Considerably quieter than Las Vegas proper, North Las Vegas is a large, mostly suburban community that serves as home base for many of the region’s professionals. With Nellis Air Force Base right next door, North Las Vegas is the hometown for numerous armed service members and civilian military employees. Las Vegas Motor Speedway regularly hosts NASCAR and other auto races on the east side of town.
Craig Ranch Regional Park at the center of town is a popular spot for folks to stretch their legs and enjoy the scenic views of the city, with the mountains and The Strip on the horizon; it’s also home to a gigantic skate park and a major community sports complex. For weekend excursions into the rugged natural surroundings, Red Rock Canyon is under thirty minutes away and Lake Mead can be reached in about an hour.

Property Ratings at Centennial at 5th Apartments
I have lived here a mere 3 months and I am compelled to express my profound dissatisfaction with this apartment complex. My girlfriend's car was recently stolen, marking the second such incident in just four months of residency. The lack of effective management and response to this alarming trend is deeply troubling. Despite numerous reviews highlighting over 25 break-ins over the past eight years, management has failed to implement any meaningful changes, such as installing security cameras or repairing the broken gate. Disturbingly, management acknowledges that there have been 30-40 car break-ins in the last five years, yet no action has been taken to enhance security measures. Moreover, it is disheartening to learn from local police that there are multiple calls regarding break-ins each night. When residents express a desire to leave this unsafe environment, they are met with a staggering $3,000 break lease fee, on top of one month's rent, a tactic that appears to trap tenants in this untenable situation. This is an unacceptable place to live, and I am eager to vacate the premises. I intend to consult with my attorney regarding the break lease fee, and I sincerely hope that Eric, the manager, takes note of this feedback. His neglect in addressing security concerns, such as failing to retrieve camera footage for police investigation, only underscores the inadequacy of management in safeguarding residents and their property
Do not let the exterior and surrounding area fool you. Absolutely dumpster fire of problems inside this complex. Useless management too.

Hi there, thank you for this review of your experience. We're very sorry to hear that you have had so many grievances and we would love the opportunity to talk through your concerns. We urge you to contact the management office so we can take steps to address the issues you've detailed and make things right. We look forward to our conversation! - Centennial Team
For the price they charge you, this complex is so poorly kept. The dryer is completely useless and I had endless issues with my bathtub not draining properly. Also was charged for parking in a spot that I guess they had a maintenance truck parked at for doing work (they never told us about the fee) and so I park there because it’s available and I come to find they charged me a fee because of it… If you have absolutely no place else to go, I’d guess maybe biting the bullet but I’d recommend literally anywhere else before this “luxury” dump.

Hi there, thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We do care about our residents and would like to know how we can rectify the situation. We would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have. Please feel free to reach out to us at your earliest convenience at 702-399-9055. Thank you - The Centennial Team
The office staff treats you like an inconvenience anytime you talk to them. They tell you one thing and then when you go back they tell you something completely different! They will try and suck as much money out of you as the possible can. Their maintenance staff is a joke, there is always trash around and we lived here for 2 years and only got our A/C filter changed the month before we moved out because my husband spoke Spanish. If you made the mistake like we did of renting here just be concerned for your safety, there has been break ins and car vandalism. They only email you about it weeks after it happens and there is no security here that we've seen and the gates are constantly broken. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else!
I cannot absolutely wait until the end of my lease expires. Management is incompetent and clueless all they will offer is an insincere apology and forced empathy. The complex has bugs, the pools are never clean, the outdoor grills never work. None of the amenities are kept up and forget about the gym that you have to pay access for. If you have a lower level unit expect to hear everything your upstairs neighbor does as the walls are thin. Being a non smoking community there is no enforcement of this rule. Multiple car break ins and little concern for your vehicle. Not worth the price you pay!

We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback, but are disappointed you had an experience reflecting anything short of 5-stars. I would love to talk to you about your experience but your information does not appear in our system. We take our resident and guest’s concerns very seriously and encourage you to contact our Community Manager at centennialmgr@nals.com, or 702-399-9055 to discuss how we can help rectify the situation. We hope to hear from you soon. – The Team at Centennial at 5th
By far the worst customer service I have ever experienced! The management does not have your best interest at heart and do not look out for you. They repeatedly say how they pride themselves on customer satisfaction, what a huge lie and a joke! All they care about is money. I am currently having to go through the tenants union since the manager refuses to acknowledge a problem they caused. I will not be renewing my contract and trying to get out of my current one early. DO NOT MOVE HERE IT IS NOT WORTH YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY!!
You would expect a representative to jump up and attack any matters that you have as a tenant but I have had the complete opposite experience. The staff is quick to sign you up for an apartment and have you sign the 20 page lease but when it comes to management responsibilities, it is not balanced. The apartments are next to two busy roads so if you like hearing people speed off the light with a loud exhaust or even the squealing brakes to a semi-truck, then this is your spot. I will say, it's not far from shopping malls and the location is not too bad. It's just sad that the service I have received so far has been very unsatisfactory and if i could opt out of my lease and move to another location, I would in the snap of a finger even if i had to pay more. This apartment complex does not deserve the amount of rent that is being asked for. Find a better place.

