Wilkes-Barre Township is a highly desired Luzerne County community. First settled in the 18th century, Wilkes-Barre was an original township and over time blossomed into a shopper’s paradise with the arrival of retail centers like Arena Hub Plaza and Wyoming Valley Mall.
Commuting is made simple for residents of Wilkes-Barre Township thanks to direct access to Interstate 81. As you’re traveling along Route 303, be on the lookout for the Famous Brown Cow landmark. This peaceful community is home to many parks and green spaces, such as Mountain Park.
Many restaurants surround the shopping centers at the top of the neighborhood. Students attending King’s College will adore Wilkes-Barre Township’s short-term apartments, and meeting up with classmates and friends for beer at Breaker Brewing Company.

Property Ratings at Cedar Village Apts
The management is absolutely terrible, when I started my experience of living here I was quoted with several different prices and handed a handwritten piece of paper. The apartments are damp. Good luck getting your security deposit back as anything can be labeled as a “cleaning fee.”
Really great place. Has a whole lot of charm to it. Everyone is so friendly and inviting, it just makes it feel like a nice community where everyone looks out for each other. Turn around time is fantastic if you need help or to have someone take a look at something, and it is a very pet friendly place. At least half of the residence have pets, and it's nice to see all the tails wagging and cute faces looking through the window. Highly recommend staying here!
Diane the office manger is extremely helpful, and made our entire experience at Cedar Village, very enjoyable. My son was the main resident of the apartment, while he attended college. The community is safe, clean and quiet. The apartment was spacious and in very good condition. I would totally recommend!
I recently moved out of Cedar Village after having lived there for 5 consecutive years. I had a great time living in Cedar Village and rarely if ever had any issues with the apartment. The community is welcoming and safe and Diane is an amazing landlord. She is always available and if you ever call her with an issue it is taken care of IMMEDIATELY. I have zero complaints about my time there and I couldn't recommend Cedar Village more highly to anyone looking for affordable housing in Wilkes-Barre.
I haven't moved in several years, and Diane has treated me like family and is prepping a 960 square foot townhouse. I have no doubt it will be perfect. Reverend Robert Basile
Being in the Property Rental Business a very long time, I did read the reviews posted. After reading the negative/positive reviews, I am one who certainly realized, in the rental community, their are times that regardless of how carefully one interviews future tenants, short of a brain scan, one never knows. Their are people in this world that one can never please, and really will complain over and over. After the meeting with Diane, ˆ realized after numerous questions I presented, that she was a four star rental agent/manager.! I moved in about two years ago. I read what the units contained, what they did not. The services, garbage, pets, etc. Everything was as presented. Not only did I realize the value of a superior rental/manager but I then had the pleasure of then meeting Rob. It seems I had a little problem. Rob, I wish was around when we had our community. To find a guy like Rob is very difficult! Respectful, his talents to do anything in the community is an understatement. Both Diane and Ron are two of the hardest working people that make up this wonderful community. People are friendly, but not OVER friendly. I did not move here expecting a fan club! It is not a community of loud, overbearing people. It is a wonderful, safe place that I call HOME!!!!!!MR
Can I just say that it's a great place to live. If you follow the rules in place and pay your rent, and on time, you won't have a problem. No issues with staff as it has changed with maintenance and they've been prompt when needed. Diane does not have things done on her unit first. As a matter of fact, lucky if she gets hers done at all. She is always available and in the office if you need her. Wilkes-Barre Twp. is close to all shopping areas and quiet! Don't believe everything you read, come see for yourselves! I wasn't promised stainless steel appliances and the units are updated. Here 8 years!
I love the apartment !! 4 years and I still love being here,I love the cleanliness, peaceful locality and very serene surroundings, Diane is extremely helpful, diligent, and very co operative. I have never had any challenges in any maintenance related activities ! --Preeti
this is a good place to live for any age group you have two different shopping plazas within minutes of you. The 81 interstate is right there also so for commuters this is great. There is a pool for residents and a fitness center. There is a assigned parking spot for each apartment and visitors parking is clearly labeled which makes it easy for friends and family visits. The grounds are well manicured, trees , and landscaping is taken care of on a regular basis. Getting in touch with management hasn't been a hassle either. All in all not bad place to live trust me
