Dallas is one of the largest cities in America, combining urban sophistication with an incomparable Texan personality. Dallas is an altogether unique blend of cultures, styles, and flavors, with more than one million people calling the city proper home.
Living in Dallas puts you right in the thick of it all, with endless options to customize your experience. Corporate professionals seeking to avoid long commutes may want to look for apartments in Downtown or Uptown, which are both home to major business centers as well as residential communities, affording many residents walkable access to work. Culture enthusiasts should consider apartments near the Dallas Arts District, which is home to the Nasher Sculpture Center, the Dallas Museum of Art, the Winspear Opera House, and more. Dallas offers some of the most diverse nightlife in Texas, from laid-back lounges to thumping night clubs.

Property Ratings at Century Park
I lived at Century Park apartments for one year and it was easily the worst experience I’ve ever had or even heard of at an apartment complex. There are roaches EVERYWHERE. The infestation is completely unmanageable and the complex is aware and is still letting people move in to these infested units. They will happily charge a monthly pest control fee and the “pest control” services that do absolutely nothing because roaches are living behind holes and gaps between cabinets and other unreachable areas. The final straw was when I looked in my pantry to find roaches crawling all over my food and when calling the office they told me I could stop by for a roach trap that they keep on hand in the office just to call back minutes later to say they were out of traps. On top of that, this complex will try to milk every penny out of you, for example my registration sticker was out one week and while waiting for my new sticker in the mail, I found a tow notice on my car and when calling the office they told me there was nothing they could do about it. They are also happy to charge a monthly amenity fee while the laundry units are always broken, I even had hundreds of dollars worth of clothes shredded up in a dryer at the complex. Please trust the reviews and avoid these apartments at absolutely all costs. They should be torn down.

We want to improve your experience and would appreciate the chance to talk through these concerns. Kindly reach out at centurypark@anterra.com and we'd be happy to help.
I've lived in these apartments for two years and it is not a nice quiet neighborhood. There are constantly sirens and loud cars and gunshots heard here. I can hear every step and most conversations that my neighbors have, as well as the dozens of unsupervised children that run around the property destroying things and screaming until late into the evening/night. There are always broken down cars parked along the roads. The apartments idea of pest control is to bring in roach glue traps but only when you complain about the roach problem, and that is what you pay monthly for. Pictures are deceiving, especially of the workout room and pool area, the equipment is old and torn and gross and the pool half the time is closed and un-accessible. This property is definitely not worth the price hike they just gave everyone. It is central location with lots of options for things to do and places to go but there is also crime and lots of noise.

People from the office are very nice, as well as people around your building. They have nice amenities, especially hub locker. Very convenient location for all locations especially restaurants.

Thank you for the great review! We are happy to know you enjoy living at Century Park! - Century Park Staff
I am so happy to have called this place my home for about a year. I could not have been happier with the office staff, maintenance and overall community of this property. They have made extreme improvements on parking, cleanliness of the property and maintenance is phenomenal. Some of the residents get lazy and throw their trash out onto the parking lot. I'm an early bird and I always see maintenance out first thing in the morning personally picking up the trash by the trash cans. I only had minuscule issues when I rented two units at the property like the toilet needing a tune up or my air conditioning filter needing replacing. Some residents complain of roaches and other bugs dwelling beside them but I always believe in -- if you are clean, the bugs will stay away! Plus, they spray routinely around the property as well. The parking has gotten A LOT better but warn your visitors they will need a visitor parking pass or their vehicle will be towed. There is signage posted all over the property. The laundry facilities are excellent and are owned by a third party company. (Look at the posters on the wall) The pool area and barbecue is clean and well maintained. I never had a problem with mail or receiving any packages. Anterra Management truly has everyone's best interest at heart and in being one of the best. Overall, Century Park is a becoming place to call home.

My apartment has had a permenant smell since I have moved in. The previous lease holder had animals and the carpet was impossible to clean. I have no lights or fan in my living room or my bedroom. When I first moved in parking was a free for all, they have since changed the rules. One parking permit per house hold, giving a limited amount of visitor parking spots. They are always full because that's where the other people in the house hold park. When I have visitors they have no where to park. Towing is very strict and they had no alternative than to tell me to have them park on the street, which defeats the purpose of living in a gated community. The air conditioner leaks above my ceiling and caused a hole which is molding and all they did was fill it. It is still an issue. If there is any advice I can give you, don't live here.
The apartment complex I am reviewing is Century Park (used to be Oak Run). I came in when they were under JRK Management in December. The state they were in was horrible. Things ranged from potholes at the gates and inside the complex, gates not working, loud neighbors, shootings, drug deals... It wasn't safe. In January, Antera Management took over. Everyone, except one person, in the office was very nice and welcoming. I can't remember her name, but she's the big Mexican lady (she's the only big Mexican lady). Jill, the manager, opened her doors to current residents for a meet-and-greet of the new management team. They made promises to make the complex a better place. To a certain extent, they did. The potholes were fixed. The gates began to work. Loud neighbors and drug deals began dwindling (still present). I thought the shootings were gone... Until last night, midnight. There was a shooting inside the complex near the entrance to the complex. Police were blocking people from going inside for safety purposes. This alone made me move out right away. Apart from that, the buildings are old and foundation problems are extremely present and plenty. I complained about it, but due to budget concerns... Antera did nothing about it. Rain would always seep through the cracks near my window in the living room and flood my carpet. They still, to this day, have not replaced the window or the wall near the window. It's an okay place if you don't mind the mess, really. I'm just glad I'm finally moving out.
Everything was going good until they did pest control. It did the opposite of what it said. It brought out the roaches instead of controlling them.
New management is really trying to turn this property around. Older apartments with normal issues but for the price not too bad. Spacious bedrooms, sun-room or patio choices. Kitchens are a bit small but functional. Maintenance requests are handled in a timely manner and the rental staff are super nice and will work with you with any issues you have.
This is a good place to live they have done renovations throughout the entire complex everything from the roof the siding all the appliances everything now that does make rent go up a little bit they put the pool is brand new thing of beauty made you have the nice barbecue grills gas grills outside the grounds are kept management keeps their word about 90% of the time so for me that's pretty good I would definitely live here again but right now money is a little thin
I can honestly say ever since new management has came in a lot of upgrades have been made. Office staff is friendly, maintenance is ok as far as responding depending on the issue. I've had to wait a little over a week for some things, others could be same day. Its a decent area. Lots of restaurants and a school in walking distance. Its not an upscale place but it isn't the hood either.
