Location is great. Reason for 1 star. Great too that they have some units with a patio and attached garage. Reason for 2 star. But no other stars because Complex on the surface looks good, especially compared to other complexes in HB. However, when they prepare a unit for a new tenant they just paint over the old paint with out any primer or sanding so you see all the areas where paint previously peeled and new paint easily peels. , They moved the knobs on the cabinets, instead of putting in new cabinets, and patched the holes but didn't sand so you see the patch. The faucets in the kitchen and bathroom leak and need to be replaced due to corrosion. When it rains there's frequent mold issues in the garage. As they say "they slapped lipstick on a pig" to get by but the stuff they do is lazy and doesnt fix the issue. Now for the leasing office team, don't expect any help from them. Once they lure you in to rent a unit, they aren't willing to help you out if you have issues with your unit. They definitely don't go above and beyond to help the tenants. They spend their time and money on planning food truck visits and ice cream socials rather than putting money back into the complex or helping residents with serious issues concerning the complex.

It used to be a great place to live. Now it has become a homeless people hangout place. The pools are always dirty and closed several times per year because the health inspection needs to shut them down! In the mornings, you can see homeless people washing themselves off in the pools!
management is horrible , hidden move out fees, $190 cleaning fee when apartment was left with out any trash.
I just moved-in and so far I like it, Michael is the one who helped me, such a professional & knowledgeable apartment manager I've ever met compare to other complex, always taking care all the tenants, the complex are quiet/ clean/ organize, haven't tried the pool area (so I'm not so sure how sanitize it is)

I recently lived in this apartment and and left because I had a terrible experience due to rat infestations and many other things. Despite numerous complaints to the management, the issue was not adequately addressed and I was left to deal with it on my own. This apartment complex also has issues with lack of parking at night time and homeless individuals wandering around the complex. While I empathize with their situations, their presence makes me feel uneasy and unsafe. Save yourself the hassle and avoid this apartment at all cost.
It's very close to the beach. People are quite nice, and the place is very clean and well maintained. I gave a 3 stars because there's an office guy named 'Freddy'. He seems nice at first but he's extremely defensive, and he's consistently using reasons, excuses when I bring maintenance requests that had been delayed for days.

My family and I have enjoyed our time here (over 2 years). Amenities are nice and it’s close to the beach. It is also a quiet neighborhood. The apartments themselves are spacious and comfortable.

I've lived here for 2 years and I can also guarantee you that your car will get crashed into here. Drunk drivers consistently use the front parking as a place to sleep and rest. There is absolutely no security monitoring this and I was involved in a hit and run leaving $2,000 worth of damage to my car. Even with a police report nothing...... There is no parking and lots of riff raff walking the streets out in front late at night. The amenities have been closed for over a year and they have no plans to open these anytime soon. Some decent things about this place is the location and the price of rent. The actual units are ok and clean when you move in. The moment they raise the rent this place will no longer have any appeal. This is an ok place to move in as your first apartment,

We are sorry to hear that you have been less than satisfied with your experience. We are so sorry your car may have been involved in an incident with a drunk driver. We can clarify that HBPD did come out, though our software is not equipped to provide them with the details needed. To prevent incidents like this from happening we do have security that patrols the property nightly and our team in the office is happy to assist file a complaint. In regards to our amenities, due to Covid-19, the amenities had to be closed for longer than anticipated. The pool is set to be opening soon, and we will notify residents as soon as we have a date. Your cars will get crashed into you’ll get ticketed for not being able to find a spot when you get home police constantly go through here I saw somebody checking car doors the other day

Close To the beach and Every time I needed to fix something in my apartment they did it the same day. But there is someone stolen delivery and laundry and they don’t do anything though.

Yes the rent may be cheap and you’re a mile from the beach. Two of my bikes were stolen and my neighbors also had their belongings stolen. The laundry is also stolen frequently. The dumpster are always over flowing and there are homeless people rummaging through it. People let their dogs poop everywhere and they don’t clean it up. The manager Arlene doesn’t respond to requests. This has been my experience. Not good. Looking to move as soon as my lease expires.

