Property Ratings at Chesapeake Pointe
After seeing the renovations I decided to apply but was told I would have to apply online and select an apartment for holding. What I overlooked and what wasn't verbally told to me while I was in the office that you have 72 hours after being approved that you could not get your holding fee back like its a house or a condo I was purchasing. They are apartments for rent. I'm sure the apartment will be filled in JULY once the apartment is renovated. After being told a manager would call me back last Thursday cause she has a choice to refund it back to me or not never did so have called for 2 days to finally get someone on the phone to repeat the same thing about the $255 holding fee not being refundable. They don't have any signatures from me accepted the apartment and will not refund it back. I found a nicer and cheaper apartment (much bigger space) and decided not to move to Chesapeake Pointe and glad I didn't not to because of the office staff nonchalant attitudes that were given.

After living here for three years, I can confidently say that this community is the best one I have experienced so far. Both the staff and maintenance crew are friendly, efficient and hardworking.

We’re so glad to hear you enjoyed your experience with us, Tremaine!
I called the leasing office to inquire about one bedrooms. The lady that answered was so rude and disrespectful I had to end the call. Having a more professional and polite person on the phone will attract better tenants. Even though the rent is on the lower end no one should be treated with this much disrespect. Please think about your prospective tenants before hiring someone that doesn't want or need a job.

Don’t be fooled. These pictures look nothing like the apartment they place you in. Everything is always breaking even the A/C. When you come to the office with an issue they get rude. The neighbors are rude as well. 0/10 recommend living here.
Our leasing agent Kaile S. was fantastic and made our experience so easy and informative! We are really interested and cant wait to fill out the application!

If you are looking for a great place to live might I suggest you moving to Preston trails apartments. They have a well kept landscaping, very nice apartments where their whole entire staff team from the administration office to the maintenance department are friendly and very professional. I am into my second year lease and it’s prefect for me. The prices are very affordable. And they are in the prefect location next to all the local community shopping centers. There’s nothing like the great feeling to come home to a peaceful place to live. Please check them out, I am sure you won’t be disappointed.

Where do I start. The townhomes are horrifying. Bad maintenance, Flooded parking lot had to park by front door when it rained. Over-priced. The stackable washer and dryer is extremely small and didn't clean or dry my clothes. Bugs like roaches, ants, spiders hundreds of flies. Neighbors that abuse their dogs, fights, my child got off the school bus during a drive by shooting. Complaints fall on deaf ears without solving them. The pool never worked and I lived there for a year. Dishwasher didn't work. It is not worth the money.

1. Roches , spiders & water bugs. I let them know that I was allergic to spiders & I don’t think anyone came until 2 weeks later. 2. Maintenance is the WORSE , they’re younger people so they really don’t care to do their job the correct way or even get anything done. 3. I’ve been living here since Dec 2019 & have never been given a mailbox key , my mailbox is open everyday & when they did give me a key , IT WAS THE WRONG ONE. 4. My front door is so hard to open sometimes I wonder if i’ll ever get inside my house. 5. The amount you pay each month for a tiny space is ridiculous. 6. I feel unsafe , the hallway lights are always out so you’re walking into a pitch black dark building

If you aren't handy ie, plumbing, electrical or painter don't waste your time or money. They put more money into the rental office and one pool than they do properly maintaining the units. I for one enjoy comfortable living and keep my apartment in such a manner but they don't help wity simple repairs, even if you add the issues to your move in discrepancies. My main door look like a dog tried to chew and his scratch it's way out and i was told that i have to bring in a container to get pain to fix it myself. It's worse than a normal paint job its a scrap, spackle and paint. UTTERLY RIDICULOUS.

I'm gonna sum this up quickly. Run because they don't wanna fix nothing can't get your rent right saying they can't find it Roaches, Waterbugs. I have had a request in for my tub, sink , diswasher and garbage disposal for 1month and still not fixed as of today. I should have left when I started to don't feel like you don't have other option because u do Run.

I have lived here a few months and when i say they dont care they dont care. First the paint they use in the bathroom is wrong so it peels when the steam gets to it which you will pay for out your deposit. Ive called 4 times about the garbage disposal not working its not considered an emergency so youll wait til the next day or over the weekend for it to be fixed not maintenance fault but policy i guess. Mailbox didnt close properly so anyone can get into it. Forget complaining about neighbors they wont do anything about it. They will tell you to call the police but wont take proper action. They claim to have the area patrolled but ive never seen any security. If you go to the office to discuss things youll be told to set an appointment no matter how important is it to you. Water was turned off without notice so they could repair something and you just have to wait. Mold in bathroom wasnt cleaned prior to moving in. Dishwasher leaks water all over the floor and doesnt clean the dishes. Mentioned it but nothing was ever done. Washing machine ruined our clothes it kept getting caught at the bottom of the washer under the spinner. Fights in the hallway. Just not a good experience at all. Playground area is unkept or grown people are there so i wouldnt even let my kids go play. Find a better place to live. Your concerns will not be handled.

Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate your residency and are sorry to see that you are unhappy with your experience. We would like to personally invite you to meet with us to discuss your concerns. If you have any ongoing concerns, please contact our customer service team at info@tfjgroup.com and someone will be in touch with you immediately.
I've lived in my fair share of apartments and this place is by far the worst. The office has so little communication with the residents we have no idea what's happening! The pool. Was closed all summer and we were given no notice. The office was closed because of short staffing and we were given no notice. If you are short staffed they created temp. Job agencies for that. Our lease was up for renewal and they never told us it was ready to sign. Over a month later we went into the office (when it was actually open) and they told us. I have left plenty of voice mails that have never been returned. Their "emergency" maintenance took over a day to call back. Their maintenance people aren't professionals and are rude when they don't think your listening. They spend more time hanging out on my back porch then they do fixing things. Overall I would not recommend this place to anyone. It's not worth the trouble.
