Separated from Eugene and the University of Oregon by the Willamette River and I-5, Springfield is a terrific city with wooded neighborhoods, mountain views, amazing outdoor adventures -- and yes, it is that Springfield. Matt Groening is an Oregon native, after all, and he based his fictional town of "Springfield" in the animated Simpsons series after Springfield, Oregon. The city even offers an unofficial Simpsons tour of Springfield, and some of the similarities are uncanny. For example, there really is a stylized horse statue at the entrance to the city, and Max's Tavern is claimed to have inspired the show's Moe's Tavern -- it is eerily similar. Max's opened in 1932, and it is rumored that Groening spent his college years in the tavern, sketching.
And while you won't be able to head out of your Springfield apartment to enjoy a Duff's beer, you will find a Moe's Tavern, and the city is known for its craft beer. It is also known for its outdoor adventures.

Property Ratings at Castle Terrace Apartments
It's safe and quiet here. I've been here 10 years now. The people who live here are hard working, decent people. The management is professional and quick to resolve any issues that may come up. There's not a lot of chaos going on around here. Maintenance people are outstanding. I feel safe here.
Great location, Emx express bus stop on the property for quick way to get around town, nice clean units, manager is responsive and friendly. No drugs or crime tolerated in this apartment complex. Quiet and peaceful vibe. Solid value for rent price. Laundry room and off street parking.
4 bikes stolen on this property. so much theft on this property one of the neighbors installed a surveillance camera in her window but the management company made her take it down
witnessed a shooting between a drug dealer and a family member of the management company, watched him die. the neighbor died because the management refused to salt the icy steps. have had to call the police several times for aggressive neighbors. and if you get past all that to view the property get ready for a handsy hug and attempted kiss from the large old neighbor with boundary issues, he goes by rick. it would be a great location if not for the people that live there
Good location but dangerous renters. Police have been called 11 times to the same apartment; one report said they were called there because someone who stayed there was wanted by the police; not a safe place.
Conveniently located on the EMX bus line and only .3 miles from the Willamette River and Day Island Park. 5 minute walk to the bars downtown yet still comfortably far from any noisy party scene. This apartment has huge windows in every room that let in lots of light. It is very clean with carpet in the living room and linoleum in the spacious kitchen. This home is super cozy and warm in the winter. Living on the bus line makes getting to school so fast and easy, 10 minute ride and I'm there. My neighbors here make me feel safe, like a community looking out for each other.
