East Hill-Meridian is a neighborhood in Washington's sixth largest city, Kent. Though a primarily residential area, it is centrally located; 20 miles south of Seattle, eight miles east of Seatac International Airport, and five miles from Downtown Kent. Residents here have easy driving access to Washington's upscale Eastside cities, without the Eastside price tag. Companies like Microsoft, T Mobile and Expedia are an easy commute away from Kent. East Hill-Meridian holds a number of single-family homes and apartments for rent, all at a slightly lower cost than Seattle and Eastside suburbs, making it an ideal spot for families or anyone looking for a little more space for their dollar on the outskirts of Seattle.

Property Ratings at Chandlers Bay
The floor plans here are open and all the top floors have vaulted ceilings. They are really spacious. We have been here for a long time and seen management change many times. The management and maintenance we have now are the best we've had since moving in. We want to thank Matt for doing a great job and taking care of any maintenance we've needed.

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to leave a review for us at Chandlers Bay. We're happy we could meet your expectations! If you ever need anything else from us, please feel free to give us a call or stop by. Have an awesome day!
The renovated apartments are beautiful on the inside and having a pond in your backyard is a bonus. In some places, you can feed ducks off your patio. The maintenance staff are all very friendly and do their job well, but the office staff is terrible. Messages either never get to the managers or they don't take the time to respond. I have called so many times and heard silence back. I have put in many service requests and was still left without improvements yet somehow showed "completed" through the resident portal. Although they do have an evening security car that drives around the negligence of this apartment to keep up with basic safety measures such as parking lot lights is undeniable. Vehicles are stolen or broken into nightly here, homeless people live in their cars with aggressive animals and they do not have keys for many amenities including top locks in apartments and garages. It seems the only way to get any results is to contact corporate. This experience has been very disappointing considering I am a friendly tenant who always pays in full on time. In summary, you will pay thousands of dollars extra in repairs for the duration of your stay at this complex.

Hi, we regret to hear that you had this experience with us. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will use your comments to refine our efforts to ensure this issue does not happen again.
Overpriced for what you get, or should I say don’t get. Bums set up by the dog park or by the entrance. The water dries up over summer exposing the trash filled pond they advertise in the pictures. Cars are broken into nightly and nothing is done about it. The geese are LOUD and so is the train. Leasing office is shady when is comes to renewing leases and pricing. Trash is rummaged through by bums and thrown all over. Toilet has ran since I moved in and every closet has broken of the track. They have cheap painted counters that chip revealing white tile cabinets underneath. Maintenance is rude and lets themself in whenever they want and don’t give you time to open the door or throw on clothes, they knock and immediately enter. Just save yourself the money and move somewhere else.
I have lived here for over 2 years and had my car broken into twice and they took our license plate, the mailboxes were broken all the mail was stolen. I have heard some scary drunk fights outside every other weekend. The people in the office are nice when you are moving in and are not helpful after that. Do you get motion sickness? The whole complex shakes every few hours from the nearby train and loud train whistles every time, even at 3 am. I asked for my lease for a few weeks before finally getting a copy from the lady I kept asking. We have another car that has to be parked far away and out of sight and forgot to apply my new tags to those license plate and the "Convenient" tow truck company picked it up only a week into the new month. The front office didn't care they towed our car and cost us $300. They are probably getting money from the "CONVENIENT" tow truck company every car they tow. There are people that steal even a few pennies from your car. LEAVE NOTHING IN YOUR CAR! The office will not help you. OH and fireworks... in June, July, and SEPTEMBER?!
Pros- Spacious Cons- Over priced and fully allowed smoking apartment complex. Used appliances, janky repairs. Negligent staff. Swimming pool is hijacked every evening with neighboring apartment kids and even adults. No security to employ the safety and rights of the gym/pool area. Over priced, just move in to Central Flats because it’s all literally the same place. It’s a trap to live here. The balcony smoking that’s permitted will permeate your unit and if you have kids, or ailments they do not care! It’s legal here.
I have lived here almost 5 months and am in a "newly renovated apartment" the renovation is done very poorly! Paint dripping down the walls, painting right over rotting wood, drawers aren't even on the tracks which are put in crooked, bath tub tile left cracked and left from previous layout. Security is non existent, I have never seen one patrol and I get off work in the middle of the night when there is supposedly patrols taking place. I would NOT recommend this property to anyone!
Was promised and told before we Signed our lease that there was 24 hour security at night. We asked this question specifically because of the reviews that we read about this apartment complex and cars getting broken into online. And it was a major concern of ours ..... Not even 2 months into living here my boyfriend went to his car to go to work and his car had no tires on it and was sitting on the ground. When we confronted the management about it They laughed WHICH I completely didn't understand and said that they have courtesy patrol. That is completely not the same thing as 24 hour security at night!!!Horrible experience and we can not wait till our lease is up just 2 months in and over 1000.00 out of pocket. Thanks Chandlers bay for caring.
Sure it's a little pricey, and the groundskeepers start mowing the lawns pretty early. But that's worth it in my eyes when you're left with a beautiful apartment and surrounding landscape. I lived at Chandler's Bay for 2 years with my husband and infant son and adored it. I was very sad to leave. There was a playground and a fenced dog area literally steps from my apartment. Also, there were so many guest parking spots I never saw them all the way full. And parking is usually quite an issue at complexes. I also loved the courtesy patrol. It made us feel safer at night. While the staff is extremely nice and helpful, they do have a bit of a problem with answering the phone. But that could be due to busyness. Also, the propane in the barbeque in the Cabana was empty every time we ever tried to use it. But otherwise, great staff and great place. We had a one bedroom but the bedroom was the largest bedroom I had ever seen and we were able to comfortably fit my husband and I and our baby in one room for 2 years. And overall the interior of the apartments are beautiful. It is more homey feeling and less apartment feeling with all of the windows and the natural light. I will stop rambling, but even though we did not leave on good terms (medical issues arise and we had to terminate our lease early giving us some hefty fees), I still recommend this place to anyone looking for a new place to live. It may be pricey but it is well worth it.
I am a current resident at Chandler's Bay. I made it clear that the car stall that was assigned to me was too small the day I viewed the unit. The car stall assigned to me was for a compact vehicle, and I drive a standard mid-sized SUV. Management told me they could fix this, no problem. They have issued me three covered parking spaces that were already issued to other residents. Stating the mistake was due to a change in parking system. In my opinion, there was no new parking system other than someone just now starting to keep track of parking. To this day, I still do not have a parking space, is limiting me as to how long I can be away from home, and restricting me to when I can go places. This inconveniences have lead me to have a strong lack of trust in the management team and ownership of Chandler's Bay in their abilities to management effectively.
I have lived at Chandler's Bay for going on 3 years now and I love it! The clubhouse was just redone and it's amazing. Plus the staff is super nice.
My partner and I have lived at Chandlers Bay for 6 years and even despite an ownership change the complex has kept a real feeling of community. The staff are great and quick to respond to maintenance requests. Regards,
