Separated from Eugene and the University of Oregon by the Willamette River and I-5, Springfield is a terrific city with wooded neighborhoods, mountain views, amazing outdoor adventures -- and yes, it is that Springfield. Matt Groening is an Oregon native, after all, and he based his fictional town of "Springfield" in the animated Simpsons series after Springfield, Oregon. The city even offers an unofficial Simpsons tour of Springfield, and some of the similarities are uncanny. For example, there really is a stylized horse statue at the entrance to the city, and Max's Tavern is claimed to have inspired the show's Moe's Tavern -- it is eerily similar. Max's opened in 1932, and it is rumored that Groening spent his college years in the tavern, sketching.
And while you won't be able to head out of your Springfield apartment to enjoy a Duff's beer, you will find a Moe's Tavern, and the city is known for its craft beer. It is also known for its outdoor adventures.

Great open space and a quiet community. Nice and roomy. So far only been there for a few day and it has been peaceful. Can’t wait to experience more of the community.

I have been pleased during my 3 years living here, I would have given another star however the security gate that used to work on Prescott never got fixed. The staff has always been polite and attentive. I enjoy living here because of my proximity to work. My only hope is that there is not another rent increase this year.

It's been a pleasure to begin my residency with Centennial apartments. I moved from the East Coast and had my apartment ready before I arrived.

Thank you for your review and welcome to Centennial :)
There hasn't been anyone available in the front office for a long time. It's nearly impossible to reach anyone by phone or email. Personally I haven't had instances where I can say I was treated with any kind of respect except with Maintenance. My experience has been that management is not at all interested in working with you as a resident. It actually seems like the opposite. Instead of being willing to work with me as a tenant to resolve issues it feels like they have gone out of their way to make it extremely difficult/uncomfortable if not impossible to continue to live there.

Absolutely love it here! I most friendly neighbors and maintenance is on top of things. Amenities are awesome. I’m in a 2 bed 1 bath unit with washer/dryer which helps make doing laundry so much easier.

It has gotten very pricey over the years. Base rent used to include a flat rate for water, trash, and cable TV. There used to be working gates and secure fencing that was closed to uninvited people at night. I have little hope for the mending of these things I knew and loved years ago, but there are plenty of reasons I continue to stay. Maintenance has been amazing, internet is included, even though the fence is partly broken, it does add privacy next to the busier road, the location is ideal for me, I get a beautiful pool during the summer, there are fun community activities (st. Pats day gold hunt, bingo, Easter egg hunt, ect) and the staff has been outstanding with communication.

Maintenance could respond better to repair requests. But other than that mostly everything else has been fine. Decent area close to a lot of things

We appreciate your feedback and are sorry to hear about your experience with our maintenance response time. We strive to provide efficient service and will certainly look into improving this aspect. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
Mostly I love living here. I feel safe. Only thing that I would suggest, is, create a designated smoking area. Right now we go to the street. During the day light, it's mostly fine. At night it can be very scary. Night time will be coming around 5pm soon. If I can suggest, the far southwest corner of the property would be plenty far away from people's apartments. There's a designated pet area with bags provided, most people around here don't seem to use. I think a smoking area would be fair. I don't smoke alot, but back in the corner, I would feel safer.
Pros the neighbors are great and pleasant to live by. The cons are the apartment people never clean the stairs from bugs and spider webs, for the amount you pay in rent that should be taken care of.

I would like to see ?? a community garden ?? maybe a container/raised beds garden in place of the tennis ?? courts ?? other than that I like the people l come in contact with and the little community.

The apartments are great. This complex is quiet and the grounds are kept well. It is also great that they accept animals. My kids love the pool.

Apartments are nice and quite, management has solved all the issues that had come up in the past and or present. Maintenance guys are super nice and talkative
Maintenance is not done professionally. More of a mess when they leave, than when they started. Multiple trips to fix the issue. Substandard equipment replacement to save money. Even though costs continue to go up. Was told by maintenance men that management doing all they can to raise prices. Since rent control instituted. They have just charged in different ways to make up the difference.
Living at these apartments is ok, however the road noise is hard to get use to. There is no air conditioning and the way they have the windows setup, doesn't allow to much air flow.
Good quiet neighbors, complex employee maintenance is great, facilities are well attended to. I wish we had a heated pool open more months.
It’s a lovely property, my apartment is comfortable, maintenance has been efficient, and the manager is great about answering any questions I’ve had. The pool isn’t open enough, but it’s a nice pool when it is open.
The neighborhood we are in is not a terrible neighborhood. Close to many things. Apartment complex is a fairly quiet area. Have had no problems
I like the property, the area/neighborhood is nice. The apartments seem to be maintained well. The only problem is the laundry room. I swear everytime I try to do laundry half the machines are broken and I have to just go to a laundromat. My rent is going up $100 while they can't even keep the washers and dryers going for us, it's a bit disappointing.
Pros: - It is very quiet. I never hear anything from my neighbors' units unless something physically hits the wall. - Parts of the apartment look nice. The cabinets, countertops, flooring, cabinets, and light fixtures were all recently refurbished, so they all look great. - The maintenance staff seems very nice. They usually take a few days to respond to requests, but they are very helpful once they show up. Cons: - My unit was not in great condition when I moved in. Despite some aspects being recently updated (as described above), others were not in good shape. The floor of the tub is in disrepair and the walls and doors are disgusting. It seems like they tried to "clean" the walls by just paining over the gunk that was on them, but they didn't do a very good job. You can see hairs stuck in the paint all over the walls. - There is no air conditioning. Even worse, if you want to install your own AC unit, you are required to put in a request for the maintenance team to do it for you (which costs $50), and you can only have it installed between September and May. - The climate control system is horrendous. It works by heating the ceiling so the heat radiates downward, which means you get extra, unwanted heat from the downstairs unit if you live upstairs. Also, the temperature that the thermostat is set to is not remotely the temperature it actually heats the apartment to. In my experience, it usually gets 5-15 degrees hotter than what you set it to. - Outside areas are always dirty. I think they clean the sidewalks, but other common areas like stairs are never touched. There is a giant spider web on the staircase by my unit that's been growing for months. - There is a central laundry room that everyone shares, which means you might have to fight for a machine. It costs $2 for a wash and dry, but only if you pay for both consecutively with a card. If you pay with quarters, it's $3.25.
These apartments have no AC they are outdated with old appliances and small cramped bathroom. Horrible parking lot and pavement. No washer and dryer in unit, cost $3.25 PER LOAD. Mismanagement and changes in ownership have ruined this once nice community. Rent is increased annually by 6-10% with no benefits or improvement to unit. Lack of follow up with property and unit concerns/complaints. Other tenants continue to smoke on property even though property is non-smoking, lack of response from management/property owner.
