Property Ratings at Century Hampton Roads
No type of security, staff is very unprofessional, Roches all over the property! Multiple car jacking, homeless people love to congregate on the property! They say they cameras but actually don’t. Paper thin wall you can hear everything and anything from a toilet flush to your neighbors conversations! Don’t move here it’s just going to be a pain 24/7
Property Manager at Century Hampton Roads, Responded To This Review
We appreciate you for sharing your feedback, but we are disheartened to find that your impression of our community is anything less than exceptional. We would love the opportunity to speak with you directly and find ways we can improve in the future. That said, we ask that you contact our office at your earliest convenience to discuss this. We hope to hear from you soon.
RENTER BEWARE!!!! Do not rent at this complex, especially if you have a family. Our family of four has been asked to leave the complex. This is because our neighbor below us has made several false claims about noise, what's worse is that we were not notified about the majority of these claims. Apparently your neighbor can claim anything they want, and the staff will just take there word for it. Will they give you a chance to defend the claims?.... NO!! So we received our notice to vacate, and at this point I'm over it. I will gladly leave. However, now they are telling me that we are obligated to pay the rent until someone else rents the unit, or until our lease runs out?!?!? They are the ones terminating the lease, not us!... How are we going to be able to afford rent for two places from September till December??? This place is terrible, the maintenance staff takes days to service any request, field mice are constancy finding there ways in to our apartment. There are little black ants that never go away, and now we are being asked to leave but still pay in full for the next 4 months if no one occupies the unit? This is beyond ridiculous, How can you treat a military family like this? This is unethical, and unbelievable. Stay far away if you are looking for a apartment for your family.
We have lived here for a year and loved every minute of it. The staff is great, the pool and grounds are beautiful, and the location is wonderful. We are grateful for the 3 pet policy and if we get stationed in Virginia again we will pick this place again!

Hello! Thank you so much for the amazing 5-star review and feedback! We're so happy you enjoy living here. We appreciate the kind words and hope you return to us, too!
Looked like a beautiful neighborhood at first, but is generally UNSAFE!! A nearby bus stop with random people that walk through the neighborhood (someone attempted to enter my house while I was working). My wife no longer exercises in the neighborhood after being stalked by passerbys. A construction zone with loud industrial noise that has been ongoing for a year now and brings random people coming and going through the neighborhood. As well it is directly in sight from my window. Amenities have been severely restricted since the start of the virus and no change to rent has been made, so I am paying for something that my family and I are barely able to use. Maintenance regularly takes over a week to come to your place and fix or replace simple things. All of this packed into an overpriced and underserved rental place. Even with a discount on top of a one year lease and all amenities available, THIS PROPERTY IS NOT WORTH IT. There are plenty of other options in the neighborhood with more to offer and competitive prices.
The staff here is excellent! The property is beautiful, floor plans are great (especially the Valencia). Location is good! What more do you need.
Me, my husband and our 2 dogs absolutely LOVE living here at Hampton Roads Crossing! There's a true sense of community with the residents. The residents even have daily puppy playdates at the dog park. Staff is VERY friendly and super helpful with issues. Maintenance staff is top notch. Location couldn't be better for easy commuting and local shopping. They also have Verizon FIOS which is rare in this area. The apartments are gorgeous and at a reasonable price. Couldn't ask for a better HOME.
When we moved in there was a small dent in the freezer door. We didn’t care because it was smaller than the size of a dime. It was documented, but somehow now that we’ve moved out that documentation has disappeared and we are being charged over $300 to replace the freezer door on a $400 fridge.... Not a nice way to treat someone who always paid ahead on their rent.
My husband and I loved living here. The only reason we left was because we brought our first home. One thing we liked the most about living here was the staff, location andante room sizes.
My wife and I love living here. The apartments are great. Nice double vanities in the bathroom and beautiful hardwood floors throughout. The staff is very helpful and truly care about their residents. Happy to call HRC home!
Such an amazing place to live! The apartments are very well maintained and the staff couldn't be nicer. The bedrooms and bathroom are spacious. The amenities are great. We have loved lounging by the pool all summer. Would highly recommend these apartments to all my family and friends! I am sad that my husband's job is transferring us out of state. We will miss living here!
These apartments offer great amenities for a decent price. Parking isn't too bad depending upon where your unit is located and if you purchase a reserved parking space, which you really don't even need for an extra $30 this property tries to take you for, someone else will park in it and completely disregard it. The leasing representatives are great, but my run in with the new property manager was anything but professional. For the amount of money that we pay to live here and the amount of lifestyle and amenities that they feel to charge for, you would think they could find a better suited and competent manager who actually appreciates the residents and the property itself. She isn't very approachable or very friendly. Other than that, the apartments themselves are great if you can ignore an egotistical, narcissist as a property manager.

My apologies if your dealing with the Property Manager did not meet your expectations. I am a very "by the book" person so if you felt I was unprofessional, I do apologize. I hope by now things have improved and if there is anything I can do, please let me know.
Wonderful apartment complex! Love the beautiful dark floors throughout the main space and bathrooms. An apartment that doesn't have carpets or minimum carpet is really hard to find. Very modern and updated, and the Closets are huge! The layout is perfect for my lil one and I. The clubhouse and 24 hour access to the gym is wonderful. I can come home from work and work out at home, no need to make a trip to a gym in the city. Perfect location, close to restaurants, movie theater, shopping and military bases. A hidden gem that I'm glad I found! Absolutely love coming home to this place.
I really love my apartment. The amenities are great. A wonderful exercise room, beautiful club house, very attentive and professional cleaning crew, and the grounds are maintained. My apartment is great. Overlooks the pool, s. pacious, nice balcony, and nice stainless appliances. I feel like I'm living in a very nice hotel. Glad I moved here!
We recently moved into our apartment after three rough years of losing our house illegally. We found this new development in Suffolk, VA and love it. We have 2 large bathrooms plus three bedrooms and a kitchen with a great island where I am able to bake easily.
I have almost finished my first 1 year lease here and its been a wonderful experience. The staff has always been helpful and courteous. The area is booming with new additions within walking distance being added constantly. You can choose to also rent an extra storage unit and a private parking space. I use the gym. pool and bbq grills regularly and everything always seems the way left it. Definitely no doubts about signing the next 1 year!
Extremely nice and spacious apartments. Staff members are very friendly and always willing to help. Would have rated a 5 but there are no elevators or playground for children.
