Property Ratings at Cedarwood Apartments
Avoid moving here unless it’s an absolute last resort. Property manager is extremely loud & unprofessional, and she’ll Try to evict you for some random reason. Something is always broken & things are never fixed properly & in a timely manner. There is always something shady (i.e. drug deals) going on at this complex which staff appear to be involved in. The only “good” thing is the cheap rent & it being “pet friendly” (which is a Term I use loosely).
Dear reader, whatever your reason is for finding an apartment, I advise that you take the advice of this post and the others posted previously, and do not even begin to consider moving here. My partner and I made the mistake of attempting to rent an apartment at this complex. Everything went well at first. We paid all required fees, and were simply waiting for our apartment to become available due to the tenants being moved to a different apartment. The property manager instructed us to call her on a specific day after 3 P.M., then texted us stating that she would "hunt us down" when she had information available. After calling as per instructed, the property manager proceeded to intentionally send me to voicemail. After contacting the owner of the complex, the property manager called me back stating that she was officially refusing to lease to me for "going over her head" by talking to her boss due to her utter refusal to communicate with us, and because we "called her too much" asking about the status of our apartment's availability. I highly advise anyone reading this review to search for other apartments in the Hattiesburg area; they may be more expensive, but at least you will get the respect, decency, and common courtesy that you expect from a property manager.
Do not move here unless it is literally your absolute last resort. She showed us the most clean and nicest unit but we got put in a disgusting broken down unit. Most unprofessional landlord i could imagine. When we had repair needs and we would communicate over text (the only way to contact her because she told us to not knock on her door and not to expect anything from her before noon) we would have to remind her multiple times (over a period of weeks) it would take forever to get fixed. Extremely rude and makes everything your fault. Does not treat lawn for fleas. Only plus is a very low deposit and no pet deposit or fee.
The landlord is on drugs and she is very rude to her tenants we moved out in June and it here it is 2 months a later and we still haven't gotten our security deposit she is unprofessional and always high . I called to make an inquiry about my deposit but she had blocked me and when I called to ask why she said my apartment wasn't clean I clean that apartment from top to bottom it was spotless when we moved out better than it was when we moved in cause it was really dirty when I moved in the stove was not clean the refrigerator it was still dishes in the the dish washer the tub was black I don't advise no one to move here please save your money and go else where
The landlord is on drugs she a rip off I have been waiting on my deposit back for a week after she refused me my place after my deposit was paid u do not want to move here
