Property Ratings at CASA Apartments - Waukegan
If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. I would avoid these apartments at all costs. The building is dirty & outdated. They have you sign a lease, and then apparently they end up losing the lease, as if you never signed one at all. The “landlord” couldn’t care less about his tenants. There are mice and roaches everywhere. You can hear them in the walls, you’ll see them in your apartment, you’ll find mice poop everywhere, etc. The parking is horrible. You’re supposed to have a sticker to be able to park in the lot, and the landlord does nothing to enforce this. There are many cars without stickers, therefore there is often no parking. The building has water issues a lot, such as lack of hot water, water regulation issues, etc. There are two washers and dryers and at least one is always broken. There’s cameras in the hallways, but if something were to get stolen like a package or literally anything you might leave in the hall, the landlord will do nothing about it and say that the cameras don’t work. Most of the mailboxes are broken/open. The landlord is known for not giving security deposits back. It’s unheard of for anyone to actually get it back upon moving out, for various reasons. I could go on forever, but this place is definitely a dump and not worth the “cheaper” price of rent. I guess you get what you pay for.
Worse place ever to move the landlord don’t do nothing when it’s time to fix stuff holes in my walls the last two years I stayed there just move out last month they have roaches And bugs I don’t recommend now one to move here
I moved here to a studio apt.in September 2017, and i became comfortable from the start..neighbors here very friendly...im disabled, and there was always someone around to help me with my full shopping cart... I felt safe, secure, and i enjoyed the peace and quiet here...the bldg manager/maintenance man was always prompt, and available....the landlords also were very nice, and always answered texts, emails, phone calls, promptly.... I had to move early just for health reasons, and i appreciated their understanding of my unusual situation.....ill miss my time here, and i will refer anyone who is looking for a reasonably priced, safe and secure place to live...
I work at Navy station and live in 2035 Georgetown building for the last 12 months. It is great location and it take 10minutes for me to get to work in the morning. My apartment is very large, with the hardwood floor - love it. Maintenance manager, lives in the same building and he fixes issues immediately. What I like the most is that heat is free and I don't need to pay for anything but electric bill. My unit even has free Wi-Fi. When I signed up the lease, I thought I would stay for 6 months only, since this lease option was available, but now I just extended my lease for another 12 months.
Moved my wife and 2 kids into this complex 6 months ago and could not be happier! Quite street, plenty of parking, steps to shopping plaza right behind the building with fresh produce store, Aldi, etc. I really like on-site maintenance as the building and grounds are always clean and repairs are done in a timely manner if required. The rent price for my 2bd is $750 and that is the lowest I've seen in Waukegan area for an apartment of this size. There were no added fees, just the 30$ for rental application. My wife is loving it here and I could not be more happier. We are not planning to move any time soon. - Juan.
My family is living in 2 bedroom apartment for almost 2 years now. We decided to rent here because the apartment was spacious and the rent price was low in comparison to other places we have seen. The building owner has changed in January of 2015 and things are getting better ever since. There is building manager that lives on-site that keeps an eye on the building, keeping it clean and doing the service on apartments when needed. There were major improvements to the building and area but the owner still keeps the rents low. Plenty of parking in the back of the building for our 2 cars. Overall solid building with hard working people and great value for your hard earned $$$.
I'm honestly trying to relocate to a better location.the area is a poverty area I'm currently on section 8 just want to rise my kids in a better area
