Property Ratings at Charleston Row Townhomes
To make a long story very short, new management is too overwhelmed to handle any issue. They are hard to get in contact with via phone/email/or tracking down physically in the office. Many units are having AC issues including ours it’s been a multi-month issue. For 5 months the outside unit freezes due to a leak, they patch it up and a month later it refreezes. We’ve been promised a new unit twice, it’s been two months. Our inside AC unit then broke and flooded the third floor, no one answered or was in the office for 3 days, yes it was continuously leaking for 3 days. They did not want to pull up the carpet to allow proper drying, it’ll probably be moldy, and they wanted to paint over wet drywall to name a few of the issues. There’s still many more but you get the gist. Our lease is up soon and I’ve given up on tracking them down. Just avoid the headache!
Just moved in. The property is nice and well maintained. Quiet neighborhood. Close to everything so far so good. Danielle at the leasing office was always helpful and responsive to all questions.
You will love living here! Lots of privacy yet very close to shopping and grocery stores, restaurants, 485 highway, light rail. Responsive management and maintenance. I especially enjoy having a patio and garage.

Thank you for the 5-stars! Hope to see you again soon!
I absolutely love this neighborhood! Little to no nose, traffic in the neighborhood is kept to a minimum. My neighbors were very friendly and welcoming .
Highly recommend this community. Private yet close to all amenities, 485 highway and light rail. Friendly and responsive management and on site maintenance staff is awesome. Work orders are completed very quickly. Landscaping is beautiful and well taken care of. The wooded areas add so much serenity and the development sidewalks make it ideal for walking. Pet friendly! Love living in Charleston Row!
A wonderful place to live! Townhomes are beautifully finished. Grounds are well kept. Maintenance staff are friendly and very responsive to any repair requests. Neighborhood is quiet yet close to a Mall, restaurants, major highways and light rail. Highly recommended!
Great location, very quiet neighborhood, and a garage with every unit are all the pros I can think of for this place. The units themselves are of very low quality that appeared, at first, to be relatively new. Once you move in you, if your experience was anything like mine, may notice various defects in your units. My unit came equipped with water spots on the ceiling from a never fixed leak, an a/c unit that only works for one floor at a time and freezes if you try to have both floors the same temperature, an outside spigot that when ran for more than 30 seconds would flood the kitchen. Just several odd quirks that seem like gross oversight and negligence. It's clear they wanted to move the next family in as soon as possible. No amenities outside of the dog poop stations, not to mention being late on rent is punished to a new level with these guys literally filing eviction notices and court proceedings after 7 days. I know no apartment/townhome agency particularly cares about their tenants but it's rarely this blatant. I highly advised you get your money's worth elsewhere.
This is our second time living at Charleston row. We recently had a surprise ending to an international work assignment that left us homeless and scrambling to find a place to live in the Charlotte area (While we were living in Asia!) We had lived in Charleston row before we left, and reached out to Ryan to see if there was any availability. He was incredibly accommodating and helped us to view units from across the globe. He worked with us to get the paperwork done and taken care of before we even landed. When we arrived all we had to do was sign the lease, give the deposit and misc fees and we were ready to go. Because of him we had a soft landing in the USA when we returned home. I can honestly say it was his professionalism and ability to work through weird situations that helped us in a very difficult time Beyond that, we have always had very good service here. Maintenance is quick and thorough (Chris is awesome!) the units are safe, quiet, and close to everything. We've never heard our neighbors and really feel like this is a great community to live in. We have kids, and there is a little hiking trail just down the street that they love to go walking in the evenings. The units themselves are just about as good as you can get for rental living. very nice, clean, well appointed. nice garages, and little "yards" for the kids to play in, or use to just sit out and grill. Honestly, this couldn't have been a a better situation for us.
Pretty sure this is the first time I've bothered to leave a review for a rental property, but I'm impressed and highly recommend Charleston Row. I just moved out of town after living there for one year. I would have renewed my lease otherwise. The units are stylish and contemporary, the sound insulation is excellent. I never heard neighbors thru the walls. On the rare occasion that there was a problem neighbor in the community, management was incredibly responsive and firm with the offender about complying with the rules. They even have a police officer living on site to deal with issues after hours. After a change in management the same high level of service was retained; it was really seamless. They maintain the property beautifully without being intrusive. They're respectful of privacy. Yet on occasions when I needed to be at work and couldn't meet a service person the office staff was kind enough to stand in for me and allow them entry to my unit, with my permission, while being totally careful not to let my pets escape. There are a couple of quirks, for example some floor plans have driveways that are too short to park in. And the grassy strip between sidewalk and street is too steep and hard to navigate. But those are quibbles 'cause it's a great place. I was especially grateful that after I moved out and cleaned they didn't find excuses to keep part or all of my security deposit. They simply returned it promptly and cheerfully and communicated well with me the entire time. Very nice experience.
No Bbq area, no playground, no customer service at all, 24/6 around the clock construction, just don't plan on washing your car for the next year, homes have water leaks through the roof, faux hardwood floor comes loose and warps after 2-3 months, granite not aligned properly, floors are not leveled properly either, take a tour for yourself and put a ball in the center of the room and watch it roll to a wall, this place is masked with a modern look with the cheapest quality money can buy, all these problems for nearly 2,000$ a month is ridiculous. A/C units outside the homes rumble louder than a battalion of tanks in the Battle of Stalingrad, everything you do is VERY closely monitored and you will be threatened with fines for any and all infractions/mistakes you make, no exceptions.
