Property Ratings at Carriage Place at Lake Chesterfield
I have lived here for 5 years and 2 months. The staff members are so kind, and the maintenance staff fix any problems so quickly. The only problem is noisy from the above floor.
Office staff was very easy to work with ! Any question I had was answered promptly. I was pleasantly surprised how nice my apartment is . I like my building so far it’s very quiet
I’ve lived here on and off for 5 years now. I used to love living here but each time I move back, it’s worse. The community is not as clean as before, the management team never seem to follow through with what they tell you. And it takes forever to get anything done when you call the office.
The office staff and the maintenance staff are very friendly, very professional, and I’m proud to be with this company every issue I’ve ever presented to the office staff or the maintenance staff. They have always fix the problem in a timely and professional manner.
I wish people were more congenial and not self isolating. Maintenance staff is excellent. Office staff are accommodating. They try to bring residents together.
Lovely area and great apartments. No complaints as I just re-upped my lease for another year! Happy to be here and everything is going smoothly:)
Cozy, quiet and friendly place. Great location to just about anything. Only downside seems to be parking. Unless you have a spot it’s hard to find one at times.
I like the location we’re in, staff is not exactly the quackiest or friendliest people. Parking isn’t the best either, there has been slim to no parking.
The community is quiet and pretty well maintained. I appreciate how kind the office staff is when I have questions. Paying rent and utilities online is easy and convenient. The unit I moved into has completely new carpet, painted walls, and updates occur when brought to attention.
The apartments are too old and need to brought up to date, both exterior and interior. However, I do feel safe within the confines of my apartment.
I’ve lived here for over 5 years. I would have rated this 5 stars years ago but recently it has gone down hill. Residents leave trash everywhere and the apartments could stand to be updated that’s for sure.
Staff is very friendly. Quick to fix issues in apartment. The outside has suffered as of lately though. Dead trees, dead grass and the breeze ways and building are in need of a deep cleaning.
Easy move in and nice residents. Put in a service request and it was quickly attended too. Safe community and great living conditions. Overall, had a great experience so far and hope it continues to be a great place to live.
I love my apartment but I have had multiple issues when it comes to maintenance. When we first moved in, we noticed that the ceiling in our stairway down to the ground floor garage was leaking and it took over a month to detect the source, stop the leak, and make repairs. Whenever we turned the air conditioner on it would start leaking. One employee came over and pretended to turn some knobs. He said he fixed it but he didn't and we had to be assertive to get someone else over and fix the problem. Recently, the shelf in our closet fell apart because a screw broke. It took weeks before someone came over, but they worked for another company and were meant to fix the floors, not our issue. More weeks pass and we got the same maintenance person that pretended to fix the air conditioning. He told us he needed to order another fastener and it would be several business days. After a week or two we called the office and the office said they had a grounds inspection Thursday and they could take a look Friday, Monday at the latest. Today is Monday and they are blowing us off again saying they'll get to it when they can since some employees are out sick. It's been over a month and it shouldn't have taken this long to come by and investigate the problem, order the fastener, and fix the shelf. Carriage Place, please do better for your tenants.
In the beginning everyone in the front office was very helpful and courteous to answer your questions. But once you’ve agreed to your lease it was hard to get a hold of anyone to ask for help with other questions and requests. Phone calls and emails were not responded to and I had to go to the office to try and speak with someone just to get answers. And when you get to the office everyone is busy and cannot help and asked to come back another time.
Everyone has been very welcoming! We love the amount of useable space in our new apartment. Very spacious and roomy with lots of storage opportunity. The patio is a huge plus!
We’ve just moved in and the on boarding process of filling out the lease and getting information was quick and easy. We’re looking forward to our time here
Maintenance team here is incredible. I rarely need to call them, but when I do they come in within 24 hours and solve my problem. Amenities here are also great.
Been living at Carriage Apartments for 6 months. Quiet neighborhood, well-maintained grounds, responsive maintenance. A bit pricey, but overall a good place to stay.
Great location. Very fair price in rent. Quiet neighborhood and neighbors. Leasing manager very open to listening and resolving any issues that are discussed.
Excellent all is wonderful; Marsie is the best! Maintenace handles request vey promptly. Lily the property manager is very help and nice. Friendly neighbors
Carriage Place has been home for my daughter and I for 12 years and we have created so many wonderful memories! It’s a safe place to live and have many many other tenants here that have become family to me!
It’s been really nice but a bit confusing when it comes to paying rent. The people have been really nice but it took a bit to figure out where payments were going.
My boyfriend and I have really enjoyed living here. It’s a great location and the apartment has been great with minimal issues that were resolved right away.
I do like it here for the most part, but maintenance is not the greatest. Requests will sit open and unresolved for weeks with no update on when they’re coming to deal with the issue. Otherwise it’s a pretty standard apartment, nice area being safe and well connected
Carriage Place is a nice community. My neighbors are all friendly and pleasant. I have a great view from the third floor and the trees give me privacy on my deck.
I have lived here for five years and like this place because the location is perfect for my work place. The office staff and maintenance staff are so kind.
