Situated in the Texas Panhandle, Amarillo is a definitive product of the Lone Star State, marrying the old and the new with working cattle ranches, the Tri-State Fair and Rodeo, a broad range of diverse cuisine, and a host of modern amenities.
Amarillo preserves its rich history with designated landmarks like the Center City Historic District along Polk Street, Route 66, Llano Cemetery, the Madame Queen locomotive, and the Texas Panhandle War Memorial in addition to extensive exhibits at the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame and Museum and the Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum.
Amarillo is also home to a well-established arts scene anchored by the Amarillo Opera, Amarillo Symphony, Lone Star Ballet, and Amarillo Little Theatre. The eclectic Cadillac Ranch, one of the world’s first roadside sculptures, features ten spray-painted Cadillacs buried nose-down in an Amarillo field off of I-40 as well.

Property Ratings at Chasewood Apartments
Look somewhere else! I've lived here 3 1/2 years. For 3 of those, there's been hot water problems, as in none, off and on continuously. The last time we were 2 1/2 weeks without hot water with no solutions and no accomodations for showers or adjustments to rent. They are responsive to maintenance requests, but long term, the buildings, boilers, pools, and perking lots are failing and falling apart. There seems to be no plans to permanently fix them. I would suggest looking elsewhere. Moving is always SUCH a pain, but at sour lease end, we're going to try somewhere else. I wouldn't rent here again. Look elsewhere.

Hi, Scott. We are sorry to hear that we have not met your expectation during your time here with us. We have very high expectations and take every opportunity to improve. Our most recent water issue earlier this year was extremely unfortunate but regular communication was provided daily to our community with any updates regarding work completed. We tried several other things within our boiler housing just to see if it would help our issue. The boilers were not the source of the last water issue it turned out to be related to several occupied units in need of mixet valve/valve body replacements that were not reported until we had to enter each unit individually to check for needs and crossed lines ourselves. Boilers are not perfect and are always going to involve continued maintenance and upkeep which is something we regularly maintain on a monthly basis along with our boiler tech. As for our pool area and parking lots those are upkept on as needed basis. Parking lot work has been completed almost yearly on spots as needed during my 8 years here managing Chasewood. Please get in touch with us at 806-358-7278 if we can further assist you. Thank you, Kristen Property Manager
Staff rude with constant passive aggressive emails and text complaining about residents while not fixing multiple issues. Had to get a hotel twice because they shut down the water and then hired someone who couldnt fix it. Dog crap everywhere. Pool routinely closed. Every time neighbor walks above me it sounds like the celling is caving in. Catalytic converter stolen in parking lot.

We are sorry to hear of your issues here with us at Chasewood Apartments. Our monthly e-mails and text messages are used as reminders to help prevent various maintenance related issues (clogged toilets, backed up disposals, pet waste, pool issue etc.) Unfortunately, water shuts offs are mandatory in order to maintain the property and finish work orders needing completed in occupied apartments. There are instances where an emergency shut down is forced or work must be completed on the boilers that doesn't always allow for a planned shut off, but we've always made sure to get water back up and running as quickly as possible given the circumstances. We have worked very hard with communicating monthly to our pet owners that picking up after their pets is a job that never ends. We encourage each and every resident to do their part and also have our maintenance team pick up as they perform morning grounds duties. Our pool is always closed 1 day a week for routine maintenance and further closures would be related to a chemical/water imbalance or a violation of one of the pool rules forcing a shut down until requirements are met to reopen safely. Our courtesy officer is available after hours for any noise/apartment related issue you may have if you need further details on this process please contact the office and we'd be happy to help you out. If we can further assistant you regarding your review we'd ask you please come to the office to help work out any remaining matters. Thank you
The pool is fantastic and is always a great time. The apartments are updated which is nice. If there is ever a maintenance issue it is always promptly taken care of with a smile. I have lived at other apartment complexes and was never taken care of like the staff does here. It is a great location and within walking distance to some great restaurants and within minutes away of United and Walmart. The hospital district is just down the street too. I definitely give them 5 stars.
If you have the money to live somewhere else, I would definitely recommend it. The rent is reasonable and the office people are nice, but the apartments are old and it definitely shows. They turn the water off every other week and there’s days where my apartment doesn’t have any hot water at all. My air conditioning broke in the middle of summer and they didn’t consider it an emergency since my apartment was under 90 degrees, which is unbearably hot. I was forced to find somewhere else to stay until they fixed it. When they did fix it, they fixed it incorrectly, causing my bathroom ceiling to come crashing down in the middle of the night due to a leak. The next summer, the air conditioning was still leaking significantly. There is entirely too much assigned parking and not near enough parking for any guests you may want to have. Overall, they’re not the worst apartments but you can definitely see their age and that they’re starting to fall apart. If you have the option to rent elsewhere, I would highly consider it.
doesn't have dog section like they say! and you can only have one guest at the pool. if you want a good time dont recommend
My apartment is wonderful here you have a caring staff. you also have plenty of storage. in the two bedroom two bath, you have two walk in closets. storage on the balcony and you have two linen closets one that can be used as a pantry. the grounds are well cared for. and the maintenance crew are very good at what they do. The Master bedroom is large enough to have a king size bed two night stands dresser, chest of draws and small entertainment center. Great to be living here at the chasewood apartments.
I've lived in these apartments for two years. And honestly with the exception of only one bad neighbor I love living here. When something breaks they fix it immediately and there I always some one in the office except on Sundays but you can still call if you have any problems the price for the part of town and size of the apt aren't bad. They do need more guest parking but that aside I love it. No break ins, easy maintnence, awesome neighbors I don't hear, and friendly staff.
