Property Ratings at Centennial Apartments
Not only did the landlords make living their feel unsafe, these apartments are DISGUSTING and have bad air quality. They also only updated half of the apartments while left the others alone and still priced them the same as the newer models. Thank god I did no renew.
I have lived in this small apartment complex on two separate occasions and in two different apartments. The Centennial is livable affordable and quiet but there is a desperate need for an update. The landlord, his staff and family are all very approachable and understand people. They are almost always available and around the property quite often. The parking lot can be a nightmare at times, very tight parking and not enough spaces. The wintertime is difficult to find parking and moving your vehicle for the lot to be plowed is a pain. The decks on the apartments facing the parking lot are dilapidated and feel quite unsturdy in areas. And the communal deck that is available has warped boards the stick up and if you aren't careful can trip you. However, they did recently add a grill and a few benches to the communal deck to make it a nice area for a cook out. The tenants are overall quiet and kept to themselves. However when crossing paths with a neighbor they are usually polite and friendly. Now for the apartments themselves. Although the price has increased over the years it really is an affordable place in decent condition. It is extremely apparent, however, that from the moment you walk in the door that the appliances, cabinetry, and overall interior is stuck in a time warp. Fridges are old and use a lot of power, stove is small, toilet is extremely basic design (public restroom exposed plunger style), claw foot tub and sorry excuse for a shower. Hear is forced through the radiators and you have no control over the temperature. Often times not very regular either one extreme or the other. The electric is old and you can't have too many appliances going at the same time (ie: the fridge and a microwave)or you will blow a circuit and have to go in the creepy basement to flip the breaker. More recently I have had issues with the ceiling leaking from the roof through the apartment above me. The building was also recently damaged by a fire and constant construction is going on during the weekdays. Overall, they definitely can use some work, a good remodel but for the time being are affordable and livable.
