Property Ratings at Charleston Court
First of all I must say that I lived in a lot of places around the world so I spot quickly how the apartment and aria is. I found out while living at Charleston court, their location is perfect. Walking distance from Roswell road where you have all the stores you need, top rated restaurants, beauty salons and lots more. Living in Charleston Court Apartments gives you the opportunity to live in a peaceful and calm community and still has all the conveniences and shopping at walking distance. Like most us, living in a clean, safe, bug/pest free place is very important and is the first we look out for when searching for an apartment. When my husband and I started living at Charleston Court the apartment was clean and made me feel safe right away. No roached or any other bug, and they told me from the beginning that they have a pest control that keeps on top of it to avoid any pest problem. They really do a great job in keeping bugs and pest away. The complex has these courtyards full with nice plants and trees. It has several BQ's places so you can enjoy. The pool is great because you can use it with your exercise and daily workout, and I must compliment Charleston court because the pool is year round open and is always always clean. This place is great for kids, safe, and lots of good schools nearby. Thank you Charleston Court, a well deserved 5***** Given to you by a satisfied renter!
Living at Charleston Court is great! The complex is conveniently located for shopping and entertainment. Everything is only minutes away. Complex management is super responsive to all questions and requests. The maintenance department is timely, efficient, and effective. You can't ask for more!
I would give zero stars if it was an option. The 2 inch long roaches. The poor quality of the apartment. The terribly management staff. Rats roaming at night. The roaches will come into your apartment not about cleanliness they will get in your apt. I didn't own a dog, took my shoes off before I walked into the rest of my place and they have not released the deposit. You think the negative reviews are fake they are not. The management is unprofessional.
This Apartment Complex is a lot of things but what it advertises is not one. They have recently removed all but two dog areas, the floors and walls are incredibly thin (you hear everything your neighbors do and I mean EVERYTHING even in the middle of the night it wakes you up!!!), and rent is incredibly high for old cabinets, old floors, and old everything. AGAIN THEY ARE NOT PET FRIENDLY!!! The GIANT ROACHES are a whole different breed of pest, they come into your home from outside SOMEHOW, so it doesn't matter how clean you are!! The rent prices are not worth it, you can go down the street in either direction and get a much better apartment for the same money. The best part is the maintenance staff, the manager is clueless, the staff try's but if the management is so poor what can they do? Do not let them tell you "The review is from a past resident who recently moved and is disgruntled", NO! I live here and currently and trapped in a long lease! DO NOT DO IT!! They do not care about the residents or the interior of the apartments, just as long as the grounds look nice right? If I could give this place 0 stars I would, I'm telling you if you have options and a pet please DO NOT MOVE HE. LIKE REALLY, DO NOT MOVE HERE!! IT IS PAST BAD!! Very few people stay longer than a year and if you move here you will see why.
This is a great complex, pet friendly , quiet complex, i have enjoyed my experience so far.. vanity is more then helpful in assisting with your needs if your interested.
This apartment complex, if you can even call it that, has rude staff working there, horrible customer service and Lie about everything. My work orders have not been completed since I have moved in and they just don’t care. The elevator has broke multiple times and so have the gates. They charge you for things that don’t exist and have horrible rude staff. DO NOT MOVE HERE! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNEF
Charleston Court is an absolute joke! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. The front gate is always broken, a constant issue of roaches around the buildings, you can literally hear every footstep from neighbors. My room mate and I had a tiny tare in the carpets in one bedroom so they decided to put a brand new carpet in the whole apartment which they made us pay for, a few holes in wall from photos we had up which were resealed and they decided they needed to repaint the whole apartment which again they made us pay for. So basically when you move out you will have to pay for everything that they decide does not look brand new after living there for 12 months or more.
Been here about a week and it’s just what I expected. The staff was very courteous and prompt with responses to questions. Had a small maintenance issue that was fixed the same day. The only issue is that the floors are thin so you can hear the renters above but otherwise nice and quiet.
This is the worst place to live in Apartments are tiny to mid size One on the bedroom in 2 Bedroom apartment is facing in corridor. Gym is always get interrupted with high noise by private coaching classes. Bathtubs are noisy. Floors are weak, make lot of noise. Only advantage is covered parking.
This apartment complex has really gone down hill. I have lived here for five years, and have never experienced such a rude management staff. The manager hung the phone up on me when I was trying to fulfill a simple request. The grounds are unkept and the place is falling apart. I enjoyed the property for the first two years, and things have really changed since James is no longer the manager. The new manager Erin is not professional or helpful. I wouldn’t recommend this place.
