Property Ratings at Champions Green
I recommend that anyone that is looking for an apartment to keep looking. This has been my worst experience ever with an apartment. Management is completely unprofessional (No one answers the phone, responds to email, and I received a nasty attitude from the head of the office when mentioning not getting responses). Often times maintenance has to be called numerous times for issues to get resolved. I've dealt with mold, leaks, and bugs during my stay. Recently it has become extremely noisy, people can be heard partying by the pool well after midnight, and management has done nothing.
I recently moved after being there for 5 yrs. The apartments are spacious since they are older; however, the rent has gone up way too high. Addition of the "smart system" is not enough to justify the hike in prices. The apartments need to be completely refurbished for the price to be worth it. Parking is horrible. Roaches due to leaks and they make you pay for damages to your apartment caused by the complex's failure to completely fix the issues. Not worth the money at all.
Pros: Friendly Neighbors (Not much disruptions unless you count my crazy neighbor and her cheating Fiance....They just moved in 2 months ago [A lot of yelling] from this post so hoping they get it together by the time I leave.) Family Friendly ( They do a lot of family related events so if you have kids they will like it here.) Safe area (other than the 1 time we had some cars broken into nothing else crazy has happened in the complex.2019) Maintenance (believe it or not the maintenance team especially Sam are very nice.) Now for the cons and why I put this as a 3... Parking: Some people have too many cars to 1 household..... so if you go somewhere at 7 pm and come back after 9 good look finding parking in front of your apartment. I have had nights where I would have to go 2 building up to get a parking spot. Cats: Yes, there are a lot of cats that roam around the place. I have 1 cat that likes to hang out in our breezeway, sometimes in front of my door. 3: BUGS: this one alone contributed to me leaving. I am a relatively clean person no food left out but OMG the bugs is a problem. Im on the bottom floor labeled first floor so at least once a week I feel like some bug is in my home ready to die. Spiders, this weird love bug looking bugs, roaches, 1 time it was a lizard.... Imagine waking up in the middle of the night and BOOM roach on your arm. not once, but TWICE. yeah, I am not with that. At my last apartment complex (Barrington Hills) I never encountered a roach, so this was too much for me. And the bugs are only docile when its cold. So spring and summer it gets real. Nature: Specifically, for me it was the snakes. Yes, this place has snakes. the reviews did not lie. i was thinking maybe it was a one off thing....no. I am scare of snakes and in the 3 years being here I have seen 4. 2 dead and 2 alive. the first month moving into my place I saw a baby snake (the ones with the cone head) and i screamed and met my neighbors for the first time.....embarrassing.... mold: IDK why but when it rains alot my sunroom got ALOT of mold. I feel like I constantly had to clean it off only for it to come back. That isn't healthy for a person to deal with. They need better window insulation or something... This is a long review, but I had to give all the tea. In Summary: The staff and maintenance are nice, the bugs is what killed it for me. I couldn't do another round of this to save my life. SO stay at your own discretion.
My air conditioner suddenly stopped working. I called the office and in less than 24 hours, the maintenance staff came out to help. They quickly determined the source of the problem and were able to fix it within 10 minutes. Thank you Sam and Nina for taking care of family and me!
The water is ALWAYS out. They can’t seem to fix a plumbing issue that’s been going on for what seems forever. We get no warning, they just shut the water off and won’t tell anyone when it’ll be back on. Super inconvenient. Happens way too often!!!
Do not live here. The office staff is so unhelpful with the exception of Jennifer. The property manager is deceitful and manipulative. I lived here 2 years and until 5 months ago i had no issues, but once they started they didn't stop. I had neighbors below me blasting music TOO loud- it took 7 complaints before it was handled. I had another neighbor with 5 cars who kept them parked at all times in front of our building (the lease says you can only have 1 car per tenant on the lease)- this took 4 complaints and an escalation to the Regional manger before being resolved. My rent was raised $90 the first year and $130 the second- insane. Valet trash is a RIP OFF. Just stay away from here- you can get WAY MORE for the money you'd spend here.
I have been her for almost 3 years and I have really enjoyed it here. Usually when you move into a place, you never know what issues might come up but all our neighbors are very nice. I always feel safe in Champions Green. I took a star off because we live on the third floor and it does get very hot in the apartment even when it is cool and breezy outside. We have our bedroom windows open but you can not open the windows in the sun room so if you are not in the bedroom...it is hot and humid.
Ive lived here for 8 months and its great the staff is always helpful and willing to do anything to make sure your needs are met. I love coming home to my apartment because it is very spacious I also love the amenities from the gym, to the pool, to the grills Champions Green is the best place to stay in South Alpharetta.
Champion Green is a well managed, quite and safe neighbourhood. The staffs is very supportive and always responsive. I had very good experience with the staff. The apartments are in good status but upgrade would make it more better. Good play area for kids and pet friendly. Target at walking distance. Drawbacks: Few - 1. Dog poops are found in area. The tenants are to be blamed; 2. The apartment needs some upgrade; 3. If gated, would make it much better.
it is well located prompt services when required clean and decent beautiful landscape.
The ladies at the office are so kind and happy to help you with anything. Apartment was clean on move-in day. Neighbors are quiet so far. Only been here a few days and I am hesitant to go outside at night (to take the trash out, etc) since there is no gate to the complex. I'm sure its safe though.
