Property Ratings at Chateau D'Oro Apartments
Avoid. The property is barely maintained. Elevator is broken half the time and strange noises throughout the buildings interior walls. In addition, the property policies make moving in very difficult. Moving trucks are not allowed in their parking lots. You will have to carry your furniture from the sidewalk, up several flights of stairs (furniture not allowed in elevator) and through the halls to your unit. Pros: It’s cheap. Cheap for good reason. Avoid.
Worst experience ever! The property managers are not responsive and their phone line is a joke, it sends you straight to the voicemail all the time. From reviewing the other reviews I’m surprised I was actually able to set up an appointment. However, when I got to the property, Debra the property manager was not even onsite. If you want to waste your time, go check them out!
I'm new to the area, it's my first apartment, and I've been here for about 6 months. I like that it's a quiet clean place. It seems like the maintenance crew is always mopping, sweeping, cleaning the pool, etc. My apartment is a good size and I have a washer/dryer which is a real time saver for me. Management has been pretty good about helping me with little repairs and any questions I had about the area. I like my neighbors, they are super friendly and I have a cozy feeling here.
Lots of issues and lots of resident complaints. Too expensive for a small space.
We have lived at these apartments for 4 years. We currently rent there 1 bedroom unit. Since we've been here, we have had 3 different apartment managers. Let's begin with the outside of the apartments. They need some paint work, when you drive up to the apartments you can see that they have some peeled paint. It is on a hill so the apartments look as if they are crooked. There is lots of green around the front part as well as a bus stop right next to us. The neighborhood is really nice although we have had our cars broken into twice. The apartment complex is nice inside. They do have their own cleaning crew that comes about twice a week. They recently changed the hallway from carpet to fake wood floors. They did a bad job because the wood is lifted up and not flat on the floor. The hallway is super noisy because it now echos like crazy since they took the carpet out. You literally gear every single footstep. The entrance of the complex gets flooded every year with the rain. The apartment itself is old. Painted over and over again and the carpets are dirty and smelly. Mind you they are now changing every available apartment to the fake wood so they can charge more. They are pretty spacious. There is lots of closet space and cabinets to store your things. The balcony have been switched recently. They put more bars to make it "child safe". The balcony is old though and shakes if you jump on it. There is a pool that is freezing cold but it actually feels nice when it gets real hot and it does get hot. The weather is great! The laundry room is small and the dryers don't really do the job unless you put double of what they usually are which is $1.25. The neighbors are really nice and everyone respects everyone else else and mind there own buisness. The manager is nice but lags on taking care of broken items or complaints. Also the walls are super thin so if you live on grown floor you hear EVERYTHING! It's insane. I think these apartments are over priced and they put up your rent every 12 months. They haven't changed a thing in our apartment yet our rent keeps rising. I would say look for something better because these apartments are not worth the price.
