This desert neighborhood is named after the Resler Canyon that borders the community. This 91-acre nature preserve is home to hiking trails and abundant cacti. The residential areas of this small enclave are known for their cost-effective housing options since there are rentals available for every budget. Complemented by tree-lined streets, Resler Canyon features apartment complexes, townhomes, and single-family homes in a variety of architectural styles including pueblo and Mediterranean.
Along North Mesa Street, which consists of the neighborhood’s northern border, residents have access to several shopping plazas filled with department stores, restaurants, and grocers. Outdoor lovers will adore being about a 15-minute drive to Franklin Mountains State Park.

Property Ratings at Casa Barranca
Good professional staff! Great customer service. Fair prices for the square footage of the apartment.
I am a former resident of casa barranca apartment. i had deposited a good amount of security deposit with the apartment office. but it is not refunded in spite of repeated requests.
First of all, The apartments in person look nothing like the pictures seen online. It super messy on the outside and on the inside nothing was together. Counters wasn’t painted right, the cabinets were falling apart, uneven flooring. It looked TERRIBLE. Me and my husband was super disappointed when we went on a tour. They don’t even take time to clean up the outside of the facility.
The girls are super rude, and they give you the apartment in poor condition. I live in a two-room, two-bathroom apartment, but it is very small. I have been paying $400 in services plus rent for two months when there are only two people living there from Monday to Friday and the bills are in super arrears. My neighbor, who lives with two kids and his wife, paid $600 just for the water service, and the girls at the office didn't want to resolve anything.
Move in: 4 day move in time frame, but it is not described they actually want you to move in on the fourth day because of cleaning... Summer: Multiple AC and power issues at least once a month. Slow maintenance on air conditioning repair. Power issues solved quickly, but that is delegated by the city anyways Winter: No more AC issues because it's off. Interior inspection attempts by management in order to presumably add the last expense to the books. Inspections fails, because of no notices. Occurrence of one inspection that didn't happened because well it was on a holiday (Veterans Day). Mind they didn't even say it was canceled. Management does an exterior inspection without notice. Sends maintenance to fix broken blinds without notice, maintenance attempts to enter without approval of resident, or notice. Maintenance, are nice individuals, but their managers are something else. Move out: TBD
In honesty, the apartments look nice on the inside. For what you pay it is a good price. But that's it. The management team is horrendous. In other locations I am used a rather more professional management team, to whom are able to work with almost any individual. For these apartments and subsidiaries that are managed by them, this is not the case. Needy inspections have only one day to complete. No option to schedule meetings for inspections. No notices for times for needed maintenance, due to the inspection. This is the most concerning one as it seems that maintenance can and will just waltz into an apartment to complete the maintenance without contacting the tenant. Which causes a violation privacy for the tenants and quite honestly breaks their lease agreement. (But dont tell them that or they will get in fit.) It's just a mess, as this team cannot, organize and manage an apartment complex.
These are he worst apartments. There are other apartments that are around the same price and are managed and maintained a lot better. Just keep looking. These are awful. They will find a way to screw you over for more money!
The property is a total disaster. Water liks, bathroom clogs, smell from drainage smells everywhere. Very dark at night. Maintenance won't fix things for you. No a/c at laundry rooms! Won't recommend it at all.
