Property Ratings at Castlegate Collier Hills
Stephanie (the property manager) was extremely professional in thoroughly explaining the benefits of living here. She knew the answers to my many questions right away. The time was taken to help me find the best unit for my needs. My move was seamless and I definitely felt welcomed. Thanks Stephanie!
The office staff have been very friendly and helpful during my stay.
The office staff have been very friendly and helpful during my stay here. I would also like to say that maintenance is always on top of everything.
I toured the community with the leasing agent and I was very impressed with what I saw. She was knowledgeable about the area. The property looks well-maintained and upkept. The pool water was so clear I wanted to dive in lol.
I’ve had a great experience, living here, from the moment that I toured until now. The apartments are beautiful you’re close to the city, but hidden. Which I love! The new manager Kat has made great changes. I will be renewing
This is definitely a hidden gem! They have done so much great improvement to this community from apartments to the staff! Katerin, I am a happy resident, thank you!
I don't know about all these bad reviews, but I've had almost no issues since I've been here. They reeplaced my water heater in 4 days after the old one went out, it happens, but they took care of it extremely quickly. Ive had a couple other normal apartment stuff and requests but nothing out of the ordinary, I've seen bad management and this is not it. Sorry some people expect perfection at this kinda price point. This is extremely affordable for Atlanta... I feel that management does quite well on the budget they are working with.
This has been the hardest living arrangement. I haven’t lived but a month and I’ve had 4 maintenance request and when I woke up yesterday, my room was FLOODED improper care of the outside pipes and sewage lines. I’m on the bottom floor and the water came from the ground. They my bed is ruined. They say they are not responsible. Even though it’s there fault I can’t stay at my apartment since I can’t sleep in my bed. They won’t help with a hotel, they won’t check for mold. They just put a dehumidifier yet I’m SEVERELY allergic to mold. I have had sinus issues since I moved in and there is a sweet smell. This is terrible. They are only replacing the outside of the unit but not caring for what could be wrong inside the unit. This choice came from REGIONAL MANAGEMENT. The apartment was clearly not ready. DONT GO HERE. The only good thing is the location in proximity to down town. Parking sucks, gates broken, package lockers broken, no security system even when it’s in your lease. I will be calling code enforcement before I get sick, my neighbors have mold and had rats and everything in between. Just DO NOT DO IT! I am a property manager at another place and I would never treat people the way they treated me yesterday. I was willing to work with them but they obviously don’t care about my well being as a paying customer that upkeeps her rent, and residential duties. JUST DONT DO LIVE HERE .
When first moved in this was a great place to live. The new management company who bought it seems to care very little about this place. Rats in the walls, Trash bags allowed to stay in the breezeways for weeks at a time, and the gate is permanently broken.
Let’s start from the beginning I’ve lived here for going on two years and CANT WAIT FOR MY LEASE to be done. I lived in the one and two bedroom apartments here… both times I moved in the A/C did NOT work. Once I moved into the 2 bedroom which was a complete fiasco, they had the fire alarm out, fridge door was broke, and again it was the summer and A/C did not work. I had to stay in a hotel for 3 days until they fixed the a/c and was never compensated. No one is ever in the leasing office NOR do they pick up the phone. Last time I called they left me on hold for 10 minutes just to look for a pen. One of my neighbors said they’ve seen rats, the GATES DONT WORK! Leasing management (Kayla) are rude, last week I had scheduled a covid test before traveling for Christmas, and the leasing office had my car blocked by plumber’s so I had to get an Uber just to make my appointment. I go to talk to someone else in the leasing office about moving their vehicle so I could leave and they also had an attitude and said you just need to reschedule (the day before my flight). Once I got there the doctor wouldn’t test me because I got there 20 minutes after dealing with the leasing office. The neighbors are loud I hear the people on top of me screaming and arguing daily. It was a shooting just here last week in the apartment next to mines as well. The apartments are OLD, the outlets in my apartment barely work,. The new management came in took away the flex and online options we had. Again I could keep listing things but I’ll stop here for now. Over priced old apartments, the only good thing about these apartments is where it’s located. Stay away
I’m leaving this review solely because I wish someone had prior to me moving in. I was moved into a unit that had a known rat infestation in the walls (the whole building does). It turns out the majority of the wall behind the dishwasher was gone due to the rats prior to me moving in. This was found a month after my prior maintenance requests and was told “we don’t move appliances unless they are broken”. (My electric bill was high and it turns out this was why) Then the scratching at the cabinets became more loud and disturbing. I was told to stop making requests, they can’t patch every hole found, and to just call the office. In the end I moved 3-4 months after moving in because I ended up catching 3 rats in 2 days with traps I personally purchased ( the traps they had been setting did nothing). I read my own lease to find a way to break it because they clearly did not care and took weeks to decide whether they should charge me. The office was made aware and did nothing although they knew they placed me in an uninhabitable environment that caused both illness and emotional stress. I feel as though they took advantage of me to sum it up.

