If you want to live close to Indianapolis but not in the middle of the hustle and bustle of a large city, Millersville is the place for you. The neighborhood lies northeast of the city, just 12 short minutes from downtown Indianapolis when driving. Millersville is a large village tucked away in the Fall Creek Valley. It consists of several smaller neighborhoods, but the village is a close-knit community offering a variety of special events. Residents enjoy walking and biking the Fall Creek Trail, which leads to Fort Benjamin Harrison State Park.
Millersville can also be a great home to people who love being surrounded by nature. The many lakes here such as Lake Kesslerwood and Mallard Lake add beauty to the neighborhood and encourage residents to go out and explore the land. A group called Millersville at Fall Creek Valley Inc. has set out to help preserve and promote the natural beauty and history of the neighborhood.

Property Ratings at Chateau De Ville
I can honestly say that our 4-year stay has been nice. The office staff have been nice and prompt about any concerns. Jenny, officer manager, is super helpful with my concerns that I've had and even reached out to check on our family when she had heard there was an ambulance in the area. Some of the maintenance staff could use work. I'll leave it at that. The community is great. Our neighbors are the absolute best. Very welcoming, warm and pretty quiet. While taking walks, people speak and wave. Something as small as that makes the experience nice. Overall, I don't have complaints. We're a growing family so we're forcing ourselves to leave eventually but this apartment community has been great for us.
We lived at Chateau Deville for two years. The apartments are old, moldy and musty smelling. The management changed several times over the course of the two years and policies would change constantly. When we moved out (finally), we were charged $1000 to replace the carpet for "pet damages and stains". We did have ONE dog living with us over the course of two years that is SEVEN years old and never once had an accident in the house. We know that for a fact. When calling about the charges that we were given, they said that they would send pictures of the so called "stains" which they did. But, the pictures are no proof that it is OUR carpet or from our pet. We know for a fact that our pet never went to the bathroom in the house, so there is no way we have stains from a pet. We were good tenants for over 2 years. Always paid rent on time. Always cleaned up after ourselves and our pet and never caused issues. I'm very disappointed in the charges that we were given because we had paid a deposit when we moved in as well as $30/month for a pet fee that essentially went to nothing. It's tough when you've been a good tenant, not damage anything, and get punished for something that you know didn't happen. We will never rent from them again or recommend anyone to do the same. You will get screwed in the end which just isn't fair. Beware when choosing a new place to live!
If you are looking for place to move Chateau De Ville is NOT the place to move. Don't be fooled by the model they show you. Yes the apartment is very out dated. I moved into a 3bedroom less than 24hrs my family n I was bite by fleas! (Never in my life own a pet) I contact them the next day to report the problem and it took them 1week to send the company to spray. In the meantime my had over 25 bites per person. I contact corporate because I had a 2month old who was also bite and she informed me there's nothing she can do. She than stated I could of brought them with me. Im telling her I never owned a animal and thia happen less than 24hrs. She didnt care nor did she trust what I was saying like I would LIE! Problem number 1. Than 3weeks later I had a musty odor in my bathroom come to find out its Mold! I haven't lived in my apartment no more than 45days and I'm having major issues. Not to mention they really don't care about their residents. Lastly my car was broken into week of Thanksgiving. Went out side and it was over 15cars broken into. We were informed by police that the week before they were called out to same complex for another mass car break in. Not once were we informed about the break ins. Do NOT MOVE OVER HERE. ITS NOT WORTH THE PRICE AND THE TROUBLE! I never lived somewhere so uncomfortable in my life. If you want to provide a good and safe place for your family Look else where! Trust Me!
I have been living at this apartment complex now for 3 years and this last year has been by far the worst. The apartment itself is outdated and has plenty of plumbing and electrical issues. While the office staff is helpful and friendly, the maintenance crew here is not. I seem to have to keep calling about the same issues over and over again and it gets very old very fast. Recently I have had the same plumbing issue twice that have officially ruined the carpets and the best solution they came up with was to just shampoo them and not dry them out causing them to smell afterwards and I still cannot get it out. It is a very frustrating living arrangement. I also feel as if this place is way too overpriced for what they are offering you. I recommend looking elsewhere.
Wonderful place to live, courteous staff, responsive and knowledgeable maintenance, and reasonable rent. Currently expanding facilities...it's just great here.
We are renting a 3 bedroom townhouse from Chateau De Ville and couldn't be happier with it. The style of the buildings is different than any other apartment complex we've rented from, and although it's next to a busier road (Binford Boulevard) it doesn't seem like it. Maintenance is always quick to fix whatever the problem may be, and the office staff is incredibly helpful. Our apartment is located between two other apartments; if there are loud noises/music/washers or dryers running - you will hear it, but not much. The apartments are an older build, but they're doing a LOT of reconstruction in updating the apartments themselves, as well as the grounds. They are currently working on a water scape, new pool/parking, and a new playground - which is perfect for families like ours. Granted, the updating of the apartments most likely won't take away the ability to hear the louder noises, but it is nice to know that they're updating. As far as the price goes, especially in the area - you do get a lot of bang for your buck. We currently have a 3 bedroom 2.5 bath townhouse (1450 sq feet) for the same price as a 2 bed 2 bath flat (1003 sq foot) in our old apartment. The local area is quite nice as well. The state fairgrounds are less than 3 minutes away, several grocers in the area, and Castleton Mall is a 10 minute drive. There aren't many sidewalks in the area (outside of the complex), but with busier roads - I'm not sure it'd be too safe anyway. If you're looking for a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city while still in it - Chateau De Ville Apartments are a great find.
I've been living here for about a year and a half and have generally enjoyed it very much. The buildings are pretty old, so if you prefer new appliances/fixtures and renovated spaces, this isn't the place for you. However, it has tons of vintage charm and the apartments are HUGE for the price. The people at the office are very friendly and helpful and are quick to fix issues when they arise - which they sometimes do, because again, old buildings. Last year the place came under new management and I feared things would change for the worse, but so far it's only gotten better. Rents didn't go up too much, same friendly staff, and they're finally building a fitness center. I have only two minor complaints: 1. Walls are very thin. It can be hard to sleep in in the mornings when there's work being done outside, for example. 2. If you live on the other side of the complex from the trash disposal, you have to drive or walk your trash bags all the way over there, which is a pain. Overall, I've loved living here. It's a great value for the price, staff is good, neighborhood is lovely. Would recommend.
