do not live here. Management does nothing at all. my apartment flooded on christmas and nobody would help. I called the office and the management of the apartment complex knightvest and they didnt give me any information on anything they just left me for a month with no carpet or flooring.

Very good place to live, quiet and safe. Amenities are good!
The title says it all, and applies across the board. Maintenance requests get closed out/ignored or are completed in the laziest way possible (i.e., super gluing my toilet paper holder on). I’ve taken to just fixing my apartment myself when possible. Management seems to not have a clue what’s going on. Honestly a nice looking apartment complex at the surface with more than enough hidden issues to make me avoid this place in the future.

Nothing could make me sadder than to see that the issue I've come here to write about has in fact been written about repeatedly: management will say they've taken care of a problem without it actually being fixed. I've now reached out to management five times due to the issue with the gate to Picket road. This gate seems to have a mind of its own. It will open by itself, start to close, get stuck, and repeat. Kind of funny by itself, the fact that it happens at all hours of the day and night is a nightmare. It means that I can't sit on my porch. It means that I can't work with my windows open. It means that I can't sleep with my windows open. But worse than the gate itself is the fact that I've now reached out to management multiple times, each time with a response the next day of "this has been resolved." Each time the note of resolution arrives, and then 24 hours later the problem is back. Worse still, is that I look at the comments on this thread and I see that this has been an ongoing problem. Not even just that management isn't actually responding well to renters, but literally this gate has been the problem. If you're searching for an apartment, these apartments are fine. If you're looking to be comfortable, move along.

The management can’t care less about residents. The gate has been broken forever which makes the gated community insecure and there has been houses and cars broken in. The management show how annoyed they are when you need them to fix problems. It is truly horrible and stay away is my best advice. They claim to have invested in renovations but truly cannot do the most basic things
DO NOT RECOMMEND. Unfortunately this complex was bought out by a Texas management company, Knightvest, last year. The management is HORRENDOUS. It literally took me almost 2 weeks to even talk to management after calling, emailing, leaving messages, and sitting outside the leasing office waiting for someone - anyone - to show up! Instead of answering, a maintenance order would be created in my name and shut the next day. With no return of call or attempt to reach me. It's so unfortunate because this used to be a nice place to live, but the management makes it completely not worth it. I've had plumbing problems for literally months and have asked for a plumber to come out. Instead, they open a maintenance order, do a quick fix, and then close it. I don't know if they just want to have a quick closure rate or what, but they DO NOT CARE about the residents. It also IS NOT a gated community. The entire time I've lived here, at least one gate has been broken probably 90% of the time. I have had to again ask, ask, and ask again for them to have someone look into it and it takes weeks and weeks. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Update: Now the pool is closed for the rest of the summer... we had 1 day notice that it would be closing. Also several cars have been broken into recently (again the gates never work).
Worst management team ever. My neighbor's house was broken in and they did not care or offer any help. When you see "Knightvest" managing a property, you better walk away.
Knightvest management is just trash. update 04/5/2021: The side gate is broken AGAIN! Last time the management said to fix it in response to the criminal activity. It did work for less than a month, and now it's been broken for a couple weeks. Apparently they don't really care about your safety. If the gate is that old why not get a new one?? Here comes another ridiculous thing. We've been using our amazon package hub for 2 years and it worked great. However last week the management just shut down the hub for NO REASON and forced us to sign up for a new one. Even more ridiculously, they closed the old one but HAVE NOT INSTALLED the new one! I had no issues receiving packages over the past years but my newest package (nearly $100 value) got lost due to this. It's said to be delivered on 4/03 but the management claimed they didn't get it. POOR MANAGEMENT!! I just can't stand it anymore and won't be renewing my lease. Original: Have been living here for 2 years. This has been a nice place, but things changed as the new management took over in August 2020 (8 months ago). The gates are always broken and I saw in other reviews apartments have been broken into. Today, Feb 19th, a carpet-washing vehicle parked by building #900 around 11:20pm and the whole building has been under great noise since then. Carpet washing at midnight??? We called the police but they did nothing. It's 12:50am now 20th and the noise is still there. If it's not some toxic chemicals spilled onto the carpet then you should wait until tomorrow morning instead of disturbing your neighbors. Be respectful of others.
I am very happy with my decision to move to the Parc at University Tower - great location, amenities, and staff!
Excellent? No. Maintenance gave me the run around with my noisy refrigerator and Manaagement sent me a bill after my lease was up, considering I paid my remaining balance due instead of sending me my deposit. Wouldn't suggest these apartments.

The Parc at University Tower has clean and properly maintained apartments, it is in a great location and is a safe community, and management and maintenance are very helpful and responsive with any issue big or small. Overall a great community to be in if you work and/or study at Duke.

Great management staffalways super responsive to any maintenance issues (of which there are very few). Office is open on weekends for package pickup and general questions. Also an excellent place for pet-ownerslots of green space and a dog park. The units are quite spacious and laid out well. Will definitely be living here for another year.

I have lived at the Parc at University tower for 3 years and love this community. It's close to the grocery store, Duke's campus, and a quick drive from downtown. The office staff is also very friendly and maintenance requests are typically completed the same day I report a problem,
The Parc is a wonderful place to live. It's clean, the community and Parc staff are amazing. It's close to everything and it feels like home. We are extremely happy here.

Ive lived at The Parc at University Tower for two years, and have no plans to leave. I feel safe and love my apartment. The management and maintenance staff are courteous and extremely helpful.
Parc at University is an amazing place to live! The staff is very responsive to maintenance needs and accommodating during the moving process. They truly go above and beyond to show you they care about your situation. We moved from out of state and was looking for a safe and friendly place to live and we found it here at the Parc.

We just moved cross country from California and loved these apartments from the layout to the management. They are extremely helpful in moving in (even helped with shipping our car out there), maintenance is great they respond within a few days, and the complex is very safe! There is even a dog park that's well lit at night,so many stores all around Super Target, Sams Club, and is a 10 minute drive to downtown Durham.

While the rates are on the expensive end of fair, the staff is friendly and helpful. Service for repairs and maintenance needs is great (my standard for that is they have always fixed the problem within a week of the report and usually before that), and location is very good, within walking distance of target and Sam's and several restaurants. Easy access to I-85, headed toward Durham or west on 40. There is a gate which is frequently not functioning during the day but we have felt safe there. Rare instances of noise disturbance late at night by college students, and access to a pool and grill.
