Property Ratings at Carrington Park
I strongly advise against moving into this apartment complex. The building is old and in desperate need of maintenance, but repairs are never done on time. The front office staff lack basic manners and are incredibly unhelpful. Pest problems are rampant, and towing issues are a constant headache. Despite the low rent, this place is not worth it. The complex is noisy, with neighbors who don't follow any rules. They charge unnecessary and additional fees on top of the rent, unlike other apartments. For example, they add a $75 fee for concierge services that no one uses and we have no idea what it's for. The office hours are erratic, and there's no response to emails or phone calls, no matter how many times you try. Emergency requests are completely ignored. Save yourself the trouble and stay away from this place. Don't be a victim of their low prices.

Abisay is amazing he always takes care of things he is such a great asset to the leasing office, maintenance guys are so polite and caring I've been living at this place for a couple of years and I'm amazed at everything I will not see myself living anywhere else I did have some issues in the past month but the management took care of it now my building is quiet and I feel comfortable getting home late from work thank you.

I was a resident of Carrington Park Apartments for almost two years. after I signed my renewal for the second year, I started having serious health issues inside my apartment due to an infestation of rats. the rats live in the attic above apartment #1624 and in the walls of the bedroom. I contacted the property manager many times of this health hazard and I entered maintenance requests nearly every day about the rats. I feared for my life just waiting for the rats to enter the bedroom because they were chewing on the sheetrock in the walls!! I had a severe allergic reaction to the mites that came into the apartment from the rats. The mites were entering the apartment through the air ducts. The apartment manager agreed to clean the ductwork in the apartment, have the exterminator sprinkle some white powder in the attic, and cleaned the carpeting. All these were completed in an attempt to rectify the problems with the rats and rat mites but they didn’t work. My health was deteriorating and I knew I had to vacate as quickly as I could. I have a 30 day notice and vacated. Today I received a move out notice where they want to charge me for another month’s rent and an early termination fee of $2150. I would NEVER recommend anyone to rent an apartment at Carrington Park.

Leasing agent lied about unit to get me in and when i saw it after i picked up keys I was not happy and they only offered to charge me 1000 to get out of lease, but i had nowhere to go. Apt was dirty and smelled like wet dog for months. They still needed to come in and paint cabinets and I had to clean tub which also had soap scum and has peeling paint. The garage looked like a murder scene with stains all over. It would appear one bother to look at apt after previous tenant moved out. The buildings are dirty and the breezeways are disgusting. The floor of the breezeway looks like the bottom of a dumpster, not just in front of my unit. There are stains and trash spills, bugs, trash, paint stains and even cobwebs all over the breezeway. People leave trash in front of apt all day and days over the weekend. There is loose trash blowing all around, dog mess everywhere even on curbs and sidewalks , dead rats in the driveway. They send notices about pet waste complaints but don’t bother to clean it up. The Fitness Center is dirty equipment breaks or out of order sometimes no power, a TV with no service , dirty windows. Also there is no access to the restroom from the Fitness Center as the door is always locked, which I found strange. Office staff changed often but they always seemed rude and uninterested and rarely answer phone when I called sometime didn't even return messages or emails. They tried to charge me 1600 upon move out for carpet which looked exactly same as year before when moved in but I sent old emails about their failure to replace before I moved in. What a nightmare. Take picture and keep email correspondence.

Loose trash & rats everywhere. Management notified many times. Nothing changes Parking lots & breezeways always covered with lose trash. Every night you can see rats and raccoons scurrying away as you walk by. They chew open the dozens of trash bags left outside dumpster areas, pulling out food, pizza boxes, food containers, wrappers, diapers, etc. Wind blows loose trash all over parking lots and breezeways. Management has been notified many times for several months. Nothing changes. A well run property management company would never let a property look like the garbage dump the way this one does. Parking lots and breezeways would be clean and tenants would never have ask management to clean trash from all over the property. Well run property management companies treat requests as opportunities to make the property a nice place to live, and tenants happy. Poorly run property management companies do nothing and make excuses. That is what you get at Carrington Park. No action. Lots of excuses, if they respond at all.

I want to start by saying that I would not be making this post if I felt like they did all they could to resolve the issue and did what they could to make us feel satisfied with the decision of living at Carrington Park. I feel unsafe in this area, there are break ins all the time, our neighbor just had someone break into their car and all of their things were scattered across the hallway. My boyfriend and I moved here from out of state because we were relocated from work and due to COVID restrictions we were not able to visit before making our decision. We based everything off of the photos and the photos look nothing like what you are getting.. After driving 15 hours to get here, we get our keys and start unloading and as we unload cockroaches started to come out of every direction. They were in the Laundry room, under the sink, alll around every single window pane, Under the fridge/oven, in the bathrooms, in the bedrooms it was horrifying; we counted 22 cockroaches from the time we started to unpack to when we went to the office that same day. We stopped unpacking and immediately went to the office and they told us that it was inspected 3 times before and that day, before we showed up, the property manager inspected it and didn't see one Cockroach. There were cockroach shells in every corner of the apartment, there was no way they inspected that or at at least inspected it properly. This is not a Luxury apartment, looks nothing like what the images show, when you get to the place you can tell they just made band-aid adjustments to give you a look and feel for "Luxury". We would not be this disappointed if they would have just admitted to us that they were in the wrong and didn't help the way we needed it. The way they handled the situation and made us take care of it was the most frustrating, they didn't seem interested at all in helping us or making us satisfied. They just wanted to downplay the cockroaches and make us feel like crap for making it into a big deal. They also want you to pick up after your dog but it has been 3 months and not once has the dog trash cans been emptied, they are overflowing. They also NEVER restock dog poop bags, there are 4 different poop stations for bags but they have been empty for over a month now, so I stopped picking up my dogs poop because we dont have any bags and they dont supply them for us. What else am I supposed to do.