This place is a good place to live. However the parking is not great. I live on the third floor and go to school at night and I usually have to park two buildings away because all of the spots are full. 3 bedroom apartment if spacious except for the kitchen . It is very small and the Frigde is outdated. There is a woman in the office that was not helpful. I brought her a check and she turned the money away with out informating me that I could submit an e check.
Dog poop everywhere, can’t walk dog at night without risk of stepping in it. Also the smell!!!!. Never has appliance issues addressed. Windows old and inefficient.
Settling into the community and enjoying the beautiful scenery and peace surrounding the property. A little frustrated with being unable to get answers from management as to why my w/s/t bill is monumentally high for such a small unit. Pool could use some maintenance and love, other than that the staff is always kind and friendly, we’ve met some very nice neighbors so far and feel safe here as we adjust to our new home.
a lot of confusion at move in date and I was overcharged for the first month which makes it challenging when you consider all of the additional application fees and other changes that occur outside of the actual rent payments.
I have lived in this complex for years and I am so pleased with the service, staff including maintenance. They are professional and very attentive to all the needs of the residents.
It is nice living here, scenic and secluded. Staff is easy to work with and professional. Dale is great at his maintence job and always comes with a smile! The units are spacious and well thought out. I have lived in a lot of apartments over the years but this is the Best!
I have lived here quite a long time. I’m very grateful for the staff. They are helpful and prompt and I trust them. Also My neighbors are very nice
All of the staff is very kind and helpful. The neighbors are kind and quiet. The location is amazing!
They are very slow to fix things. The outside light for our building were out for a month before they fixed them. They want to withhold as much of your SD as they can. Rent continually went up and their service went down
DO NOT rent here. Management will NOT respond to anything. They won't return calls. Place has not been updated, grounds are unkept. Breeze ways are always dirty. Only thing they do is raise rent.STAY AWAY!
WORST PLACE/MANAGEMENT EVER. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!!!!! Had an HVAC issue for over 3 months (week before Labor Day-Sept 20th) with the smell of black mold/mildew constantly. Had several people/companies come out but nothing fixed the issues/smell (they did spray the black mold). The filters were black and I was changing them out every week. They don't care about your health and what my daughter and I were breathing in everyday. NOTHING WORKED but yet they still didn't change the HVAC unit because God forbid they have to replace it. If you rent 16319 F, beware unless they actually replaced it after I left. Finally moved out and got a statement stating they were going to charge 175 for carpet deodorizer and stretching. I moved in with brand new carpet and was there for 1yr and moved out September 20th. When I did the walk through, Dale said it smelled very clean(I'm a clean freak) and was clean, I should get the full refund. There were no stains on the carpet and it was shampooed. Make sure you are there for all walk throughs so you aren't screwed over and take LOTS OF PICTURES OF LITERALLY EVERYTHING. They make up ridiculous charges. Then they want to charge me 32 dollars for October 1st rent even though I moved out and gave them my keys on Sept 20th. They are a joke, DO NOT RENT FROM THEM.
I had someone very close to me recommend living here. They are regretting their decision to recommend this apartment complex to me and one other person. I’ve had terrible maintenance service, not in terms of friendliness but the waits are insane. I am paying top dollar for an outdated apartment that everything keeps breaking. The wait time for service completion continues to increase. I had to wait over a week for a light bulb to be replaced that was too high for my tallest ladder, this replacement literally took them 5 minutes. Now my AC has gone out 3 times in 2 months. The first two times response time was quick. This time I’m over a week in and nothing. I call to check on the status and I’m lucky to get a next day response. At this point I don’t understand how they get 5 star reviews. Where is the communication and concern about quality of life. If I had my own home this would’ve been top priority. The temperatures have been cooler but there were days when the humidity was insane and I was literally sticking to everything in my apartment. I am so fed up with the lack of communication and service completion waits. The other person that was recommended this apartment to is already leaving as well.
New management has taken over this one’s beautiful quiet clean apartment complex. You no longer can walk the sidewalks or in the grass without stepping all over dog poop. You can complain to the front desk but please do not expect anything to be done about it. Peoples porches are full of trash and are major eye sores. Snow and ice was not cleared in a timely manner causing many to be stuck snd unable to get out. The management says they will take care of issues but they have no follow through. This place has change so much in the past months. Will be looking elsewhere when this lease is up.

Thank you for letting us know that we fell short of providing you the level of service you expect and we strive to deliver, Jane. It is our priority to resolve your concerns and address any outstanding issues. We would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this matter in more detail and can be reached at (636) 458-7800.
My apartment is very cozy, in the center of St. Louis Missouri it is very close to th city and close to the country side. The apartment complex is a great place to raise a family or just to enjoy your single life. The neighborhood is in the center of a quite community and there is a nice lake to fish and enjoy a couple brews by. Everyone at the help desk is very nice and help you out with any problems your home might encounter. I've been here for 5 years and I've loved every part of it. They are also pet friendly! So anyone who wants to take their best friend with them this is a place to stay!
