Property Ratings at Cedar Ridge Apartments
I lived at Cedar Ridge Apartments between 2003-2016. LOVED living here. There was only 1 time in 13 years, there was a noisy neighbor. The property manager took care of this problem promptly! On site maintenance was very efficient, the location was extremely convenient for me. It was very peaceful. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for an affordable rental. The property manager works with you and meets your needs.
Resided here 11 yrs like it here very much. Very well lighted feel safe. Maintenance is great fix it spot on. Grass kept well mowed looks very nice. Just right size for me to keep up and clean.
Love this place. I lived here about 10 years ago , moved back to southwest Missouri. When I moved back to Jefferson City I came back here . It’s a well kept safe place . I have never had any problems . Love having the large Master bedroom and 1/2 bath. I have no plans of ever moving.
Our family has lived at Cedar Ridge Apartment for almost 9 years, and have never had a problem. The apartments are very nice and spacious. The complex is well maintained both inside and out. The staff and maintenance are always right on top of things. The area is safe and family friendly. We plan on living here for many more years.
I have lived at Cedar Ridge for 15 years. After my divorce and having lived in a house all my life, I was hesitant to move into an apartment with my two teenagers. Teenage years have come and gone and my kids still come "home" to my apartment in Cedar Ridge. The management, owners and maintenance are above no other. Cedar Ridge is my safe haven. I have never experienced one negative moment living here. The on-site manager is quick to help me or answer questions. The leasing process, renewal, etc are handled professionally. What people fail to remember is that this is a federally run housing program--the guidelines are strictly adhered to--for the protection of all. KUDOS to management for running a tight, safe, friendly, clean property! Thanks to maintenance man George for always going above and beyond and a generous "can-do" attitude. I could write for days about my experiences living here. I am beyond blessed with my apartment and strive to keep it tidy, clean and presentable. Thank you to the owners for employing these long term managers. It continues to be a pleasure every single day to know Management takes her job seriously and cares for the property. Her longevity is a testimony to her commitment to us all!
I liked living at these apartments because of the quality of space that you get for the low price but that's where the accolades end. For an income restricted unit, the prices were raised frequently. The lease, when read, leads a tenant to believe that after a years lease is ended the lease will continue on month-to-month. Instead you are left a letter stating that you have 7 days to decide if you are going to stay and if you are you need to return your lease renewal signed. This letter is sent more than a month ahead of when the lease is set to expire and leaves you basically with a crap shoot as to if there will be something available for you to move into after moving out of Cedar Ridge. I discussed this with a neighbor after receiving the lease renewal and she had no idea that it didn't by default continue on month-to-month and also decided to terminate her lease. Very misleading and sketchy wording. The management is very abrasive and I avoided calling for anything. If you don't mind being locked into a lease for years at a time and never have ANY issues so that you can avoid dealing with management, then this is not a bad place for you. If you would like flexibility following a years lease and don't want to worry about feeling like you're bothering someone when you need your apartment serviced, look elsewhere.

We appreciate your feedback, however your information is misleading. Although we have raised the rents due to general expenses, our community still offers some of the lowest rents(utilities included) in the area! We are sorry, month to month leasing is not an option here at Cedar Ridge Apts which is stated during the leasing process, at initial lease signing, and at lease renewal. Lease renewals are given several months ahead of time to start the verification process, we do ask that they are returned promptly so we can get the leases renewed on time! We have part time maintenance on site and request that all maintenance service requests are reported promptly. Our maintenance goals are to get the request taken care of within 2-3 days or less, immediately if it is an emergency. We do have an open door policy for any of our residents to stop by, call, or email with any issues/concerns, service requests, etc. Management is on site to keep this community a safe, clean, enjoyable "home" for all our residents to reside!
I lived at Cedar Ridge Apts when my son was 2 yrs old and we loved it.. Very friendly neighbors and on site landlord is awesome.. Then we moved back to parents for a while.. And we came back to live at Cedar Ridge Apts and the landlord and management worked with me to another apt.. I wouldn’t live anywhere else..
The apartments themselves are very nice. Well taken care of, quiet neighborhood and safe. Management often talks down to tenants even when nothing but respect is given to management. Not a fan of children; apartment can not look “lived in” when they do inspections once a quarter.
