Located just over 12 miles southeast of Seattle, May Creek encompasses a large area from Newcastle towards northern Renton. Nestled between the lowlands of Lake Washington to the west and the Cascade Foothills to the east, May Creek residents are always close to nature. May Creek’s landscape runs the gambit of winding roads that are home to upscale single-family homes and vibrant wetlands home to parks and relatively untouched nature. You’ll also find charming mid-rise apartments nestled into the vibrant surroundings of May Creek. The requisite big-box stores and national chains can be found close to Interstate 405, but there are a few local spots such as breweries and cafes along North 30th and 27th Street. Central Newcastle lies a few miles to the northwest, while Downtown Renton sits about eight miles southwest. Seattle is just a 15-minute drive away as well.

Property Ratings at Lakeview at Newcastle
As a current resident of Lakeview at Newcastle, I’ve found the management to be responsive and professional, always addressing concerns in a timely manner. Parking is generally convenient, with plenty of spaces available most of the time. The community is kept very clean, with well-maintained common areas and prompt trash removal. Safety feels prioritized, with the addition of security cameras and well-lit pathways, though there is no gated access. Overall, it’s a clean, safe, and comfortable place to live, and I’m happy to call it home.

So good to hear from you! Thanks for letting us know. Have a great day!
This place WAS great but now lots of mail and package theft, car jacking at gun point, cars getting broken into, car tires stripped, gas tanks drilled to steal gas… all while the sun is still up! We have asked for cameras numerous times! Confusing and incorrect messages from contractors, property managers and owners. Even their communications includes blaming each other for their disastrous renovations and painting that has now inconvenienced tenants for almost a year.. when they said it will take 2 weeks! What a joke. Rent increases expect up to $400! Also, Newcastle police told us that they suspect it’s due to a big number of the Burien homeless encampment sweep has registered at econolodge and warned us things are only going to get worst! so beware before moving! They are next door to the property. The only good things: Sean our great maintenance support and the complex is close to the freeway.

My wife and I had a great year at Cedar Rim, a pleasant experience until moving out. Cedar Rim had (like many other businesses) had a hard time retaining employees during Covid and had seen significant turnover. Upon moving out, we were working with a gentleman (unnamed, not his fault) who was new and did not explain the move-out process well. We told the apartment numerous times that we would not be resigning a lease, we would be moving. We were told to, on the last day, turn our keys in and submit written notification of a move, which was done via saved text messages. Cedar Rim has decided not to honor the text, stating that there is a specific document required to meet the "written consent" need. Cedar Rim never made us aware of this, only it's parent company two months after moving out when we began being pursued for two months of rent stemming from the two months after we gave written notification and turned in our keys. We now have a large bill sitting with collections and have had issues renting properties. A significant inconvenience to our lives stemming from Cedar Rim's mistake, and written proof of a disinterest in making this right.
