"Covered in fine green fur and seven feet long, with the head of a frog, the face of an elephant, stout legs, a spiky, dinosaur-like back and a long tail …" As far as folklore goes, nobody does it better than Rhinelander. Their legendary beast, the hodag, dates back to the 1890s and was even mentioned in Paul Bunyan stories. It likes to feast on everything from water snakes to oxen, but his favorite meal -- only consumed on Sundays -- are white bulldogs. Residents and visitors can see a statue of the legendary beast at the Visitor's Center.
Aside from the hodag, there's much to love about Rhinelander. It is located along the Wisconsin and Pelican Rivers, with Boom Lake on the north side. Hodag Park sits along the lake and has a boat launch, ball fields, picnic areas, and a playground. Residents can shop the Rhinelander Flea Market, held every Wednesday; the Hodag Farmers' Market, open on Saturdays from May to June; and attend the Hodag Country Festival.

Amazing experience. Everyone was so nice . Fast easy application process was moved in within a week of applying .
I rented there for a year, on top of the staff being very rude and hostile, they constantly made rules for one person but didn't apply them to others residents, they always would say you are breaking lease for some thing but they never do work orders or maintenance like they are suppose to which is "breaking lease" but they take no responsibility, it took them 3 months to fix our bathroom drain. They were suppose to put a screen in the patio door before we moved in and they never did for the entirety of us living there, and then charged us for it being missing, one of the staff made my wife cry by being very hostile towards her. They also completely disregard any medical accommodations that doctors require and had actually thrown the medical notes out in front of me. I am very dissatisfied with the conditions that were there, I honestly hope that more people speak up and they change their ways because it was very upsetting for the both of us.
