Located about ten miles northeast of downtown Detroit, Osborn features a great selection of affordable apartments and houses for rent, with several options clustered around the Von Steuben area. Locals enjoy access to a variety of exciting parks, including the unique Calimera Park, which serves as the home of the Edible Hut -- part hut, part sculpture, and part edible garden. The Edible Hut holds fun activities every month, so come out on a weekend afternoon to catch some live music.

Running along the edge of the neighborhood is 8 Mile Road, which the Eminem movie "8 Mile" helped to immortalize. You can find most of the area's restaurants and bars either there or on Gatriot Avenue. The latter hosts the Detroit Blues Cafe, a great place to stop by on the weekend for dinner and blues music.