Do not live here this place has a Rat/Mouse problem!! I tried to contact the leasing office and finally got in contact with someone after a week. Nobody would answer my calls. They sent and exterminator/patch up holes I have behind my oven which did nothing. This place is infested with rats they run through the walls. Several people have complained and they do nothing. They have had several car break-ins including mine, and after finally getting in touch with the leasing office they told me that it wasn’t their issue. I was told that this is an APD problem and not theirs even though they fail to provide adequate security.

Affordable. However location is right off the interstate, and the two roads to get out are TERRIBLE with traffic. Also, while the staff was kind, management was rude and not helpful in the least. I would recommend paying a little bit more for a nicer place.

Pros- The access to the highway, stores, Atlantic Station and Howell Mill. The mail lady knows you by your first name. Updated appliances. Cons- Parking! Sometimes you won’t be able to park near your own building. You may have to go to the other end of the apartment complex and walk back. Grills barely work. Cheap paint that covers up the fact that this place is old. Traffic! Northside gets backed up and it becomes a nightmare trying to get home. Possums at night because you are in a wooded area. Possums are also needed because they eat rodents. This place has rodents! RUN! Don’t walk!
The price is reasonable and there are a lot of great things about living here. But this is an older complex so it is far from perfect. Pros: A little slice of suburban peace that is still convenient to downtown. Security onsite every night makes you feel very safe! Great neighborhood. Has Publix, Walmart, nice parks, etc. Washer and dryer in our unit! And all appliances work great! Reasonable rent rates. Friendly staff that try to make the complex a good place to live. Cons: Older building, so a bunch of small things need fixing pretty often. Not luxurious. Cheap paint makes the doors/cabinets stick, cheap counters, carpet, etc. Right next to the highway/hospital, so you hear a lot of traffic and sirens at all hours. Overall it's a good place to live, especially if you prefer suburban over urban. Great for a student's budget.

I've been here nine months and so far, so good! I have a spacious one bedroom apartment, walk-in closet, hall closet, and washers and dryers are included with apartments. For reference, I have enough space in my living room for a five piece sectional, an electric fireplace for a tv-stand, bookshelves, and against the window--a small office space. Apartments also have extra storage on the patio or balcony. Non-smoking community. Major Pros: Convenient location to 75/85, Howell Mill Shopping Center, Atlantic Station, Buckhead, and Midtown. Quiet, small, and clean community Smaller community means less congestion at the pool during summer Quick service for maintenance requests Security patrols and alarm systems in every apartment (although it could probably use an upgrade) Major Cons: No visitor's parking and rules are strictly enforced. 1 bedrooms get one unassigned space, even if you own multiple vehicles. Parking can also get tight if you get home past 6pm. In that case, you have to park at the back of the lot and walk No fitness center No system to tell you when you've received a package. Office staff expects you to know, without telling you, that A: you have a package delivered B: they have it in the office Some neighbors don't clean up after their pets (to be fair this could be an issue anywhere)
