Property Ratings at Cherry Tree Village
Has got to be the worst apartment I’ve ever lived in only been here 9 months and have had many problems starting with my toilet overflowing and getting on the hardwood floors all the way to the bedrooms twice that happen even after I made a request and they said they fixed it my master closet light has been out since my 2nd month here and nobody has came to fix it yet. My ac unit has broken twice and in this hot weather and with a 8 month old you would think they would be more urgent but they don’t care. Dishwasher has been leaking since I moved in I made multiple request maintenance finally came said they fixed it literally that same night it leaked again. Don’t even get me started on the washer that stinks like rotten eggs or the dryer that burned all my daughter blankets and our clothes and that’s just for the unit. For the area itself don’t even think about throwing out the trash unless your ready climb up a mountain of trash just build up or the fact that there is no emergency maintenance number or that you have to call the leasing office 10+ just for them to pick up. But guess what rent is going up again if I was to resign but for the amount of money you pay for all the bills your really just paying for the area
Maintenance requests will take weeks or be flat out ignored. Parking is an issue due to allowing too many occupants per unit and allowing renters to use garages as storage units. Property is littered with trash and dumpster are regularly inoperaable resulting in mounds of trash accumulating. Numerous building fires while I lived here. Had a roof leak so severe that a wall was saturated with water and ceiling had visible water stains. Was fixed by skim coating the wall and ceiling and repainting the wall with paint that didn't match. Was told I'd have to pay extra to paint the ceiling. Ended up painting it myself. Parking lots are poorly lit, and it's not uncommon for a group of random men to be strolling through as you're exiting your vehicle. During the warmer months the main road into the property becomes a walking trail for groups of adults. Children will regularly ride their bikes unatended with no regard to traffic creating a safety hazard. Stacked washer/dryvers are 20+ years old and will take forever to dry clothes. Kitchen appliances are equally outdated. I'd finally had enough when Brookfield attempted to raise my rent by $500/month. Steam cleaned carpets, repainted rooms, patched all holes in walls, completely cleaned the unit. Security deposit refund was not only denied, but I was billed an additional amount.
I toured the property with Brittney, she was super helpful and friendly. Knowledgeable about the property. The property was great, clean, quiet and nice. I would say there aren?t any sidewalks but that?s not a deal breaker for me.
Friendly staff and good place to live
I've lived here going on 18 years. The staff is friendly. Service requests are slower than when I moved here.
We?ve been living here since September. It?s a very good place to live. The maintenance and the staff are true professionals. Fantastic place to live especially if you have kids.
Amazing staff: beautiful apartments lovely community
This looks like a very inviting and welcoming home and I can't wait to move in here.

I?ve lived here for a few months now. It?s easy to pay rent with online app. It?s a very nice place to live. The only down side is I hear all foot steps from the upstairs apartment which at times can be irritating. But overall a very good place to live.

Good place to live with great staff
I am living in 1 bedroom apartment with classic type kitchen. Pro- Amenities with in unit is good. All necessary store in walking distance like Walmart, Home depot etc. Neighborhood is cleaned . Enough parking space. I don't know how old building but its look new. Cons- No Kid's play area. No pedestrian/ walking trail. Rent is little bit higher.
The apartments, buildings and grounds are well maintained. Our apartment is spacious and the location to restaurants, stores and expressways is excellent.
Great experience overall. Looking forward to move into Cherry tree
Nice place to stay, very neighborly ,Good staff/ Management. Quiet place to live conveniently located To restaurants and supermarkets.
Nice, clean and spacious apartments which are affordable and in an excellent location. Close to the freeway, shopping and dining.
They are the worst leasing company I have ever dealt with! I would not recommend living here! The first few weeks of living there I smelled gas and told them many times. People came and scanned for gas and nothing was found. Eventually after turning in a survey, I was called about it and they finally sent 2 people to come look and found out there was a gas leak in one of the neighboring units. It was fixed but since it took so long and many complaints later I put in my intent to vacate the unit at the end of my lease. Months go by and we had a really hard rain and there was a large leak in my ceiling. I called and someone came over right away. They "fixed" it by spray painting the wet ceiling to hide the water stain. I was more the happy to leave that place. To find out that they lost my intent to vacate and that I am now responsible for 2 extra months rent in an apartment which is empty! Not to mention that the walls are so thin that you can hear your neighbors use the bathroom
I recently applied for these apartments. I make over the income requirement and have a great credit score, therefore I would have been approved. I have a service dog that would have been moving in with me and as soon as I said this, everything went downhill. The complex kept saying they weren't receiving my doctors or my faxes and then the day before I was supposed to move in, I had to call and ask wtf was going on because they never communicated to me what was needed or if I was approved or not. They said they didn't receive the paperwork from my dr. I said check again. They came back and said he faxed a blank page and that they couldn't accept me without that being filled out. I got the fax from my dr as well and it was the paper they asked for and it wasn't filled out. Bottom line, they didn't want to accommodate me. I went over a week without hearing from them! Very poor communication. I wouldn't even bother with this place. I ended up calling and told them to forget it. Don't waste your time!!!!

Hi there. I'm very sorry that you decided that Cherry Tree Apartments was not a good fit for you. It sounds like we had a miscommunication issue and I'm sorry about that. Your feedback is important to me and I would love the opportunity to talk with you about this situation. If you feel up to it, please give me a call at 440-816-1200. Thank you, Tricia, Cherry Tree Apartments Property Manager
I have lived here for a while. I know that they are having really bad cockroaches and bed bug "infestation" problems. There are at least 4-5 buildings with roach problems. Plus at least 5-6 buildings ( with about 1-3 apartments in each that have bed bugs). The staff is wonderful but the issues there are out weighing the positive. So please watch out where you are moving into and check every corner and ask questions. Remember they have to tell you the truth according to health codes and violations.

I just love my apartment. The view of the woods is just wonderful. There are so many stores around us and a lot of them are in walking distance.
This apartment is in a great location! It is close to the highway, metro parks, and major stores. It is not close to very many food places. The management here does not handle complaints or concerns in a timely manner. There are a lot of children running around, and riding bikes without some adult supervision. Some of the tenants here are loud in the hallways with their children. The apartments here are spacious. The water, sewer, and trash is paid for. There is central air here, and large patio windows, which is nice. I would not recommend living on the first floor, due to the noise from tenants walking up above. Not sure if I would resign a lease here again for another year.
My Apartment complex is very lovely and very close to all types of stores and restaurants. I sit on my patio and look at the woods. The deer come out and it is beautiful.
Very nice management staff. I have a very nice view. The complex is near access to freeway and turnpike. Convenient to shopping, restaurants and medical facilities. In the process of building new fitness center near the pool. I wish there was a better trash removal system and closer to each building. Also wish the fountain was working again. Reasonable rent as long as it doesn't go up again.
