Property Ratings at Carousel Village Apartments
This is the third time this year that they have shut down the water supply without any prior notice. Their plumbing system is in bad shape and breaks down at least once a year, during which they shut down water supply without any notice. If you call management and request them to give at least few hours notice before they start repairs, they just give a lip service and the pattern continues to repeat. Please give a second thought before renting here.
Been here for two years. Management is passive aggressive and rude, and the rent is being raised on average $70 per year, at least it has for the past two I have been here. Even the cost of laundry went up, even though laundry machines are slow and outdated, so it says 1.50 to dry, but expect to dry every load three times. They claim the price increase is due to "improvements" but not very much happening in that department. They paved and are renovating *some* units, but they also neglect to respond to service requests unless they're deemed urgent (costing the complex money). I wouldn't be shocked if I didn't get my security deposit back for unspecified reasons because of the exploitative nature of management. About a year in, I needed a service animal, to which they responded (exact words), "Oh, we don't do that." If you don't mind yearly rental raises of nearly 100 dollars or rudeness/inefficiency by upper management, the apartments are spacious enough and in a good location, hence the three stars.
Good place to live. Was there for 4 years. Spacious 1 BR Apts. Very close to UGA. Parking in front of apt., and nice trees in area. Walls a bit thin and occasional small bugs in apt. Renovating and updating a lot of things there currently. Decent pool area and on site laundry for 1.50. Positive experience overall!
DO NOT RENT HERE. Really bad mold and a horrible cockroach INFESTATION ...they are literally falling apart. The cabinets in my unit are from the 70's and they are infested. The roaches are so bad that even the pest control guy told me the strongest stuff he had doesn't stop them. I got very very sick from living here, seriously ill. They just keep raising the rent and painting things to cover up how disgusting these are. The noise is horrible and I could every word my neighbors spoke. The laundry room is a joke too. It takes 3 cycles to dry anything and roaches are crawling around, especially at night.
