Sitting on the north side of Minneapolis along I-35W, Blaine makes a nice, quiet hometown setting for folks who work in the Twin Cities but prefer an apartment in the suburbs. One of the city’s key landmarks is the National Sports Center, an enormous 650-acre complex that houses 50 full-sized soccer fields, a golf course, and the largest ice arena complex in the world.
Less-structured recreation is very popular here as well, with the large Rice Creek North Regional Trail Corridor and Carlos Avery State Wildlife Area just outside the city limits and several smaller public parks scattered around town.

Property Ratings at Carriage Oaks Apartments
I worked directly with Emily throughout this entire process, and Emily was AWESOME!! She was able to get me into the apartment I wanted that had come available right before I signed my lease. The entire office staff was very kind, easy to work with, and so helpful when I had questions or stopped by the leasing office. LOVE my new apartment!!!! Thanks Emily!!
The staff here is rude. Manager is rude. Dog poop everywhere. Inside building smells like smoke and dogs barking all the time.good luck finding parking as well.
When we first moved to Minnesota my wife and I looked everywhere in Blaine for an apartment and we were so blown away by Carriage Oaks. Office staff is very helpful, neighbors are nice and the property is beautiful. if your looking for a long term or short term residence Carriage Oaks is a winner!

My girlfriend and I recently decided to rent an Apartment and we searched all the properties in Blaine. Some were new, some were older and some were a combination of the two. We were so lucky to find Carriage Oaks. The leasing team was funny and knowledgeable and receptive to our needs. Management is available when we call and maintenance is done in a timely fashion, five stars.

Ben and Charlie bent over backwards to accommodate my mother and I settling into new apt. I am disabled and cannot walk far. Ben and Charlie situated my apartment to be close to pool, storage, and mail, which helps me to be self-sufficient. The apartments are beautiful and quiet, and the people are nice. Deliveries can be made right to sliding glass door. A very nice place to call home.

I have lived here for about 8 years. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. I love all the amenities, especially the outdoor pool. Anytime I need anything fixed, it is taken care of immediately by the professional, friendly maintenance staff. All staff are very nice, accommodating and helpful.
I've been a lease holder for a year now at Carriage Oaks Apts! The Office staff have been nothing but professional and extremely helpful over this past year! They are a fun group of individuals and Is lead by a wonderful Manager!
After about 10 months of renting I’m not resigning a lease. Office staff are useless. In September the neighbors above me got a new dog and it’s part hound and it is LOUD I’ve called the office multiple times about it and they haven’t done anything, the neighbors above me sound like an earthquake when walking at any given time. Office hasn’t done anything and the police can’t do much either. AC doesn’t work when it’s football Sunday? Don’t worry they’ll tell you to leave it off for about an hour and see if it ices up again. I placed a work order for a gap above my AC unit and my screen door not closing, after 2 and a half months of calling then threaten to not pay rent they managed to get someone to come look at it. Also if you work overnights don’t plan on having anything cover your window that isn’t white, need a black out curtain? It needs to be white. Their snow plowing is a joke, the parking lot in the winter will turn into an ice rink and they won’t call anyone out to salt the parking lot. Need a garage for the winter? Plan on paying $70 without a garage opener and when renewal is up they bump it to $80 with no opener. I’d never recommend this place to anyone.
We lived in the apartments for three years. During this time we were asked if we wanted the apartment updated to the latest appliances for a higher rent payment and to be more in line with the other apartments in the building. We declined but knew upon moving out that this is what the management company was going to do after we left. We had the apartment professionally cleaned prior to moving out even though, once again, we know they are going to gut the apartment to update it. This includes all woodwork, new counters and painting. Upon the move out inspection we got cited for the amount of marks on the walls, nail holes in the walls, wither they had been patched or not, Wiping the fridge doors (yes the ones that are going to be replaced) and they want to charge for normal wear and tear on the carpets. Once again, No hole bigger than a small picture hanging nail that had been patched. Marks that may happen for three years of living in a spot that they would paint anyway. Oh, and some dust that the cleaners we hired missed. The apartment was in better shape than when we moved in but they will try to charge for normal wear just to get more money as they fully understand that they will not ever get repeat business. We moved out April 30th 2016. And if asked by my worst enemy, I would not recommend these apartments. Best part of living here was I never heard my neighbors and there was only one or two drug raids in our building in three years. I almost forgot that for the years we lived there, the security doors either the locks were broken so you couldn't get in or the doors propped open so anyone could get it and the door system to buzz people in worked so bad that it was easier to have them call on a cell phone then run down three flights of steps to get your guest. Ok...now I'm done. Thank you for reading.
This was my first experience with living in apartment. The application process was really easy going, Charon (the extremely nice woman that helps with all of this process) is amazing!! Ask for her, she is so ridiculously helpful. The kindest woman ever, half of the reason we rented from her is because of all the help she gave me and my fiance. The apartment we got was immaculately clean and beautiful. It also came with a huge patio too. I love all the amenities, definitely worth the extra rent! I really love the fact that the building is so quite, I never hear my neighbors like you would expect.
Trees, lawns and someone else to handle snow, what more can you ask? A patio that will hold two chairs and some hanging birdfeeders and plants but not much more. Low, low maintenance AND the clocks on the stove and microwave are working and set correctly. After three days we love our new apartment.
