Property Ratings at Carson Hills Apartments
My experience with Carson Hills Apartments has been nothing short of excellent since the day I made a quick stop just to take a look at the Apartments. The entire staff, but specifically Alex, has always been polite, respectful, understanding and most of all professional. The location is perfect and I am happy with everything that is included with my lease but most of all, for me, I feel safe and am so happy to call Carson Hills Apartments my HOME!! To Alex and everyone who keeps me and my family happy and safe, THANK YOU!!
I'm glad to be out of this place after eight months. The only good thing I can say is that the apartments are newly (albeit cheaply) built. There is not nearly enough parking for the number of units in the complex. The package hub is also far too small so half of our packages were delivered to the office instead. When that happens, the office never lets you know; it's just up to you to track down your package. During the first snowfall the roads throughout the complex, which are very steep, turned to black ice. I personally drove past two cars that had spun out into a snowbank. When the tenants called with concerns about the situation, instead of getting ice removal out there, management just sent a snarky email advising us to use the other entrance to the complex (not a solution, by the way, as our apartment was located halfway up a hill so we either had to drive up black ice or down it to get to our unit). Finally, they will use your deposit however they like. Before we moved we asked the manager how much they would charge to clean the unit if we didn't do it ourselves. He lied and told me $265 (pretty expensive right!). He then turned around and charged us $384.95. When we disputed the charge we got nowhere. They also charged us $375 for a "partial paint job," even though there was very minor touch up needed. Shockingly, when we disputed that charge the manager's supervisor told us she would have charged us even more for the paint job! That should tell you all you need to know about their dishonest business practices. How much you receive of your deposit isn't tied to their cost.. It's up to the whims of whoever is settling the account.
The actual apartments are fine but there is very very limited parking. You also don’t have access to your entire unit, their are portions, like the door to the water heater, that are completely inaccessible. The features are great when they actually work, but it takes a while once your moved in for everything to work. Management and the people who work in the office have little to no knowledge of the buildings. Some buildings have the bottom units on the actual ground floor and some are downstairs, management has no idea which buildings have which and will misrepresent the property. Moving out was as much of a nightmare as moving in. They don’t have any standards for painting charges and will lie about cleaning charges as well. Unless you have a lot of extra money to waste and plenty of time to deal with their bs, stay away!
