Property Ratings at Cedars of Edina Apartments
I lived at Cedars of Edina Apartments for over seven years, and my experience was quite disappointing. The apartments are old and poorly maintained, with frequent issues like kitchen sinks getting drained water from upper floors. The entire building has a persistent bad odor and is not cleaned properly. They only maintain the garden in front for show, while the back buildings are neglected.Roof paint particles drop whenever someone walks on the floor above, creating an unhealthy environment. The noise levels are very high; you can hear sounds from neighbors in your bedroom and living area. There are also issues with bugs and spiders, which adds to the unpleasant living conditions. Dog owners often do not clean up after their pets, leading to hygiene issues. Many residents, including my family, fell sick repeatedly due to the poor ventilation. The sauna and pool are often occupied by the apartment's own employees, making it difficult for residents to use these amenities.Upon moving out, I was charged heavily for various reasons. They deducted my entire security deposit and charged me extra. It seems they will find any reason to charge you, so beware. I regret not moving out sooner and urge potential renters to reconsider before moving into Cedars of Edina Apartments. The living conditions and management practices do not justify the cost.
My apartment is just the right size for me, it offers beautiful views of the gardens, fountain, and a wonderful old majestic maple tree. When the sun shimmers through the branches, it sparkles onto my balcony and into my home. The grounds have winding paths through birch and pine trees, with the sounds of a small waterfall in the background. It's my enchanted forest and garden hidden away, my slice of paradise. I love my apartment/home. Thanks, Heidi
My apartment is a small place, perfect for myself, very comfortable and cozy, it is in a great location, close to work and everywhere else. The amenities are handy when I want to use them, I appreciate the fact they always clean and available for me to use. The public transportation is across the street and there are restaurants, shops and movie theaters walk distance, there are also biking trails very close and beautiful parks.

We are so excited that you are enjoying your apartment and that is 100% how we want our residents to feel about where they live! Thank you for being a great contribution to our community!
This is the perfect place to live who love peace. I love peace and found where i live. The owner, staffs at rental office and maintenance people are really nice and helpful. The place where i live and around is very clean. They have nice gym, swimming pool(indoor and outdoor both),tennis court, yoga room, business center etc. Over all they have good facilities. Everything is near by in a walking distance.
The rent here is huge. I pay $1240. for a 1 BR with Underground Garage stall including pet rent. I have 2 dogs @ $40 per month. I signed onto a promotion and got the garage stall tied to my lease at a discounted rate of $50. (Normally $65.) The amenities are super nice (2 pools & hot tubs, plus a sauna, tennis courts great landscaping and the usual workout room/party room/yoga room). The staff are very professional and courteous. All in all, a nice place to live-if you can afford the rent.

I am living here on rent for past one month. I would say its a great place to live. It has got huge swimming pool both outdoor and indoors. Gym is well equipped and mostly empty. Staff is very cordial and soft spoken. Daily errands are walkable. Very close to target and other stores.

Thank you so much for choosing Cedars of Edina! Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to help make your stay here more enjoyable.
I found the apartment because it is close to my work. I decided to choose it because of the location, workout space, price, and attractiveness. The landscaping and upkeep keeps the place looking tip-top, even though the buildings are actually pretty old. I live in a studio and the space is functional. However, the appliances make noise, which can be bothersome at times. Overall, I can really appreciate the pools, workout rooms (including a yoga room), and added gathering spaces being a young adult (23). I would recommend this apartment to my friends.

Me and my wife have stayed at the Cedars of Edina for a month and a half now. I took up a sub lease from another person since I wasn't sure for how long I would stay in this city. The staff at Cedars of Edina have made our leasing experience very pleasant. I give a 5* rating to this apartment community for the below mentioned reasons. => I have stayed in 12 different apartment communities over the past 8 years in the states NY, NJ, NC, VA, MD, DC and GA and no where have I found such a beautifully maintained community. Its not just the beauty of the place but the staff at Cedars of Edina have been nothing but always helpful and prompt. => The facility: there are two beautifully maintained pools here, one outdoor and one indoor. They are always kept clean, there is a sauna and a whirlpool too which are awesome. There are two rooms dedicate for workouts and physical activity and they both are of a really good size and equipment maintained in great condition. The Cardio room has 4 Treadmills, 8 ellipticals, 4 cycling machines all in great condition and with entertainment consoles. This cardio room overlooks the outdoor pool and has a great view with all glass wall facing the pool. The view is just great. Right below this room is another room with same size, it has all the weights, chest, legs, Bi's tri's and all kinds of equipment which any great gym outside would have. => Me and my wife used to spent 80-90$ per month combined on fitness centers. Each of the 12 apartments i stayed previously had fitness centers but none come close to what i have seen at Cedars. Either they were really small with very few equipment and cardio machines or they were improperly maintained, so we always ended up going to a fitness center outside the apartment community. Staying at cedars we didnt need to, coz all myself and my wife wanted are right here. I forgot to mention, the swimming pool isn't shallow either, it starts at 3ft and ends at 9ft and it is a really big pool. => The community is a smoke free community, i hated it at first coz i like the luxury of smoking in my balcony but eventually I got used to it. You need to walk outside the community to smoke a cigarette but if you really see how beautiful this place is you would understand the reason yourself.

