It’s nice for the price. Some of the staff is so nice. The apartment is nice overall for the price. You get what you pay for type of thing. The back pool is really nice.
Maintenance is very fast! The office staff is semi-helpful. At move-in, units were clean and nice. The amenities are great too, the pool and gym are nice.

I love the environment! My roommates are great and the pool is always clean. I enjoy the gym and how quick the bus routes are. Glad I signed!
Soon to be resident I am looking forward to using all the amenities and resources provided.The gym and the pools as well as the trash being taken out for you was what really won me over.
I have moved every year that I have been in San Marcos and this is by far one of the best experiences I have had move in to now. This complex has grown so much since the new management took over last year. I do recommend this place to anyone who is looking for their first apartment (coming from someone who has lived in 4 different ones lol).
I love living here! My neighbors are so nice and the staff as well :)! They are very understanding! I love the fun events they create for us students! And they are very student welcoming
Leasing was so quick and easy, and early leasing deals are amazing! The workers are so easy to communicate with, kind, and always willing to help you out with questions.
Just moved here, and already love it! Great amenities, first stop on the school shuttle, and great maintenance team! Trash valet is very efficient and front desk is alway there to help with any issues!
So far I have had a great experience! The maintenance is always very fast and the work staff at the front office are always very helpful. The gym is just right to get a really good workout in and the pools are nothing short of relaxing and fun.

Despite the area being nice, my experience has been low due to the fact that when I moved in, my common space in the apartment was absolutely trashed and they said there was nothing to be done because it’s on my roommate to clean the apartment. I brought everything into my room, and I left for the weekend, because it was so disgusting in the shared space that I did not want to be in the same area
The staff is so friendly and the back pool is beautiful , I love the amenities here and it was a very smooth move in process for me, so I really appreciated that.
I'm very excited to live in this property, it seems that they have very good amenities! I really like the apartment itself along with the features it has. Overall the management has been doing a good job of welcoming us and having us prepared.

I have only been here a month, but so far so good! I've even had a maintenance issue already and they were on it the day of! Impressed....
The apartment complex does not answer phones or emails in a timely manner. The hours are usually never accurate either. Expect them to open two hours late and close an hour early daily.
My resident experience started off pretty bad. I was placed into a dirty apartment with dirty roommates and there were no regards for the conditions of the place even after reporting to them multiple times about my living conditions. I was also hospitalized due to the apartment doing filthy as it was affecting my asthma. Just recently in July the fully renovated all the apartments and it look quite nice obviously not the nicest becuase you pay for what you get but, one a scale from 1-5 I’d give it a 3 for sure. The paint job if awful I do have to say, they just paint over anything including the light switches, but I can’t complain any longer because it is what it is. Overall my experience has been a 2.5 because there are other issues that I can’t fit into one review, but I wanted to highlight my main issue. That is my true honest rating as a student who resides at the Mirage for a year.
great experience but i think the front desk staff could be a bit nicer when trying to call the front. other than that id say that ive had no issues.
The experience at The Mirage is overall good. The staff is friendly and the maintenance service is quick to respond. The amenities are nice. The only thing that needs to change is the pest control, because even though we kept things cleaned and organized, we got a lot of cockroaches in the apartment. When we moved in, the vents and surrounding areas were covered in mold and with all the inspections that took place, it was never addressed or taken care of. If that were to change, it would definitely make this rating a 5 out of 5.
I have mixed feelings about The Mirage. There are some definite positives: the property is well-maintained, the location is great, and the overall appearance is nice. However, there are significant downsides that impact my experience. The biggest issue is the front office service. I've had numerous interactions with them, and unfortunately, they have consistently been rude and unhelpful. They are slow to respond to questions and concerns, which is very frustrating. While the maintenance team does a good job keeping the property in shape, the front office service leaves a lot to be desired. If customer service and responsiveness are important to you, you might want to consider other options.
Amenities are great ezpecially the new pool. Staff is good depends on who is working some arent the best with customer service. Other than is a good place

The apartments at Mirage are nice, offering great amenities and fairly reasonable rent. The maintenance team is efficient and fixes things quickly, ensuring everything runs smoothly. However, the front desk can sometimes be less attentive when it comes to responding to answering questions. Despite this, many upgrades have been made within the units, making them much nicer than before. Overall, Mirage provides a comfortable living experience with room for some improvement in customer service.

