Property Ratings at Chasewood Gates
Mediocre apartment, old and dirty buildings. The clubhouse is the only area that's clean and that's probably because staff work there. They don't care about the condition of the apartments. Walls are extremely thin. If you live in a parking lot facing apartment you will hear noise all hours of the night from residents who like being loud during the overnight hours. Think 100% smoke free community means you won't smell smoke wafting into your apartment, think again. Residents are allowed to smoke right outside units so in addition to hearing the social smokers and there are many here, you will smell their smoke. Management puts out notices for petty things and doesn't address major issues including strong Marijuana smells and suspicious activity. My unit was also supplied with an old Washer that wasn't serviced resulting in a flooded apartment.
The sales process was fantastic; from there, the level of care and respect we received plummeted. Every request felt like it was a bother or unwanted and was often met with very distasteful interaction. Any explanation we requested was almost always met with some variation of "because that's how we do it." The units look great; the management (both local management and AtHome corporate management) makes them not worth the price or location!
When we first arrived at Chasewood Gates we were greeted with amazing service. They had everything all organized and planned out when we arrived to make our moving experience smooth. Even after finding some minor issues they had maintenance come out the next day to fix it for us. If you are looking for a dog friendly neighbor this is your place! We had a decent size area for our dog to play in and from time to time had doggie dates outside with the neighbors. We have never had any complaints about our Chasewood Gate and if we did the staff was already on it. This place is hands down the best we ever rented. We enjoyed our stay and definitely recommend this place to everyone. The pricing may seem a bit expensive but it is so worth the cost of living at Chasewood. You won't regret your decision.
The units at Chasewood Place, whether you are renting from an owner or from the company are generally pretty clean. So when you walk in to any of the buildings, they smell clean, look clean as well as the ground are very well taken care of. The amenities provided by the property are also very clean and nice. The gym is smaller, but does offer what you need. The pool is very well taken care of and so is the community room. Really the only thing I don't like about this place is how well sound travels through the buildings. They're definitely not sound proofed. You cannot hear anyone talking, but sometimes I can hear a neighbor snore, or hear people walking above. Most of the neighbors are good people. There are just a handful of sketchy people but you'd find that anywhere. Almost everyone has a dog here, so if you have one, you'll fit right in! I'd definitely move here again if I had to do it over again. I've been very happy with this place and is one of the best places I've lived in. I've lived in 5 apartments since college and it's by far my favorite.
