Property Ratings at Chenal Place
This is the absolute worst apartment community that I have ever lived in. The office staff is unprofessional and rude. The maintenance is horrible. The property management is totally incompetent. There is no guaranteed parking for the tenants, even though we pay the overpriced rent to live here. Some of the tenants let their dogs crap on the grass and they don't clean it up. They have to shut the water off to the entire complex every couple of weeks, because of the bad plumbing system. My apartment always smells like marijuana, even though I don't smoke it. DO NOT waste your time with this place!
If I could leave zero stars I definitely would. Absolutely the worst apartments I’ve ever lived in. I experienced both alive & dead rodents in the walls on numerous occasions, Flooding, crime, multiple unanswered maintenance requests, terrible appliances, mildew/mold, etc etc. Anything bad that could happen did. Then on top of that, they basically ally kicked me out when it was time to renew my lease because they said I hadn’t turned in a lease renewal that was never even sent. The dishwasher and appliances had to have come from a thrift store because they were trash. I moved here because the rent was cheap but now the extra $500 I spend each month at my new place is definitely worth every penny. If you can avoid living here please do. Save yourself the trouble. Chenal Place is a no go.
I have lived at Chenal Place for less than two years and it hasn't been the best. The prices are good for the area, but the management is lacking a positive attitude and compassion. I feel that tenants should be treated more respectfully considering if it weren't for them there would be no staff. There are kids running around the parking lot unsupervised damaging fire extinguishers, which is a huge safety concern. There are no security cameras on the property at all. The complex only offers a dog park and pool for amenities. The dumpster areas are overflowing and trashy too often. When submitting a service request it has taken over 4 days for it to be completed. Overall my expectations have not been during my time here.
Management sucks and we don’t have any maintenance out here .. Everyday my car has new damage and there are still no cameras after years of complaints !! My apartment have flooded at least a good 5 times and I haven’t even been here 2 years .. The children are always outside unsupervised at late hours of the day and like to play on our door and once again, nothing was done about it ! They lie so much about fixing things but it takes them months .. This is unacceptable for someone who is pay all this money to you all faithful and I won’t dare recommend these apartments to my worst enemy !
If you want your water to be shutoff often then be my guest. Took 8 months for them to check my stove when I called maintenance. Also took them months to come fix my sink. It way too expensive to live here with the lack of service they have
This place is horrible. Management sucks Maintenance sucks. Everything about this place sucks. Take your money elsewhere no where near worth it. Everything is outdated. You never can get anything fix. Management don’t know how to communicate. This was the worse decision ever to move here. Will be leaving ASAP taking my money where it’s worth it. It’s not safe to have kids leaving here. It’s been a shoot out at the apartments since that happens I’ve heard mode gun shots after that.

I’ve only been here 4 months and the whole time I’ve been out here nothing has been right, fixed, up to pare. I have multiple water leaks, they say they’ll fix it and nothing has been done unless I call them which still fixes nothing. If you are looking to move here I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT TO. They may look good but the they are not in a safe living condition, especially if you have any young children, which I do and it is frustrating trying to manage how you live with multiple maintenance issues.

As always thank you for your honest feedback. Please contact the office today, so that I may get any work orders you have taken care of immediately.
DO NOT RENT THEIR Very bad experience and the management told me they cannot help me. Since I start renting their I always pay my rent in advance with money order. this month I decided to pay my rent online since I cannot keep my receipt. I did pay and today I just received an email from them telling me my payment did not go through for Non Sufficient Fund. I went to see the management since I had enough money on my account and they told me I put a wrong account number so they charge me $120 for that. I asked them to show me what was the account number I put they were unable to tell me and they said they do not have this information. I asked them who has it ? the answer was NOBODY has it. So they charge me for nothing since they cannot prove I put a wrong acct #. I REALLY DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU THIS PLACE
I've been here two months and I'm out of more money than I can count. Before I go into my frustration, I want to say that management at the leasing office (especially Mr. Adrian, Mr. Courtney, and the young man at the front desk) has been a pleasure and listening ear. I am giving Chenal Place ONE star because I have had to call the police 3 times in 1 week. The building I live in, the lighting is horrible and there are NO cameras. My vehicle's window was busted out and the thief went through my vehicle but didn't get anything because I do not keep anything in my car. I called the police and made a report. The window cost me $200. Two days later, my door was kicked in while I was SLEEP!!! I called the police again. I had to sleep with my couch up against the door because they busted the door frame off. I called Emergency Maintenance to fixed it and I called the police again. The next morning I went outside to get in my car to go to work and it was GONE (yes, GONE!!!). I called the police AGAIN!!! For another report. I had to pay for an Uber to get to and from work. Then I had to pay Enterprise $400 for an a rental because someone stole my car because there is NO LIGHTING outside my building AND CAMERAS!!!! I called the POLICE AGAIN!!!! I owned this vehicle, which is upsetting because I am a single parent, who works hard. I had to go pay down on a car so that I could have transportation to and from work and for my daughter to and from school. My rent was short $100, because I am spending money I was not expecting to spend. Now they have the nerve to charge me late fees, I feel as though this is all CHENAL PLACE APTS FAULT that I am out of $9,150 (my car was worth $8,000) for a new window, and Uber, a rental, a down payment for a and new vehicle. I took all my police reports and receipts to the leasing office. Where's the heart?