Dish washer, washer and dryer are super old. Internet has been inconsistent at very inconvenient times. I would not recommend stating here or renewing my lease at all

WiFi goes out all the time. It’s frustrating when you are trying to do assignments. Rent is cheap and it is on the shuttle route so that is a plus.

The only thing positive about this place is the maintenance staff. I’m looking forward to move out date. The noise level in these apartments is truly bad
The complex is nice, ive had to wait almost three months for a gift card though. I think we should be notified more than just once about inspections.
So far, i have enjoyed staying at castlerock, the staff is super friendly and anytime something is wrong they help you as quickly as possible. Affordable rent.
Overall great experience living here at Castle Rock. Been here for 3 years and I can't say that I was disappointed. Wish there were more community events
I have enjoyed my time here during my college years. Prices are great, all of my maintenance needs get met and responses are quick from the front office via email. As I get older and am not in college anymore there are certain things that I need as in bigger closets, thicker walls and better wifi/cable plans. Overall nothing too major but just things that are priorities for me.

Great amenities. I had terrible neighbors, fortunately they are gone. There are inspections more often than i’ve been used to in past apartment experiences. Roommates told me the front staff was rude to them once or twice but i haven’t had a bad experience.

I’ve enjoyed my time at castlerock for the 2 years I’ve been here but it is time for a change. The location isn’t desirable for me due to being a good distance from areas I like to frequent and the space in the apartment just isn’t big enough for what I want. I’ve had nothing but good experiences with staff and maintenance and it was a good beginner apartment

The staff is always smiling and super friendly. When I first toured I had gone to other apartments and Castlerock by far had the friendliest staff and best tours.
I like our apartment except for the large amounts of roaches, but we got spray and they seemed to have died down. Opening a drawer to grab a fork only to be met with four roaches scattering over them isn't ideal. We also didn't have our trashcans and the internet wasn't working for a couple of days, but after meeting face-to-face with the front office everything worked out. I wouldn't call them though since nothing progressed through phone calls except with the "I'll call you back later" which never happens. But if you go in person things work out better. I overall like my stay so far, and I know it'll get better once the kinks are worked out.

The pests are all over not only my unit, but also my friends' units who are living in Castle rock, and even with pest control, they don't go.

I've lived here for almost a year and it's pretty good I've never had any issues with the place. The utilities are very affordable I pay like 70 a month. The rent is unmatched especially with their specials. I would like to see the hot tub heated though. The pools are cleaned and maintained. Great staff and great amenities.

Absolutely horrible apartment, had some appliance going out every week. Maintenance doesn’t works weekends, I’ve had my heat, my stove, and my dryer go out so I can’t make food, can’t do my laundry and the temp sucks but they will on lit emergency fix AC/heat if it’s above or below a certain temp. Our heater smells horrible and sets off our fire alarms when we turn it on. When our washer and dryer work it’s BARELY and takes multiple times to wash and dry all the clothing even in smaller loads. Our dishwasher didn’t work for months and had mold, as does every other dishwasher with our friends that live here. Bills aren’t based on how much electricity/water you use. It’s shared amongst the entire complex so bills are always high sometimes as much as $150. The two hot tubs do not work and are always cold, the pools aren’t cleaned and are generally very dirty. Also for some reason the floors are impossible to clean, even swept and mopped, it’s probably paint from sloppy painters that we can’t get up. I hate it here and you probably will too.

It’s a pretty nice place for a good price. I don’t really have any problems other than bad communication between the front office and residents and maintenance taking a while to get back to you about an issue. Other than that, still a pretty good place.
The management is disgusting, rude, retaliatory and down Right unprofessional. The complex is filty and unkept and they will over charge you if they don't like you.
Lovely place, very pet friendly. Has two pools, two basketball courts, a soccer field and a sand volleyball court! Decent pricing and parking!

Apartment charges fees at moveout, sells debt to collector before you know about it, so you cant dispute it. Located next to the jail so crimes a problem as well
