Tucson is a lively oasis in Arizona’s Sonoran Desert, surrounded by numerous mountain ranges. The city of Tucson is as scenic as it gets, seeing as it’s surrounded by beautiful nature preserves and mountainous terrain, including Saguaro National Park, Mount Lemmon, and Tucson Mountain Park – making it an excellent place for renters who love mountain biking, hiking, camping, and rock climbing.
The University of Arizona is just a few blocks from Downtown Tucson, and the more than 40,000 students enrolled at the university contribute to the city’s eclectic arts, entertainment, and nightlife scenes. Downtown Tucson has undergone major renovations since the early 2000s, blossoming into a thriving hub of activity for residents and visitors alike.
The Davis-Monthan Air Force Base lies near the center of the city, and is one of Tucson’s biggest employers for armed service personnel and civilians alike.

Property Ratings at CASA PRESIDIO
Not great so far. To be fair, the space is very comfortable with the vaulted ceiling and clerestory in the living room. The managers and maintenance personal are very nice, but there have been a number of issues in the one week that we have been here. 1. The cable outlets in the living room do not work. 2. Balcony sliding door would not lock upon move-in. 3. Utility closet on balcony had to be re-keyed to be able to open after move-in. 4. Lower shelf of refrigerator had a chunk missing over the front left support which caused it to collapse onto the drawers below. 5. Clothes dryer requires at least two full cycles, sometimes three to get the clothes dry. 6. Move-in charge quote was short by $60 and they only accept money orders, cashiers checks, or a fee to pay with a checking account online. 7. Laundry closet fan cover will not stay in place. 8. The bathtub and shower floor surfaces are filthy and was told that they need the place vacated for a day, or a minimum four hours. Should have been addressed prior to move-in. Our cats would have to be boarded at our expense during that time. 9. The HVAC grilles were filthy at move-in. The low-hanging fruit in the items above (#2, #3, and #4) have been addressed and #7 is in the works. However, we dropped #1 after Cox Communications came out and determined that the living room outlets are dead because, to be fair, we do have a router and smart TVs. (It is still ridiculous to have no working cable tv outlet in the living room). We have not even brought up #5 or #9 because I don't expect they will do anything regarding #5 and as far as #9, we cleaned the filthy grilles ourselves.
Large unique floor plans with granite counter tops and washer and dryer in each apartment. State of the art gym with key fob access so I can work out any time. Love that is a gated community as well.
We just moved out of Casa Presidio and I'm surprised there are no reviews here so thought I'd add one. It's great apartment complex, reasonably priced and well managed and maintained. Riya at the office was great. He's responsive and a super nice guy. The location of the complex is also great- it's within walking distance to all the restaurants on Campbell and basically right in the very middle of Tucson (so close to everything whichever way). They also don't charge you an arm and a leg for things like pet rent, or a 'second floor' fee. The trash, water and sewer is all on one bill. Definitely check out this place, it's one of the best apartment complexes I've lived in.