Finally a mánager that cares and actually been here for a while she has turned this property around for the best. Highly recommend it.
These apartments are horrible and the management is even worse! We lived in these apartments from July 2014 to May 2016. When we moved in I noticed that things were missing that other units had. Small things like the drain to the bath tub, a shower rod, mantle over the fireplace, and other various things. Of course, I reported them on the move-in slip and requested that the items be installed...and OF COURSE, no action. In the summer of 2015 our air conditioner would repeatedly stop working. It would be 100 degrees outside and our apartment wouldn't go below 85 to 90 degrees. Not to mention, I was pregnant and we had a dog in there. Finally, they chalked it up to it being an "old" unit and wouldn't replace it. There was freezing water, because of the air conditioner, behind our wall which resulted in mold in the ceiling and they wouldn't clean it up. Not to mention, I had to put in about 4-5 requests for someone to even come look at it before someone did (and that was for 3 months!) After we moved out we still had some bills being sent to us, so I went ahead and paid them. We were suppose to give a 60 day notice, but we moved out in 30 days. So even though a 60 day notice is ridiculous, the bills were understandable. They had my checks for months and wouldn't cash them. When I called and asked, I would get a run around answer that they wouldn't scan. Okay? DEPOSIT THEM! Well I requested that the check be sent back to me before I would pay over the phone. I called 3-4 times with the same answer or no answer. Finally, I called 18 Capital Group (and they're as incompetent as the management at these apartments, go figure) and I got the same answer but the regional VP assured me they would cash my checks. Flash forward TWO MONTHS later, we get a collections notice in the mail for $700 something. We received NO notice, NO bills, NO phone call, NO invoices...NOTHING! The manager told my husband she has tried to contact me which was a straight UP lie. Management is horrible and hard to deal with. If its not that, she hires/fires a new front office assistant every other month, so you never know who you'll get. This company and the apartments should restructure how they do business. Like I said, you'd either live here if you're desperate or just stupid. Good luck!
The only positive thing about living here is the location. If you like to live on the wild side, this is the place for you! Between the shootings in the middle of the night, the music at all hours, and the pot smoke from the other tenants seeping through your vents- you have it made! There is never parking available close to your apartment, and it's not a safe area to be in the dark. My advice is don't go outside after dark.
I have been living here for 10 months and I have had my water off at least once a month, every month. I was only give notice twice, every other time I was surprised when my water didn't come on when I came home. I have had my upstairs neighbors sewage come up into my kitchen sink three times, resulting in me not being able to use my kitchen for three separate weeks. The office staff is always "so shocked" when we haven't gotten anything fixed in our apartment. You get billed for maintenance and pest control monthly...if you move here make sure you call and request it every month or you won't get it. They don't even change the air filter unless you request it.
Chenal Place is great. The management is quick to respond when needed and keep thr property in tip top shape.
The apartments aren't very nice and rent is too much for a place like this. The employees in the office are very rude. They never answer their phones. You can try to leave a message on their voicemail but you won't hear anything back from them. If something breaks or messes up don't expect them to fix it immediately. It be about a week before they do anything about it. Don't waste your time calling to get info on this place.
I have lived here a year. I just recently renewed my lease I love the area. Crime rate is pretty low we did have a incident where someone busted out some car windows. Lucky my car wasn't affected. The apartments could use some upgrading. The carpet in my apartment was poorly installed. You can tell it was a rush job. Second pool is still out of order so I didn't get the chance to enjoy the pool this summer which sucks. Neighbors are very nice very quiet. We had a fire here a few months back so one building is completely gone But area is clean. Outside of apartments could use some repainting also. One thing I hate is how close the dumpster is to my apartment makes it hard to keep flies away. I had a horrible incident with bugs but I called the property owner directly who responded very quickly. So far so good. I hope the problem never returns or I will be forced to move. Very cost efficient.
