In addition to the beach, Pinellas County has many parks, bike trails, and golf courses available. The Tampa Bay area is full of diverse arts and entertainment attractions for locals to enjoy, from the aquarium in Clearwater to the Dali museum in St. Petersburg to the legendary nightlife in Ybor.
Several schools in the area score very highly, and the close proximity to Eckerd College and the University of South Florida contribute to a strong academic community all around Tampa Bay.

Property Ratings at Charleston on 66th
My apartment is great, I have my place set up like it’s a rock and roll museum. It’s clean and organized, unlike the outside of the apartment. Without exaggerating, literally the entire complex is either disgusting, somewhat broke, and bug infestations. If you think this place is “great” all around, then it must be sunshine and rainbows because it looks awful. The only pros of this place is my apartment and the pool for the most part. I’ve only lived here for almost a year and I learned a lot from this place. There’s no lack of improvement for the issues I stated. You pay a lot of money to live in a place that looks like it was raided by pigpen from Charlie Brown. Thats how bad it is and no I’m not exaggerating or being overdramatic but that’s what the outside feels like. No effort to maintain cleanliness outside my apartment at all. I can write a book about how much this place lacks things. Long story short, mostly everything SUCKS!!!

Do not recommend this complex. Maybe if they went down in rent and you’re actually paying for what you get. We are paying more than what this complex is worth. I feel unsafe living here. Again, you’re not paying for a gated community only a gate to control traffic…
Comunidad agradable. Buena selección de residentes. MUY LIMPIAS LAS INSTALACIONES

To Start off, i don't think i deserve this place. Charleston is an amazing place full of finer things at UNBELIEVABLY reasonable prices. They got community amenities (pool area, game room for parties, a private gym thats got freaking free weights) and heck, they even do community get-togethers at the front area. Like just to do it. The rent prices for what I got is unreal, a 3b2b that ALSO came with most appliances already in it no extra charge. A beautiful scenery around entire complex and most of the Tenants I've seen are just, nice people. So you can understand why i didn't feel like i "should" be here, but Thanks to Melina and Nicholas at the front i changed my outlook immediately. They helped me out and got me set up for Charleston almost too easily and I've been hooked since. The two really helped me out with the move in process and other day to day questions i had after i moved in (i had alot). They made me feel that I do belong here, and i mean for the price i honestly cannot blame them.

They try to sneak in fees where they can. The maintenance sucks. Very dirty in community areas. Smells like dog pee EVERYWHERE.

I lived here for more than three years and only left due to a job relocation. I worked a lot of late nights and never felt unsafe regardless of the time I came home. Parking is a challenge, but the management team put together a plan and continues to tweak it for the betterment of all residents. It's not perfect but it is a lot better than two years ago. The staff is amazing: quick adjustment during COVID-19, quick resolution of maintenance requests, amenities clean (pool area), office staff knowledgeable and communicative (through emails and posting on apartment door). I only had to escalate one issue and that was due to a glitch in software as the site changed their IT system. I moved out-of-state and ended up renting a house because the apartments in my location did not meet the bar set by Charleston 66. I'd highly recommend renting here!

Do not move here without accepting the fact that you cannot have have friends or family over to your residence. There are so few visitor parking spaces, and the few that they have are always filled with the same motorcycles and cars of residents. Your guests will not have a place to park without risk of being towed. The fact is the property was very poorly designed and did not build adequate parking facilities. I’ve had to ask my friends to Uber over to my house because of this. Forget having a party at your house or a holiday celebration. That fundamental normalcy of life is unavailable at Charleston on 66th given the current inept parking situation. A situation that the management has no answer for.

This community is like an oasis. There are no other communities like this one nearby. A lot of places to shop and eat conveniently located. Staffs are very pleasant always smiling.
I think Charleston On 66th is an excellent place to live.
Severe downturn in service, cleanliness and ground upkeep since new management took over less than a week after I moved in (December 2019).
I’ve lived here for a little over a year. I loved living here the first year and that is why I chose to sign another lease (something I have never done). Now this new company has come in and completely changed everything for the worst. We used to have pest control come out regularly without renters having to do anything and that was a nice because I didn’t have to worry about it. Now it’s only if we schedule it ourselves and if the office gives the order to the pest control guy (hasn’t happened in the last two orders I put in). The hallways look dirty, the grounds look disarray, and there is dog poop everywhere. The office is only sending out emails to all renters saying that they must pick up their dogs messes....don’t think that’s working! The office only ever has one person working every time I need to speak with someone and I end up waiting up to 45 minutes. The dog park used to be cleaned regularly and now has only been cleaned once since November and it smells! The parking here was being addressed by previous management but now is being pushed aside and office staff has told me they are not enforcing the parking policy....then why have one! I pay about $1400 for a one bedroom apartment and I never minded it before because previous management was great! Now I can’t wait for my lease to be done to get the hell out of here! Such a shame because it was a beautiful complex!
Management changed recently and what was already a declining complex, has been gaining speed down the drain. It's very noisy along 66th street, which you can't escape. The clientele is going down hill, we get more police calls as time goes on. I was met with 16 police one morning on my way down to my car--someone living here had a warrant. Not the first time. The parking is terrible. The halls are dirty. The car wash bay is always in disrepair. The office is barely open, so hope you don't need anything. You pay a lot for not much. You can hear your neighbors above and below like you live together--nothing the management can do... i'll be happy when my lease is up, just wish i wasn't paying for something i am so unhappy with.