Bhanu, truly thank you! We could not ask for better feedback and we are lucky to have residents like you. If there is anything we can do to help make your stay here more enjoyable definitely do not hesitate to ask!
Beautiful "back yard" place with rocks, fountains and playing areas. Excellent amenities though they charge you for booking/using club room for parties. We were living in a upgraded apartment so that was good. I feel REALY safe and I spend hours sitting outside during the summer without worry. Even though the rent is slightly expensive for us. I wont exchange anywhere else. Shopping , shops all near. Bus passes right INFRONT of the apartments. The neighbahood is realy nice and the people are also incredibly welcoming.
Cedars of Edina is a great place to live if you have small dogs. The complex that allows dogs is separate from the other buildings so you don't have to worry about Non-dog people. They have a large grass area to walk or hang out with your dogs. They are also right across the street from Centennial Lakes, which is also a great place to walk your dog. There are some 1st floor walk out apartments that are wonderful to let your dog out quick or sit outside and enjoy the day with them. There is also lots of friendly fellow dog lovers around. The reason I only give them 3 out of 5 stars is that they are older buildings so you hear everything. The air conditioning isn't the greatest either. They have forced air heat so you never have to worry about turn up the heat cause it's always warm in your apartment, ALWAYS. But if you love your fur babies and want a very friendly dog place to live this is it!!
It's so quiet and clean neighborhood. The people are friendly around this area. The maintance people are always there to help. Very secured and safe environment. I enjoy everyday living in cedars of edina apartments. I wish to win rent for life so I wouldn't leave from here n stay forever in cedars of edina apartments
Pros: 1. The grounds are nice and landscaping is beautiful. There are amenities like a pool, sauna, tennis courts and gym. If you do not use a pool, gym or yoga room you are wasting your money. 2. Water and heat are included, but not electricity. 3. There is no smoking on the grounds, that's good. But now people line up on Gallagher Dr. and smoke all day, and after bar time at 2 AM. 4. Location is good Cons: 1. They do not enforce their own rules, like kids running in the halls and people opening their apartment doors and ventilating their pungent cooking odors and smoke into the halls. Your apartment will acquire these smells. 2. I wanted a place that was quite, and the rental agent said these were quite apartments. They lied. There are kids everywhere and when it is raining or cold, remember this is Minnesota, parents let the kids run and play in the hallways. This happens frequently and you get to enjoy them running and yelling. 3. In an old building you get to share a laundry room. If you like washing your clothes after other people have washed their dirty work clothes and children's diapers then you are in luck. 4. These are old buildings with old building problems. They tell you between the floors there are 6-10 inches of concrete, implying that it is quite and you do not hear your upstairs neighbors. This is wrong because a solid floor enhances the sound. 5. Security looks good with screens and cameras in the clubhouse and office. But nobody live in the clubhouse and office. The other cameras around the grounds do not seem to work, or maybe they would catch the kids running, the people smoking on grounds and vandals.
Cedars is a great spot to live. It is right in the middle of everything in the Twin Cities and offers plenty amenities. The staff is friendly and helpful and the maintain the buildings and grounds very well. There are only two reason for the 4 star rating. One is because I wish all the units were upgraded with new appliances. The unit we have has an out dated fridge, oven and dishwasher. It would be nice to have stainless steel like others since rent is about equal! The other reason is they don't have much room for your dogs outside the dog building. Other than that, I love these apartments!
I live in a nice apartment complex . Cedars of Edina are the best , quiet living and so many things to do in that area .
Cedars of Edina is a serene and peaceful getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life in the metro area. The apartments themselves are very nice and exactly as they were pictured on their website (something I have found to be unusual while apartment hunting). Its amenities and community grounds are second to none! The landscaping around the walking trails is beautiful and well looked after by the grounds crew. Same goes for the beautiful pool area and tennis courts. There are many quiet areas on the grounds to sit and relax, including a turtle pond with a waterfall! The two level cardio and weight room has replaced my gym membership. I have honestly never been so satisfied with an apartment fitness center. It is always clean, never too busy, and has huge windows looking out onto the beautiful grounds. On top of all the more common apartment amenities, Cedars also offers a yoga/meditation room with free yoga classes every morning! It is close to everything I could possibly need. It's within walking distance from a variety of restaurants, multiple grocery stores, a movie theater, hospitals and clinics, and shopping malls. It's just two blocks away from Centennial Lakes Park - which offers walking trails, putting greens, croquet, paddle boats, and other fun activities. All of the management personnel I have dealt with have been nothing but friendly, kind, and helpful. My ONLY complaint about this otherwise wonderful place to live is the noise level in the apartments. The buildings are older, so the soundproofing isn't as great as you would find in a newer complex. The transfer through apartment walls isn't too bad (I only hear if the neighbor kids cry/scream), but if someone is in the hallway, they might as well be in your apartment! Fortunately this is just an occasional bother and not anywhere near bad enough to make me want to move. Otherwise I love it here and would recommend it to just about anyone!
First, this is a beautiful complex with very nice apartments in a very sought after location. For that, I like this place. BUT! Once you move in, all that stuff you once loved about it fades away when people let their children run and scream down the hallways all day and night, even when you politely tell them to keep it down. Yeah, that doesn't work. Even the office didn't help. They tried to get us to move to a different unit and PAY ANOTHER SECURITY DEPOSIT! They never once told our neighbors to quiet down. (They said they did but we never saw any change whatsoever even when we had to keep complaining about it. And I really don't like being THAT person, but when my sleep deprivation was affecting my work I had to do something.) I have barely slept since I moved in here and I seriously regret moving here. It is such a pity because it's such a nice place. But the noise, the rude neighbors, and incompetent management are not worth it. (There are a few good eggs in the office but the management is what is lacking. They don't care. They just want to make everything look nice.)
