Property Ratings at Carriage Hill
Where is just around the corner and we've had our first couple really hot days. My air conditioner unit didn't seem to be working very well in fact it was 85 degrees in my house. Call the maintenance crew inform them that my air conditioning unit was not working. They were out within 5 minutes with a brand new unit and with Summer just around the corner I'm looking forward to living here. Nothing but great things.
I've been here since the original owners had it. Since he sold them we have been through numerous managers and maintenance personal. This place had deteriorated to the point of being nearly inhabitable. Every new manager promised to fix things only to mess them up even more. A couple of them could have used some training in tenet relations (they weren't very nice) as well. I felt like I was living in the slums. Then, the present manager, Baylei took over and brought with her a team of maintenance personal that are knowledgeable and helpful. She has proven to be friendly, responsive and professional in her handling of the apartment complex as well as the tenants. Also, it took a long time to mess this place up, so it's going to take some time to turn things around and I am certain that it has been a long and difficult process for her but efforts to clean these apartments up are noticeable and profound. The owners of this complex did the right thing to bring her in. Baylei has made me happy to come home again.
Yes, some apartments have been renovated, but it's cheap renovation. Meaning everything will wear easily and the paint job is horrible. There's new carpet, but the flooring underneath will not be repaired. They simply through some paint on the bathroom and called it a day. The apartment was supposed to be cleaned before I moved in but, there was ashes all over the kitchen counter and a joint in the kitchen sink. They painted the kitchen cabinet, but it was a lazy poor job. A chemical smell came from my burners the first time I used them and the cabinets smell funny. There is hardly ever any hot water, it's mostly cold. Maybe you'll get lucky and have warm water every once in a while. The only cooling is a old box unit in the living room. You'll be lucky if it works. Be prepared for having a grudge held against you if you make any complaints. There's trash on the grounds and the roof has been unfinished for forever.
I've currently lived here for 5 months & my stay here has been absolutely miserable. There is such a high turnover with leasing agents & maintenance. Every issue i have experienced has been ignored. For 3 months straight i experienced a bug infestation, from spiders big to small, dozens of roly polies, centipedes, worms, pincher bugs & crickets. It wasn't until i reached out to Rick who works for corporate & is the boss of the property manager at my leasing office, that this issue was some what resolved. I've requested several times that my unit be sprayed inside & till this day they have not done so. The communication & customer service has improved but still sucks! There is always excessive garbage. In October i was without hot water for 2 weeks, since then I've had to settle for warm water, very rarely it's hot. As of today I'm now back to having cold water for what has been 2 days & counting. Every time i walk into my living room all i see is concrete because the company that remolded my unit never finished the job & it has not been fixed as promised the day i moved in & spoke to Rick from corporate. This place would rather get another unit ready for new residents to live in, than to take care of the residents they already have. Save yourself the headache, pay a few extra hundred someplace else & live comfortably. This place should have been on every news channel in Denver by now.
Don't live here. I signed a lease a month in advance and the day before I was suppose to move, they delayed it a day. Then another day, then another day and when I finally was able to move in, they still weren't finished installing my kitchen. First day, no hot water. No knob for the shower. The management is nice but that doesn't make up for the shear incompetence. I'm cancelling my lease and getting a lawyer to help me not pay cancellation fees
I HAVE LIVED HERE FOR ONE AND A HALF YEARS AND DO NOT KNOW WHERE THE GAS STATION/LIQUOR STORE IS. WE ARE WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE TO A 7-11 AND A PIZZA PLACE THAT IS VERY CONVENIENT. OUR APARTMENTS ARE IN THE PROCESS OF RENOVATION SINCE THE NEW OWNERS TOOK OVER AND AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE NEW PATIO DOOR AND DRAFT FREE WINDOWS THAT HAVE BEEN INSTALLED. WE ARE NOT COMFORTABLE WITH THE CONSTRUCTION GOING ON IN THE APARTMENTS BUT UNDERSTAND IT WILL MAKE CARRIAGE HILL A NICER PLACE TO LIVE WHEN IT IS ALL FINISHED. ASHLEY IS VERY FRIENDLY AND MIKE ALTHOUGH VERY BUSY TRYING TO TAKE CARE OF ALL THE LITTLE PROBLEMS THAT ERUPT, HAS ALWAYS BEEN FRIENDLY AND POLITE TO ALL OF US ESPECIALLY THE SENIORS LIVING HERE. IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM RENTING HERE PERHAPS ITS BECAUSE WE ARE CAREFUL TO SCREEN TENANTS TO KEEP OUT UNDESIRABLE ONES. IF YOU WANT A NICE QUIET PLACE TO LIVE CHECK US OUT. WE'RE STRIVING TO HAVE A FRIENDLY COMMUNITY TO RESIDE IN BW
The communication in this place is worst than walmart customer service! ! It took over 8 days for an approval. And, no one knew what was going on and if you ask any probing questions they start getting an attitude with you. Watch out for Mike the maintenance guy... not only is he rude, but condescending to women and quite honestly has no business being around the leasing ofdice during appointments. I showed up twice and the leasing agent Ashley (yes they only have one) was not there, nor was she showing an apartment, she was walking back from the gas station /liquor store. Another day I arrived and they had no one there. Stay as far away from this place as you can. After all of this, I was still set to move in when the office calls and tells me the apartment isn't ready and they won't be leasing to me. If you value your sanity, stay away.
