Central Square at Watermark has been an outstanding place to live for the past year. The front office and maintenance staffs are friendly, responsive, professional and excellent in every way. We are 2 months into our 2nd year of living here at Central Square and we love it. We chose the apartment coming from out of state so we didn't even understand how great the location was until we lived here a while, but it's perfect for living in Mt Pleasant - minutes off 526, 10 mins to Sullivans and 15 to IOP, and a choice of multiple grocery stores (Publix, Trader Joes, Aldi, Walmart, Target) within a 15 minutes drive in any direction. It's just tucked off the road enough to enjoy the quiet of the neighborhood but still convenient to stores, gas, the town center, etc. Great sidewalks all around and access to a walking trail on the Watermark lake (all of which have been quarantine lifesavers!). Friendly neighbors and apartment staff. We haven't had to call maintenance at all in our full year of living here; everything in our apartment works well. Food trucks come regularly and the community center amenities are very nice. Only con is that if you miss the window for valet trash service the only dumpster is at one far end of the complex, but it's not really been an issue. Our lease renewal process also felt very smooth! Definitely recommend living here.

This is a great place to live. You can't beat the location and the community has a comfortable, neighborhood feel. I feel very safe here as a female living alone, which is very important to me. There are lots of young families and it is super dog friendly. I really love the pool and grill area. The staff is amazing, especially Claire and Demi. Maintenance is always around and very helpful and responsive. Highly recommend, especially if you're looking for somewhere quiet and laid back. I love it.

This apartment is very clean, and all staff is really kindness. Also, actually I don't like carpet. almost apartment had carpet, but this apartment had no carpet. I think this is important for our health. I loved this.

I love Central Square. Despite the turnover of staff, the community building, quality of facilities, responsiveness, amenities is is consistently EXCELLENT.
Nice apartments with central pool and common area. Small gym. Dog poo is held at bay by poo prints. Trash service is irregular and there is only one trash site at the far end of the community. Rent is increased annual at an about 5% rate, Parking is over priced.
Lovely unit, convenient location. Very quiet and safe. Staff is very friendly and prompt.

Such a beautiful community and area. Lots of young people but not a lot of young families which makes for quiet days at the pool. Staff is very nice and maintenance is super quick if you ever have an issue. The monthly events are also pretty great.
Since my first visit into the leasing office, I was treated with professionalism and respect. That isnt something I experienced at a couple of other properties. Everything so far has been great and made my move-in quite easy.

I have only lived here for 1 month so I will review in a year or so but so far this place has been amazing. I relocated here from California and they couldn't have been more helpful; letting me store my boxes in their offices until all of the paperwork went through, showing me around, always asking if I needed any help. I worked specifically with Danielle on my lease and she made the process so simple. Everyone else in the leasing office who I've communicated with has been great as well. The amenities are really nice (I use the pool, gym, and office daily) and the neighborhood is quiet. Would highly recommend this complex to anyone! Living at Central Square is not worth it! Though advertised and charged as 'luxury' apartments, promised upgrades to bring the place up to par with actual luxury apartments in the area seem to have been retracted. But that's not the worst of it. Management and maintenance do not check their own work. Much of it needs to be repeated, sometimes with great inconvenience to residents; some of it becomes an incredible safety hazard. And the worst aspect of work errors is that no one ever takes responsibility. That is a major problem. And what's most disheartening is that all of the issues around here could be avoided if someone, and I mean anyone at this point, would just take responsibility. As a resident, you will feel completely alone and helpless when you really need the services you pay for. Please take the warning seriously that your hard earned money won't cover what is promised appropriately.
I love living at Central square at Watermark. After moving to Charleston for graduate school and comparing apartments in West Ashley, Charleston and Mount Pleasant, I found this choice to be the best bang for my buck. The apartments are beautiful and the amenities are fantastic. The management staff are friendly and professional and the maintenance team is prompt and performs excellent work. I would recommend Central Square at Watermark to anyone who’s looking for an updated, quiet and community based complex.

We moved here from out of state and chose Central Square until we found a permanent home. It’s on an adorable street perfect for evening walks and the location in general is ideal. It’s so easy to get to Sullivan’s, Shem, downtown or hop on 526. The amenities are great and there are residents of all ages. There are lots of community events for all kinds of interests and regular food trucks for a little something different. Ferne and Danielle are so helpful whenever we need anything and maintenance is quick to fix any issues. It was a great place to live and served us well.

Cost to much, everyone else living around you are loud. The area grounds cleaning people love to start early and wake you up with there tools. Other people and contractors love to use your eletric to charge there tools. The parking is horrible and the pool only works half the time.

Never EVER live at Central Square at Watermark!!! YOU HAVE TO READ THE FINE PRINT OF THE LONG LEASE IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE COMPLETELY SCREWED OVER AND YOUR MONEY TAKEN!! Before we even moved in, we realized the completely unprofessional nature of the office staff. First off, we asked for a 12-month lease and they tried to trick us with our lease saying 13 months when we signed it. The main problem I have is with the office staff. They will do ANYTHING to try to scam you out of money. Most apartment staff send out a courtesy letter asking if you want to renew your lease, and if the renter doesn't let them know by a certain time frame, they will have to pay extra fees, rent, etc. Central Square does not do that!! When we confronted them about this, they said they usually send a post card in the mail but they must have "forgotten" to send one to us. You have to give them a 60-day notice in writing with signatures otherwise they will charge you extra months of rent!! I told them in person and via email that I was going to move out 3.5 months before our lease ended but that did not count. The only way you would know this is if you read the fine print in the 41 PAGE lease agreement. ITS A SCAM!! they just want your money! Whatever you do, do NOT MOVE HERE!!! They will try to trick you with their lavish community features and amenities but do not fall for it. If you want to live at a great apartment complex, go live at The Haven at Midtown right down the street from Central Square. My friend lives there and they have the most professional and awesome leasing staff! They don't try to scam you out of your money! We also had continuous problems with no air-flow into the master bedroom and an old AC unit, which they did not fix for the entirety of the time I lived there. The AC unit is SO loud and so is the dishwasher. Also, you can hear every single little thing through their paper thin walls. If you live on the first or second floors, have fun getting any sleep. You consistently hear dogs barking, people walking above you, and you can even hear word for word conversations from the apartment above or next to you! There is also NEVER any parking! You always see cars parked in handicap or next to the curb because they would rather their dumpsters have parking spots than the renters that actually live there. Run far away from this apartment community and DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!
