Stretching from Silver Strand State Beach to the mountains of the Otay Open Space Preserve, Chula Vista lives up to its name, which is Spanish for “beautiful view.” In between the Pacific coast and the mountains, you’ll discover hills, canyons, and miles of hiking trails. This city celebrates its diversity and its history, which dates back before Spanish exploration in the 1500s. The area that is now Chula Vista was part of a land grant in 1795, and eventually became a part of the US (with the rest of California) in the mid-1800s. The city finally incorporated in 1911.
Lemons play a role in Chula Vista’s history, as it became the world’s lemon-growing hub in the late 1800s and is still known as the “Lemon Capital of the World.” While you likely won’t find too many lemon trees today, you will discover more than 60 beautiful parks and a variety of outdoor activities ranging from swimming and surfing to hiking and mountain biking.

Property Ratings at Casa La Paz
I’ve lived here for over a year, and the amenities are terrible. The laundry room is full of washers and dryers that do not work. The machines even eat your change, then you have to call a number and tell them which machine took your money and they send you a check weeks later. The manager is rude and very unprofessional. She approached my husband a military war veteran and was very aggressive toward him telling him he couldn’t do mechanical work on his car, which he wasn’t. Yet many other tenants work on their car. So pretty much management plays favorites. Beware the apartment itself is cheaply done and not worth the price.
Here, we live in a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment. We have a kitchen, living room, and tiny "dining area". Its a nice apartment, clean carpet, nice paint color, new bathtubs and sinks. My only complaint would be, ELECTRIC STOVES. I am new to San Diego county so i dont know how they do things. Electric stoves are just sooo hard to cook with. The "flame" is either too hot or doesnt get hot at all. Its as if, "inferno hot" is the only setting. Other than that, the on-site laundry room is okay, the pool has been remodeled, the greenery is always kept up, and the noise level is low. I would definitely stay a while.
