Property Ratings at Chelsea Village
Huge lack of communication and basic job duties. Multiple things broken and destroyed upon move in that took months to fix, along with Multiple issue still unattended too. You can never get ahold of anybody, no manager on site, Actual manager is disrespectful and that's if you ever get a call/message back.
The manager showed lack of communication, would send texts messages with unprofessional wording and would say they were approved one minute then the next deny. Was told the circumstances and understood them. I would not recommend anyone to rent from this manager.
Do not waste your time and patience here. While my partner and I lived at Chelsea Village (4 years), management turned over three times, but it was never for the better. It is currently owned by Windermere and communication is worse than ever before. First off, it was always incredibly loud. Noisy neighbors fighting or blasting music in their car outside, kids and babies screaming and running around at all hours of the day. Twice we had maintenance requests that were not met for a month or longer (once for washing machine, once for dishwasher). Often times, it is incredibly difficult to get a hold of anyone for help, as the office was usually closed and emails would go unanswered (about 5 different emails listed on lease, website, etc., most never responded). Also, getting mail at this place was ridiculous. I often had packages never come or get put in the wrong mailbox, or stolen from the doorstep. I had to start sending all mail to my parents house after year 1. On top of all this, there isn't a lot of crack down on pets, and there is often dogs running around without a leash and poop all over the walkways. Parking was always an issue, and there wasn't much to be done if someone parked in your spot. While there is a bus stop very close, accessibility could easily be made better if there were sidewalks that led into Smokey Point, instead it's just a dirt path. A very frustrating place to live, but it was the best we could get for the price at the time. Rent went up over $400 in the years we were there, and it was getting unrealistic for us.
I have never felt so disrespected in my own place of residence. Management has intruded my unit many times while disregarding the 24 hour notice policy. Not to mention snooping around my personal business. I have talked to other Tennants and this is a common theme for her. Meddling in personal affairs and going as far as having other tennants that she has a blatant bias towards, spy on myself and the other tennants. This makes living here extremely uncomfortable. On another note. The property manager disregards policy with animals and has 3 dogs when policy states that the maximum is 2. The other tennants and myself feel she has an "above the law" type of attitude and tries to push out those who speak against her. Please do not live here while she is ruining the place.
Management is horrible, takes weeks to get things fixed. They'll say that they called and knocked when really they don't. Communication is bad will tell different stories to different people. Wouldn't recommend moving here.
The owners and managment here are douchebags! Their washer malfunctioned and had flooded a small piece of the dining room and they had the nerve to the black mail me into signing a contract stating that I would pay $1236 for the water damage for them to renew my lease! How is a tenant responsible for the landlords appliances?? Good question huh! I have all proof in emails and texts between Courtney, Jenn and Brinda.
These young homes are nice and the people around are great .the only down side is the parking .plus the rent is a little high
It's a great place to live close to senior center and grocery shopping and a kids park near by .they have two and three bedroom units .some three bedroom units have connected garages .