Overall a good place to live. my husband and I have lived here for almost a year. I have read some complains about moving out and not getting your deposit back. We have not moved out yet, but will be moving out in a couple of months, so will update this review then. The staff is very nice and if you put in a request for something to get fixed they get it fixed pretty quickly. The management staff changes pretty frequently, but everyone I have dealt with has been very nice. I think the apartments are a little overpriced, but they do include your sewage and water bill into your rent. They do have a roach problem, but mostly on the grounds not really inside the apartment. We only saw a hand full in our apartment, but A LOT around the pool area and hallways at night in the summer. I have always felt safe, but last week there was a car in the garage that had all 4 wheels stolen. There are cars that are often abandoned in the garage, but i am not sure where that comes from.
Make sure to call about availability. Even though their site says "available now," when I went to look at places they didn't have anything available for another couple weeks.
Omg, the roaches are taking over!! You literally have to run to your apartment at night!
Nice neighborhood other than that, not the best place to live. Management is a joke and maintenance is a joke. Leasing agents are hardly there and the office is often closed which makes getting packages extremely difficult. If you don't mind wasting your $200 on illegitimate security deposits then this place is for you. My recommendation would be literally any apartment complex on Glenridge Dr.
My place is really nice. Up to date appliances, gas cooking - granite counter tops, cool lighting - very spacious -excellent location - great management.
Nice location. Close to shopping and the freeway. Pet friendly.
While this apartment is in a great location living here has been a bit of a hassle. There are only elevators at one building so if you live in the other 90% of the complex you will not have access to it so moving things and doing otherwise simple tasks like walking your dog or grocery shopping becomes tedious having to go up and down three flights of stairs! General up-keep of the building is not maintained very well either so the complex loses its "Charleston Charmingness". Also if you live on the first or second floor be prepared to hear every movement from the people above you. That being said the apartment is in a great location (easy access to 285 and 400) and the layout is very inviting and spacious. Overall it has been a decent place to live!
Charleston Court Apartments has been a fantastic home for my wife and I. Great location located near 285 and 400 with many restaurants and parks nearby. The staff is friendly and the grounds are very well maintained. Unlike other apartments in the area, it has a fantastic fitness center with commercial-grade cardio and strength equipment.
I've lived here since April 2013 because we have been dealing with the city of sandy springs to build our house and it has taken ALOT longer than we thought. I live below the property manager. The building is built so poorly that I hear every move they make, when they vacuum, when they shower, even when they flush the toilet. The grounds have never been updated as promised when I moved in, I still have black spray paint all over my patio. The rent keeps going up on this horrible place and I can't wait to move out! I would never recommend this place to anyone!!! Do not waste your money!! Pay the extra $200 and live somewhere much nicer!!
If you decide to move in to Charleston Court, makes sure you cover your bases. I would advise you do the following: 1. Get a copy of that move-in checklist ASAP, and make sure you agree with it 100%. The office staff will try to not give you a copy, so they can hold anything against you when you move out. They will also assure you anything you see is "ok" and they'll "document" it, but they won't write anything on the sheet. 2. Do everything in your power to schedule a walk-through of the apartment before you leave. This will be difficult, because the manager, Michael, is rarely visible to tenants. He will evade almost all attempts to schedule a walk through, or give you the oddest times, only so they can later send you an outstanding notice charging you for things like carpet stains that were there when you moved in, or a full carpet replacement fee for 6 year old carpet that simply sustained regular wear and tear; charges they should pay for. My time at this complex was not very good. The buildings are in serious need of maintenance. The structural integrity is suspect; you see wood shutters falling off all over the place, the ceilings over the outside walkways cave-in. The single air conditioners for 3 bed-room units cause it to run 90% of the day in the summer time. The appliances are nice and up-graded, though. In short: be thorough, and don't trust them if they tell you'll they'll do the right thing, get it in writing, and don't leave any loop holes. Good luck.
This place is a joke. I live on the 3rd floor and the elevator has been out of service for 2 weeks. On top of that, I was told by management that it's going to be out of service for at least a month. No one was notified and when I asked for a credit on my rent due to the inconvenience I was promptly ignored. I wouldn't have moved to a 3rd floor apartment without the use of an elevator as I have bad knees. I understand things happen but management seems disinterested in fixing the elevator quickly or trying to rectify this issue with a credit.
I moved to Charleston Court after living in a larger apartment in Norcross, GA for several years. I was looking for more amenities and a more convenient location. My apartment is small but cozy, with granite counter tops, a wood-burning fireplace (with gas starter), lovely tile in the bath, an efficient kitchen with gas cooking and deep, country sinks, and a nice laundry room. I enjoy the parking garage and the small dog park for my dog. The gym is amazing. My neighbors are friendly but not nosy, and on the few occasions when I've needed maintenance, they have been very responsive. I've just renewed my lease for another year. The population is a nice mix of young professionals and more mature residents. No extremes. I've been very happy here.
