Joliet is a large suburban city located about 45 miles southwest of the Chicago Loop. Spanning the Des Plains River, the city’s thriving Downtown district on the east bank is home to many of the community’s most popular attractions, including the Harrah’s casino and entertainment complex, the historic Rialto Square Theatre, and countless bars and restaurants. This area is also where you’ll find Slammers Stadium, home of the Joliet Slammers baseball team.
As one of the biggest cities in Illinois, the rental market in Joliet is enormous, with a diverse selection of options ranging from budget-friendly studio apartments to more upscale suburban single-family homes. While Joliet hosts its own diverse local economy, the city’s affordable rental options and easy access to Chicago via road or Amtrak service has made it a popular choice for commuters as well.

Property Ratings at Rock Run Residences
Everyone looks at reviews with the mindset of giving this place the benefit of the doubt but this is not the case. THIS IS NOT STUDENT HOUSING!! They don’t care about student life. What they offer( which isn’t much) is not worth your money. Joliet Junior College should not even advertise the commons in their school. DONT BE FOOLED BY THE MODEL ROOM.
I have lived here for 3 years, while attending JJC. I lived in a two bedroom. My stay is coming to an end, I TRUFULLY LOVED my time here! My parents and I were a little iffy on living here because of the reviews but decided to take our chances anyway, one of the best choices ever made. My roommate as well as myself were pleased with the unit, minor issues that were taking care of at a reasonable time. Whenever, I needed to speak with management about an issue they were available to speak with me. I would recommend this place to any first time college students that are planning to take their schooling seriously. This is STUDENT HOUSING!! I was fully aware of the rules that were put in place for the residents safety! I would do it all over again!
It's worth it. I lived here for two years while going to JJC. It's right on campus and I felt safe. I read all of the reviews that management is money hungry, but you have to pay to live there. It's not free. The office was always nice to me when I was in there. I had a two bedroom and it was nice. Not really big but it was fine while i was going here. Make sure you get the two bedroom though otherwise you stay with more people and can be a headache.
I urge all students and parents to avoid living in Centennial Commons. It is NOT affiliated with JJC. Filthy. Poorly Managed. High crime rate. PLEASE consider any other living arrangement.
This is the worse apartment to ever live in. Do not do it.
This is a great looking apartment building that's in a good price and a nice city!
