I love living here! The staff are all courteous and friendly. The amenities are amazing. I love having a screened in patio. The pool is clean and well kept. They even have a pool table.

Overall they do a good job of keeping the grounds clean. There was one incident where my washing machine was broken for over a week but they were waiting on parts. Overall decent community I enjoy living here.

We really have enjoyed living here at Century Dunes as its been such a refreshing and quiet atmosphere which was one of the reasons we chose to move here. Even living off of the main road we barely hear any traffic or noise! This has been one of the best decisions we have made when it comes to our home and we truly do feel at home here!
Great Experience! Bryanna was so patient and efficient throughout the whole process. The apartment was clean, the pool is amazing , and gym is perfect!

I lived here for 3 years, the apartments and appliances are all nice and new and maintenance was always quick to respond within 24 hours. The grounds are kept up pretty well and the pool is amazing on sunny Florida days. The amenities by the pool such as chairs and grills do need some work but it wasn’t the end of the world. I would definitely recommend this complex to someone looking for a nice place to live in the area.

I am so excited to move in to Centur Dunes because the service and communication I have received prior to and up to moving in have been amazing. I have lived in plenty complexes before and hands down this has been the easiest process. I can actually feel excited about moving in because I dont need to worry about tying up any loose ends. Bryanna has been amazing about anticipating any needs, I dont need to hound her for answers but she will initiate phone calls with me to update me on the process. Everything from touring, applying, getting all documents ready and signing the lease has been super seemless and stress free. We got the most thoughtful move in gift for us and our pet, we already feel cared for. Looking forward to being in our new home!

I’m enjoying living here. I’m close to nearby shopping centers and grocery stores. I’m near the highway, so traveling is easy. It’s mostly a quiet neighborhood and my neighbors are nice. I will be renewing my lease.

No rules are enforced which is why some residents have no respect for others. The front staff don’t ever answer the phone, so I hope there is never a major emergency. I have reported issues I have going on but there was no follow through.

I enjoy where I live. I like the community. As with anywhere you live you will always find a negative. My direct neighbors are great, although not so much about the indirect ones that are in my breezeway. Amenities could be better, You get what you pay for. Nobody likes change. Talk about it, implement it, stick to it. I have more to say but an open mouth catches all the bees.

Initially, I was impressed with how clean things appeared to be. Because of my job, I rarely at home. The few months I’ve been here I have noticed that there’s something wet/slick on the carpet that is tracked onto the wood floor, that causes that trip to bathroom to become an adventure. It took a lil time to get the gas/sewer smell out of the shower/sink/washer water. My drain was clogged for over a month in the bathroom and I mentioned it to the office and nobody showed up. Like I said, I’m not home a lot but I do know when I showered I stood in ankle deep water until I fixed it myself. The previous tenants left pet hair everywhere. I had to clean my place a couple times because I kept finding hair which is unnerving to say the least. As, I started being at home more I have noticed that it’s quiet and there’s not too much foolishness where I am. So, moving forward I think I’ll enjoy my stay here.

This apartment is a beautiful place to call home. I love live here. The neighborhood is very quiet and clean. And I appreciate every time when the staff make more comfortable our live here.
It’s an okay apartment inside of it is wonderful but living in the carriage home style you can get blocked in your garage sometimes if you park your car in the garage and be stuck at home as people sometimes take the spot outside your garage so you have to wait until a tow truck can come which can be pretty inconvenient, leaving your own place. Walking my dogs isn’t always pleasant as trash cans are often very full and smell pretty bad. It’s an okay apartment not luxury, though. People are constantly parked along curbs even around the roundabouts it’s like a zoo trying to get out to go to work in the mornings with cars everywhere.The gates are never the greatest they have issues calling people or sometimes stuck open So it’s not really considered a gated community You can never go in the pool on the weekends it’s always filled with tons of people that don’t even live here and partys usually going on. And it is not a smoke-free community. There are so many people that smoke here.

We've been living at Century Dunes for almost 2 years now. The office staff & maintenanceare great. The control pannel outside our bedroom has been beeping for a year now. Office staff and maintenance are unable to shut off the constant loud beeping but are aware of it. There have been no improvements in implementing parking passes so we struggle to find a parking spot after 5pm.

Very nice place to live. I really have no complaints. I’ve used maintenance a couple times and they’ve been prompt and solved the problem with no issues. The neighbors are relatively quite, other than an occasional dog barking. I’m happy here.

Entering our second year here, we’ve been frustrated about the security gates being broken more often that they are fixed. :( more cockroaches have been coming in and the dishwasher has also been becoming a bigger issue. Yet the rent goes up!

No humanity as their management turnover is horrible i which you’ll never have truthful information and they’re trustworthy. No amenities and the areas are filthy. Haven’t grilled in 1.5 years and pool been filthy more then clean

Love living here. Great staff, clean apartments. Great neighbors. Maintenance crew is nice. Staff gets back to you so quick. The pool area and amenities that are included are a plus. Valet trash pick up is also super useful.

