lives there and told us that it is a great community. We checked it out and we were in total agreement. It is a great place to live! You great such a great value for what you pay. You can find some places that may be cheaper, but they won't have what Carlton Arms has. My favorite it the curb side garbage pick up! Check out the Carlton Arms. You will not be dissapointed!
I'm moving in next month and all the workers that's have helped me have been so helpful! It's my first time moving and they have talked me through everything!! I'm so excited to live here.!!!
The one thing that caused us to say no thanks to living here was no laundry in the units.
Townhouse was nice. However went on waiting list and experienced some difficulty in receiving my refund, when I opted to terminate my application.
I lived in carlton arms located in winter park for several years until I lost my husband. I also worked part time in the office. There was never a time that the staff and residents were not kind and friendly.
