Property Ratings at Center Grove Village
I am moving back to CGV and must say, the apts are redone & are beautiful! Scott is the BEST rental specialist I ever met! He’s thorough, knowledgeable & extremely patient during the rental process! ??
I have been living here for about 4 years now and have to say the staff has been excellent and very professional. I have never had a problem they could not take care of in a timely fashion. I recently had the opportunity to meet our communities new rental agent Scott and he is a very pleasant and professional. Last winter the snow removal was excellent and never had a time the lots were not plowed or sidewalks not shoveled. Recently I read a bad review of the pool form another resident and found out the management company was in fact actively looking to hire for the second lifeguard position but could not find someone. As far as other things go there are major renovations going on to the outside of the property like new porches with nice blue stone treads and paver stone tops.Next up I heard they are starting to replace the shutters and outside doors. All in all I think this is a great place to live.

That is correct, we have lots going on here at Center Grove Village. Thank you so much for the positive review. We appreciate you taking the time to write the review.
I really enjoy living here. We are close to major highways, and both of us are close to work. We have close access to parks, restaurants, and almost any store we can think of. Everything we really need seems to be about 15-20 minutes away. Plus this apartment sits with a grouping of other apartments so it's very nice area to walk around and jog. I actually want to live in this area when we can finally buy a house. The apartment itself is decently spacious for a 1 bedroom. Most people who have visited us thinks it's rather large. The upgraded kitchen is nice too, allowing me to have a great work station.

Thank you for your positive review. We are thrilled you are happy with Center Grove Village and the surrounding area.
I'll start off by saying that I've lived here for just over 3 years. I live in a one bedroom apartment with no dining room. You may notice the price is slightly higher than similar apartments in the area. With that being said, the apartments are ok for the money. The rooms are pretty spacious. Some of the molding, doors, and cabinets are outdated, but all still very functional. I have been in some of the remodeled apartments, and this has been corrected. The appliances in my apartment were replaced before I moved in. They are basic appliances, no special features. There is always plenty of parking not too far away from your apartment. During the winter, they are pretty good about snow removal. I have a sports car, and I have been able to get out of the complex early in the morning with no issue every snow storm since I've lived here. I've heard of some issues with some of the lots during the winter, but never experienced it myself. Most of my neighbors seem to be professionals, so they aren't awake all night during weeknights partying. It is very quiet at night, even on the weekends. Of course there are occasional exceptions, but nothing a closed window won't fix. All of my neighbors are either really nice, or they keep to themselves. Any maintenance that is needed, you can call in or submit it out their website. Depending on the request, it is usually done on the next day. I had a few issues with the paint cracking around door openings (the buildings are old, they are going to shift). This is the only thing that takes a little bit longer, because they have to schedule repairs with the painter. All of my dealings have been with Arline in the office, but she just recently retired. She really cared about the complex and did a lot to help keep everything nice here and was always really helpful with any questions. I haven't had any dealings with anyone new, and I'm not sure they found a permanent replacement yet. Otherwise, as you have already read, heat, hot water, and cooking gas are included in the rent. For my apartment, my electric bill is between $20 and $70. It is only $70 if it is an extremely hot summer month. I may have had my electric bill down to 18 dollars one month. I'm not sure if there is a specific formula, but every time I sign the lease, it seems like the rent goes up approximately $300 for the year ($25/month). All in all, I am very happy living here and would highly recommend moving here .
IF HAVING A POOL IS AN IMPORTANT CRITERIA IN YOUR SEARCH, DO NOT LIVE AT CENTER GROVE VILLAGE. THEY HAVE A POOL BUT IT IS BARELY EVER OPEN BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT HIRE A SECOND LIFEGUARD (OR LAST YEAR THEY HAD 2 BUT WITH VERY UNRELIABLE SCHEDULING) SO YOUR POOL PRIVELAGES ARE DETERMINED BY A SINGLE LIFEGUARDS PERSONAL SCHEDULE. THEY ARE NOT OPEN EVERY DAY AND OPEN LATE/CLOSE EARLY. RANDOMLY CLOSE FOR FULL DAYS OR ENTIRE WEEKENDS THAT IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE OPEN. OPENS LATE IN THE SEASON AND CLOSES VERY EARLY TOWARDS THE END OF THE SEASON. AM I WRONG OR ARE PUBLICLY USED POOLS SUPPOSED TO BE OPEN FROM MEMORIAL DAY TO LABOR DAY? NOT THE CASE HERE!! VERY FRUSTRATING IF YOU VALUE THE POOL AND HAVE LIMITED OPPORTUNIES TO ENJOY IT, THEN WHEN YOU CAN, ITS RANDOMLY CLOSED! UGH. SO FED UP!

I just want to apologize for the displeasure and problems you encountered during the 2014 summer season. We have made some changes and are looking forward to future summer seasons being fun and memorable here at Center Grove Village.