Very nice place to live except I really wish they would fix the fireplace. It hasnt worked at all in the 1.5 years ive been here. Also I can hear my neighbors stomp all day long

Main issue- over 40 palmetto roaches in 3 months. I have an 8 month old son and the only thing they seem to care about is money. The options we were offered : 1) pay $3,500 termination fee to move out or 2) move to another unit with one bedroom for $250 more than what we pay. So essentially we would have to pay movers on top of $3,500 and down payment + application fee + rent for a new place OR pay movers to go into a more expensive unit that we might encounter the same issue in. When we moved in, it took 14 days for them to send pest control. There were large gaps in front door, patio (which is screened in) and patio door. Pest control and management have said there is nothing else they could do. As tenants we have bought sticky traps that have caught more than the pest control traps. I’ve seen them on the walls, ceiling and in my son’s play area. The last straw was seeing one crawl next to his arm and on his netted tent. At this point we have been staying with my mom and have been speaking with a lawyer since they want to practically hold us hostage by making it financially devastating for us to move. Management has been nice but actions speak louder than words. Three months is a long time especially if you’re a stay at home mom with a baby. This review is solely based on the most disturbing issue but this community has a parking problem. Some park at stop signs, curbs etc. When we moved in we noticed that the walls had patches of different shades/colors. The front door was all scratched up and chipping. The breezeways have bugs, spider webs and debris. Other tenants leave their trash for valet pick up all hours. The gate to the community doesn’t work with the key cards/badges we were given so we have to dial a code to get in. I could go on and on. Our experience has shown that it is not truly a luxury apartment.
I moved in February 2023 3 months ago and this has been the worst living experience in my life. Obviously like many other ppl we weren’t allowed to see the exact unit of where we be moving into so we were shown a model showing & it was perfect but not only the unit the building, hallway, stair, stair rails were pristine so we had all the trust in the world especially that the complex looked good from afar and is barely 3 years old that this would be the place for me my wife and my newborn baby. Exact opposite, from day 1 moving in our building hallways and stairs are disgusting, pest everywhere, trash bins out from our neighbors, you can’t even grab the handrails on the stairs cause it’s chipping and had bugs all over them. The worst part came that night when we saw and killed 3 live roaches. While doing our checklist we realized our front door had a huge gap underneath where you can see the daylight outside shining thru. Any pest can get thru that. We submitted our checklist, called, wrote emails immediately. We had other issues on the checklist we needed fixed but the roaches were our FIRST PRIORITY. Can you believe nobody from maintenance, pest control, or management showed up for 2 weeks?! Every apartment I lived at they showed up within 48 hours the latest even if it was just to address us first. We see roaches everyday almost since we moved in. They’re litteraly so many dead in the hallways while you walk to your front door. You can’t escape it. They weren’t even getting caught on masseys traps we had them alive on our walls during the daytime and every morning when we wake up some dead some still alive. Yesterday we had the most ever in 1 day it was 6 roaches. We’ve had to stay in hotels and family place multiple times because of this stress. People are parked on the curbs because there’s no parking close to their home you have to squeeze down the middle of the lane every morning to get to work and not scratch another vehicle. The neighbors have their trash bin out 24/7 even though we were all given rules and trash bins should be inside by 9 am everyday. Today is April 29th,2023 we have already asked the management to break our lease and they have refused. Massey has been treating us and has acknowledged there’s nothing else they can do because they’re all outside roaches, palmettos/American and due to the poor valet trash and the complex doesn’t pay for preventative pest control they only call Massey after the fact that there’s an infestation.
Not only did I email the leasing director specifically about my concern of vacating early prior to signing a lease, I also confirmed with her multiple times that I would not be charged an early termination fee. Upon my cancellation I was in fact charged the early termination fee and was told by management that she denied remembering the conversation. I of course forwarded the email to management but nothing could be done. I should have made it a point to make sure she added it in the addendum instead of taking her word. Obviously my mistake. Prior to signing my lease I asked what school zone the complex was zoned for, I wanted to be sure my daughter would be able to ride the bus as I am not always able to take her to and from school. Taylor told me that the complex was zoned for Deland, it is not. The complex is zoned for University High in Orange City. I called and questioned her and was actually thanked for letting her know as she wasn't able to get a direct answer from the city, but assumed it was Deland. I honestly believe she told me what I wanted to hear in order to fill the unit. I am a college educated, single mother who works in healthcare. I am honest, caring and would never lie to a patient about a concern. I expect the same from the property I'm leasing a unit from. She cost me 3000.00 in move out fees and a school year of having to leave early from work to pick up my daughter from school. Unfortunately, the complex is now overrun with tenants. It's difficult if not impossible to find a parking spot in front of your building after 5. It is suppose to be a smoke free community, but it is not. Expect to hear your neighbors come and go, fight, etc. If your unit faces the parking lot expect to hear loud music from people coming and going when you're in bed at midnight. Expect packages to be lost and delivered to the wrong address. The only positive remark I can make is about the maintenance guy. I am sorry that I can't remember his name. He is super friendly, quick to help with whatever you need and truly enjoys what he does. He is the example of a star employee and is an asset to the complex. That being said I would not live here again, nor would recommend it to a friend.
The apartment is wonderful, clean, well equipped. There is so much room. The screened porch is great. BUT.....the parking we were promised does not exist. We were not promised assigned parking, but were told that there was ample parking and there is NOT. At least not for building 8. DON'T let them put you in building 8 because you won't have a place to park, you will be driving all over looking for a spot. This building has 1/2 the parking of the other buildings and management has been asked to provide solutions and has not. Also, the amenities are being used by a few people who take over; if you expect to use the amenities that you are paying for you will be disappointed. Management has been told about this also, nothing has changed. There are so many good things about this complex, and I will be happy to come back and update the review, but for now, I'm paying a lot of money to stay in a place and not able to use the amenities and having to park blocks away from my apartment (which sucks when it's raining and you have groceries).