I am so sorry to hear about your experience at Centennial at 5th. This is not the level of service we aim to provide. Our main focus is customer service and I want to apologize for any time we fell short. I appreciate your candid feedback as means to improve our services. When possible, could you please contact me at centennialmgr@nals.com or 702-399-9055? I would love the opportunity to discuss this in more detail and improve your experience. Sincerely, Janice B., Community Manager
This is the least favorite apartment complex of the three I lived in. Management was terrible my first year, including unethical tactics in an attempt to corner me into a renewal I didn't want. Things improved a little with new management, but after two years of being a good resident I was still forced to leave due to an insanely large and unjustified rent increase ($114 a month more!). After moving out I now owe money due to basic wear-and-tear after living two years in the same apartment. I'm really disappointed in this place, and would tell you to keeping searching if you're looking to live in North Las Vegas.

We complied with the apartment with having to get rid of our dog (she got into a fight with another dog on the premises) and now they're giving us an eviction notice although we complied. Also, the apartment is okay but not worth what the rent is.

The safety of our community and residents are important and we take incidents like this very seriously. I did try to contact you last week to discuss and follow up. Please don't hesitate to call me at 702-399-9055 or email centennialmgr@nals.com if you would like to discuss further. Sincerely - Lisa Z./Community Manager
When you think about choosing an apartment there is more to it than just price. You have to consider service when you need it. I had an Electrical problem in my apartment that was causing the breaker to trip even after I would reset it. I sent the manager an email and within an hour or so I received a reply that said they would send maintenance immediately. Unfortunately I was at work, but surprisingly they worked around my schedule and told me they could have someone there when I get home from work. He showed up on time!!! He had figured out the problem in what seems like record time!!! Assured me that he would solve the problem before leaving and genuinely cared about me and my problem. Even thaught me a little about electrical systems in the process and made my experience amazing!!!!

We are always here to help, if you ever need anything we will do our best to provide the same level of service you just experienced. Have a super rest of your day, The Team at Centennial
I will always check to ensure that the reviews for this location are accurate. This location was the WORST place I have EVER had the displeasure of dealing with. When moving in, staff was accommodating and respectful, a month later, staff turned over and new management came in like tyrants with hidden fees, closed/dirty pools, disgusting dog poop and trash everyone, and the company NEVER mentioned it is down the street from a pig farm, which smells atrocious when the wind blows. They have no box to leave complaints or letters, and will charge you for breathing on the premises (that's the only hyperbole in my post). I woul never, ever recommend this location or any of their parent comapnies (NAALS) to anyone. Beware: you have been warned.
Property Manager at Centennial at 5th Apartments, Responded To This Review
We always appreciate any feedback even from past residents. The pig farm has been closed for about a year and we recently implemented the Dog DNA program here at Centennial to prevent any improper disposal of pet waste. The program has been a great success and I'm sorry I wasn't here at the time of your residency to help address these concerns for you. I am confident that the issues you experienced have been addressed and improved greatly. Sincerely- Lisa Z. / Community Manager
I moved in one month ago and have had wonderful customer service since doing so. Carla at the front was kind enough to help me move in a few days earlier than planned, which really helped me out. And all of the other staff has also been very friendly and helpful. The maintenance requests I have submitted have been addressed by the next business day. The facilities are clean and well maintained and the complex feels safe in addition to having 24/7 security.
Property Manager at Centennial at 5th Apartments, Responded To This Review
Thank you so much for the great review! We are so happy to have you here at Centennial! We are excited to share your generous feedback with our entire team, they work incredibly hard to ensure the best experience possible for our residents, so your review will truly means so much. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to improve your experience. Have a great week. Sincerely, The Team at Centennial
This complex was by far my worst experience. I was hit with hidden fees, practically nervous everyday because they will tow your car if you park in a space where there is leaked oil (even though mine didn't). The manager of the complex was always rude and disrespectful she would hit you with a fine with no warning whatsoever. The whole reason I had moved in because the lady that helped me with the whole move-in was really nice and welcoming but she was gone after a month of me living there. The pools are always closed for some reason which I believe that the manager keeps closed because someone upsets her. Out of the whole time I lived here for the past year I've seen it open twice. One of the best up-sides though is that Buffalo Wild Wings is right across the street which is great. I will be so happy and relieved when I move out.
What we first liked about this apartment was the color scheme, very nice colors were chosen, which give it an air of elegance. It doesn't have the typical boring beige as so many other apartment complexes here in Las Vegas. The prices are honestly amazing! The amenities are quite nice & every time I use the gym, it has never been full of people probably because it is open 24/7, which is great! The whole complex seems very clean since it is maintained regularly. Any maintenance issues are handled quite promptly and they are very cordial & respectful. There are several layouts to choose from which is nice. The people handling the main office are very professional & helpful, although there might be waiting time since it appears they are short-handed on staff. But this doesn't happen regularly. The rooms are quite spacious, even the bathroom. The bedrooms come with several built in shelves besides the closet which are very elegant and useful. The appliances work great and they are not all white but a beautiful silver & black. The apartments are a must see! They have been the best looking I have seen in all my years living in Las Vegas it this price range. There is sufficient parking although they don't use designated parking spaces. At times it might be difficult to find parking space at nights & weekends close to the buildings. But if you don't mind walking some distance, there would be no problem. The entry code machine hasn't been working the time being here. You do have a gate opener, although only one is designated to the apartment. So any additional cars might have to wait by the gate a few minutes, although the gate does open very often. Other than that, we do recommend this apartment complex if you don't mind a couple of hiccups, but for the price range, it is well worth it.
This apartment is in a wonderful location, it is located near shopping, restaurants and close to either the 15 or 215 Freeway which allows easy access. They have 3 amazing pools in this complex and the fitness room is state of the art equipment but could be bigger for size of the apartment complex. The staff is very friendly and the upcoming on the outside of the complex is very well taken care of. Overall the complex feels very safe with security staff they have onsite. Check it out you will fall in love with everything about this apartment.
