Wappingers Falls is a small suburban village positioned just south of Poughkeepsie on the banks of Wappinger Creek. The Historic District covering much of the village center includes exquisite examples of vintage architecture dating back to the 18th century, including Civil War-era row houses, the pre-Revolutionary Mesier-Brewer House, and the Grinnell Library, one of the oldest libraries in the state.
A small commercial district of popular eateries, shops, and neighborhood bars surrounds the intersection of Market and Main Streets, with the lovely Mesier Park right down the block. The local rental market includes a variety of apartments, condos, and houses both in town and in the surrounding countryside, giving you numerous options to find the perfect place for you.

Property Ratings at Chelsea Ridge
Too expensive for what you get. Good luck having any polite interactions with any staff at the management office. We were shown an apartment that was identical to one becoming available weeks later. They put us into an apartment that was more expensive and had a washer/dryer combo we did not want last minute. We had no choice but to take it. Thats just the beginning of many issues with them lying. We were met every step of the way with attitude. Only plus: maintenance fixed things quickly and they were all professional.
This place is the worst This place is terrible, Management sucks. First week of me moving here laundry facility didn’t work in none of the locations! The apartments here are old, the floors make noise every step you take, the apartments are small not worth the money, when moving in the carpet was flat and dirty dog next door barks none stop. Never again! Will not be renewing my lease.

My fiancé and I lived at Chelsea for 2 years. The first year we had absolutely no issues. The second year was terrible. The first issue we had upon renewing our lease, were pests. This is where I learned what a carpet beetle was. Their hairs cause an allergic reaction on your skin , leaving redness and bumps. I contacted management. They has such a laid back attitude about it, I had to take matters into my own hands looking up ways to get rid of them turning my whole apartment upside down. I had to wait two weeks for someone to put some residual down that only serves as a repellent. Although I got rid of them on my own for the time being my apartment wasn’t the issue. I noticed they were in the hallway too and all they did was spray. No exterminator to actually get rid of them. We actually had this issue twice. It was terrible. The second problem we had were the neighbors. I wish I could go into detail about this one but I would be here for hours. Our neighbors gave us A LOT of issues . Not your typical disputes but weird annoying direct disturbances. I’ll put it this way, I had to call the cops several times due to a couple different neighbors because of safety issues. When I brought it to managements attention they could care less. This was probably the biggest issue. Unfortunately, management dealt with it poorly as well. The little kiddie park is so dirty and disgusting and it’s next to a wooded area which is creepy . There’s blunt wrappers and graffiti. Took my niece there and left in 5 minutes. Last but not least we ended up seeing used needles outside by the tennis courts, which finally put the cherry on top of why we didn’t renew our lease. After experiencing all of that, along with the annual rent increase, it simply isn’t worth it. Not even a little bit. There are so many nicer places that have updated appliances and you don’t have to go through what we went through. Yes, the wine store was cool and the gym , even the deli, but not at the expense of the daily stress. I did not feel safe there. ESPECIALLY if you have kids . I would not recommend renting here.

Lived here for 3 years, in a decent apartment with a beautiful view. Maintainance was always quick to come when called, very efficent and friendly. Office staff was always available, helpful and friendly also.

If you’re looking for someone to settle down don’t bother they give no reason and send you a non renewal of lease notification. Pros Spacious apts packages never messed with and maintenance always on call. Cons rat problem sometimes, smell of smoke everywhere, mold on bathroom ceiling, also numerous clogged tubs and sinks. Snow removal is mediocre. Also unpleasant, unprofessional, office staff namely Shannon and Jessica. Just my experience over the phone with them.
At first glance, with a pretty front entrance fountain, a little shopping center and presentable leasing office Chelsea Ridge seems like it would be the perfect place to live. Unfortunately, how Chelsea Ridge presents itself isn't how it actually is. Management has no control, or chooses not to intervene, in issues between noisy/rude/disrespectful neighbors. People do not pick up after their dogs and the dog park is covered in poison ivy. Parking is extremely difficult. Smoking is permitted inside apartments which leaves a horrible smell. There are known drug dealers within the complex that most people avoid and there are drunk college aged kids throwing obnoxious parties. Please know what you are getting into before signing a lease with Chelsea Ridge. I wish I had.
We recently moved out of Chelsea Ridge after purchasing our first home. We lived there for a little over 4 years and it only got better over time. The office and maintenance staff were always helpful, professional, and just great people overall. After living in multiple residences and communities in 3 different states over the last 15 years, I can tell you that they are one of the best and priced very reasonably. The grounds are landscaped nicely and has a park-like feel. The amenities are nice and well-maintained. (I recently visited a friend who still lives there and saw they are currently renovating the pool.) I truly can't say enough about how pleasant our experience was while living there. Sure there are always going to be some hiccups or bad neighbors that come and go, but overall we loved living there and miss it, especially the very helpful maintenance team (Veronica, John, and Brian in particular) and all the ladies in the office (special thanks to Jessica, Shannon, and Anne)!
Visited here recently looking for a place. Good location and amenities and friendly staff. Complex seemed well maintained.
Chelsea Ridge is a nice apartment complex. My apartment is very spacious and it is usually very quiet. There is plenty of parking, access to the pool and gym is a plus. If you have a maintenance issue, they come very quickly to resolve it all maintenance staff are great. The office staff is extremely nice, helpful and professional, which is a plus! My apartment was very clean when I moved in including the carpets. I would highly recommend Chelsea Ridge.
We love living here's! It's a very family and friendly oriented place! I also love that it's dog friendly and they even have a dog park!!! All the girls in the office are so friendly which to me is a big plus! Apartment are clean! We just love it here
I lived here a little over year now in the Chelsea Cay section, which they consider "The Chelsea" style apartments. They are all one bedroom apartments in this section. Apartments are nice and up to date. All concrete and brick so they are also quiet. If maintenance is needed they are quick to respond and resolve the issue. The grounds overall are very nice and park like. I have walked around the entire complex many times and it is nice and quiet all over. Also very convenient that there is a Deli/Pizzeria, Liquor store, dry cleaners and I believe a hair salon within walking distance right next to the main rental office. I have yet to use the pool but it looks like a nice area.
I love my apartment! It has a lot of space and is very nice. This is my first apartment and I LOVE IT!!!
would not recommend this place. It looks like it would be nice but it's really dumpy. Bathroom pipes don't drain, brown water often, loud neighbors & drug dealers. Smoking is allowed inside the apartments so it seeps through the walls and floors into your house. No one picks up after their pets, the doors don't shut properly in the main entrance. Mail is not treated with respect, we found it in the community flyer bin. Overall... I would never ever ever want anyone I know or love to live here. OH and they have never returned a security deposit.
Not bad apartments they just werent to clean upon arrival, paint all over the floors, balcony area not repainted, and kitchen bathroom needed to be cleaned also. On a good note the maintance and management were pretty compliant with the notifications of unclean areas. Overall they're not bad apartments. They also have a shopping mart, deli, pool, and fitness center on premises.
Recently my wife and I moved into our first apartment. While we were excited about starting our lives together as well as flourishing in our independence we were nervous as well. How could we be sure the apartment would be a good move, a good location, financially doable over time?! Well our fears were assuaged the moment we moved in. The apartment was spacious, comfortable and in a great location. As someone who lived in the same place for 26 years I was particularly nervous of the move but I am happy to say that it was one of the best decisions I could have made. I would recommend Chelsea Ridge apartments to anyone.