The communication for this complex is awful. Their property management leaves MUCH to be desired, and the value is deplorable. The fit and finish is extremely disappointing for the price charged, and you do not get help from the property management. Look elsewhere, the location is good but it is not worth the headache.

The apartment itself is nice until it isn't. Paid over $200 in fees/water alone on top of rent. You realized everything was just plastered on over old paint, etc.. My kids door literally fell off the hinges because it was GLUED instead of screwed on. Maintenance glued over it again to fix the problem. Its nearly impossible to get ahold of someone at the office and due to covid you must make an apt. How are you supposed to make an apt if no one answers the phone or returns calls/emails? I tried calling for DAYS to let them know there was a random fire extinguisher was OUTSIDE and that maybe it should be where indented before oh I don't know, someone gets fined? Last straw for me was when Denise finally decided to answer the phone after emailing with her and her email had a "typo" and I asked her "why is it so hard to get in touch with yall" and she tells me "I'm the only one here" mind you someone is talking to her in the background and she proceeds to tell me "my bad, I Made a typo" in our email. Poor customer service from everyone I have encountered. Also don't plan on getting mail, you'd have better luck getting a PO Box.

I came in last week looking for a 2 bedroom, the lady I spoke with (cant remember her name) was very knowledgeable about the property and even took me on a tour of the property and inside of one of the apartments so that I could see the actual layout. I didn't move forward with this location but I defiantly loved what I saw.

I live at this apartments, My advice is GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!! when i visited the office to check out the apartments, there was an upset resident in the office, she warned me not to move in. But because of time crunch i still moved in. I give everybody a chance, but this place, NO! Management changes and i don't blame them! the place is terrible. Maintenance is poor! they just patch staff to get you by,they don't care whether it matches what you already have or not, My Microwave is a different color from my stove, lol.. they charge ridiculous fee's just to milk money from residents. Who charges for receiving Packages?? This place do charge $10 a month for delivering packages, if you don't receive packages then you are out of lack because you still have to pay that fee, it is mandatory. TRASH is almost 40.00!!! Trash collection 12.00 and Valet Pick up is 25.00, yes we have dumpsters and every end of the building. SOMETIMES THEY DO NOT PICK THE TRASH! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!

I love it here! The apartment is exactly what I was looking for and the staff is very helpful! manager was very informative and professional! highly recommend!
Carrington is an older Property, located in a convenient and upscale area. It has third new owner, Pinnacle Properties, in three years. If interested, as with any property, visit it at various times (apart from the office tour), drive and walk around, to determine whether it meets your particular requirements. Disregard the ficus tree on the front step of the information center, which died 3 months ago. After all, one is alive and the the driveway/roadside beds beds are in full bloom. We experienced an epic failure on the property in early May. Dumpster were not emptied during the week of Fri, May 4 - Fri, May 11. Trash bags were piled by the nightly valet service on TOP of dumpsters resulting in unsanitary, unsightly heaps throughout the property. Blamed on a corporate clerical billing error, resourcefulness still should have alleviated such a situation. As a matter of principal and opportunity to demonstrate their good faith, I requested a refund of $12 for the May trash service fee. My request, was denied as well as subsequent request for the name and contact information of our area director. Email said dumpsters did not effect my ability to reside in my apartment home and further added, "... In addition, we do not have an agreement with you as to the frequency of the dumpsters being emptied." While true by letter of the law, the spirit of it does not support the mission and values expressed by Pinnacle, nor is such verbiage included on the Trash Addendum in the lease. Otherwise, it is not inherently worse than other properties and only indicates the customer service epidemic in apartment living: Apathy.

I've lived here over ten years and I've never seen it this bad. Used to be a lovely place to live. Now, there is trash everywhere, maintenance takes MONTHS to respond to maintenance requests (if they respond at all), my car was broken into - this place is a dump and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It's so disappointing as I used to love living here. Now it's an embarrassment. I don't even want to invite people over - the neighbors are crazy loud, partying until 5:00 in the morning. When I called the courtesy patrol he acted like he couldn't understand why I was complaining. Like it's normal to party until 5:00am! When my lease is up, I am out of here. What a joke.

I've lived at Carrington Park Apartments for five years now and it was a great place to live for the majority of this time. However, there have been two changes in ownership since I moved in and ever since the last owner took over it has gone down hill fast. I suspect it is more about the manager than owner but same result. There is now trash everywhere, the grounds are not kept up, the pool has only recently opened again after being closed for several months. Maintenance does't respond anymore to request online or in person, or if they do it is extremely slow and requires three to four reminders. There have been billing errors and I have come home three times in the last few months to find the Plano police responding to some type of issue such as domestic violence. I just don't feel safe here anymore, and it is a real shame because the location is excellent.

The facility is up to date and the personnel are friendly and courteous.