Location, Location, Location! The proximity to the beach makes Casa Del Sol a must see complex. As a long-term resident I am happy to call CDS my home. The grounds are beautiful and the apartments are spacious. I have found management and the office staff to be highly professional and most helpful. The maintenance team is friendly and consistently resolves issues in a timely manner. A tenant who enjoys lounging at the CDS pool frequently exclaims, “It’s just another day in paradise”. I couldn’t agree more. I encourage all prospective tenants to take a tour of the complex. If you decide to make Casa Del Sol your home get a beach cruiser. It’s one of the best ways to quickly get from the complex to what cures everything – the ocean! Take advantage of that less than a mile from the beach! I first applied for a 1b/1b here and I was turned down. After pointing out I had 35K in reserves, I was approved! I ended up only staying here less than 3 month's. In that time I had constant plumbing issues. Kitchen sink backing up in the bathroom sink. After two attempts of clearing the main line I was told the problem was solved. The day I moved out the kitchen sink backed up! Old dry rotted wood under the kitchen counters. Laundry room machines old a barely operational. I ended up breaking my lease and paying one months rent to do it! Before doing so I visited the office to find out what procedures needed to happen so I would have a trouble free exit. I elected for the $120.00 move out cleaning to be deducted from my $500.00 deposit. When I received my refund an additional $55.00 was charged for carpet cleaning! I contacted the office staff to discuss the charge. I was told that unless I had paid a professional to clean my carpets the charge would stand. When I brought up the fact I had lived there less than three month's and when I had visited the office I was not told I needed to have the carpets cleaned the response from office staff was, ' The carpets needed to be cleaned and I will not be receiving that money back!" Screw me I guess! Good luck if you rent here

Before your move-out, we resolved the work order requests regarding the sinks in your apartment home. Upon move-out, we were under the impression there were no other work order concerns within the home. We always welcome residents to discuss with us any remaining work order requests before vacating the apartment home so that we may resolve them in a timely manner. We have laundry rooms on every floor of each building. Our staff regularly cleans and inspects the laundry rooms and machines and we report any problems to our vendor, who responds quickly. If you experience any trouble with the washers and/or dryers, please let the office know so that we may make a service call with our vendor and have the problem remedied. We don't want to divulge any personal information via this public forum, so we strongly encourage you to call or email the office for further explanation of your move-out charges. I have lived in Casa Del Sol more than 3 years. Mainly due to the rent. But it does have always problems. Here are the cons: PLUMBING The plumbing is messed up, at least in our building. About once a month they have to turn off the water because the plumbing needs work. Many times I need to call the plumber out because the bathtub or sink doesn't train. AND the water always leaks into our bedroom. My bed and stuff has been destroyed twice during this time because the water made them mold. I didn't realize that the carpet was soaked underneath till I started smelling mold. The apartment complex did nothing to remedy this - they told me that they don't compensate or give rent credit. NO PARKING HOMELESS PEOPLE always going through trash NOT SAFE - your stuff gets stolen!!! Once somebody tried to break into my apartment and bicycle was stolen from my patio. The complex is not helpful - they tell you that this is why I should have insurance. PROS: close to the beach
I PAID RENT ON THE 1ST; CHECK WAS CASHED ON THE 3RD; WOKE UP TO "PAY OR QUIT" NOTICE TACKED TO MY DOOR THIS MORNING-I'VE BEEN HERE LESS THAN 2 MONTHS AND: HAD TO ASK FOR EVERYTHING DOWN TO MY GATE REMOTE. I WAS NEVER SHOWN AROUND THE PROPERTY; NEVER GIVEN THE CODES TO THE POOL/GYM. I HAD TO ASK HOW TO PAY FOR THE WASHER/DRYERS DUE TO NOT BEING INSTRUCTED ON THE CARD PROCESS. THEN THERES THE REPAIR SERVICES. I SPOKE TO 3 PEOPLE RE: MY PILOT LIGHT ON MY STOVE. I HAD TO GO IN, RAISE MY VOICE, AFTER 3 DAYS TO GET THEM TO GET IT LIT. WHEN THE GUY CAME IN TO LIGHT THE STOVE, HE WENT TO THE HEATER INSTEAD--IGNORED ME ASKING HIM WHY HE WAS GOING INTO MY HALLWAY. IVE NEVER HAD SUCH A BAD, VERY BAD FIRST AND CONTINUING IMPRESSION OF AN ORGANIZATION IN MY LIFE!!!! I MOVED HERE DUE TO FAMILY BEING HERE AND LOVING IT. HA! WHAT A BAD DECESION.
I moved in last November and like it. I read lots of unsavory reviews, but a friend lives there, and I loved the floor plan so I took a chance. I have not had any issues with the staff, and when I need them they respond promptly. It's a great complex as far as I'm concerned. Apt 176
This is the second time renting here. We lived here about 17 years ago. Comming back, was like coming home. The office staff are always very nice and helpfull; anything that needs to be reparied is always done on the very same day. The maintenance people are very friendly and get the job done. We have been here since August 2012 and have no complaints. The complex is almost done with the renovation and it looks beautiful. They also have very beautiful grounds that are taken care of always even during construction. They have a Christmas Party that is very giving to their residence. Lots of fun and give aways. As you can tell we love living here.
