Property Ratings at Chestnut Lake
Packages get stolen all the time here, and nothing is done about it. As if that's not bad enough, my motorcycle got stolen IN BROAD DAYLIGHT right in front of the leasing office. Complex really needs entry control on the driveways, as many doors don't shut all the way or people just let random strangers in the building.
they do not care about their tenants, lived here for less than 2 weeks already getting packages stolen, they'd don't even use their cameras, dumpsters outside are a mess just like inside the building, smells horrible, management is lazy and does not help when needed. would just save time and look else where.
Great price for the size, features, and location. The apartments are very homey and sound insulation is really good, which is something I was concerned about personally. I'm very happy here. There are a few things that I wish were a little different, such as laundry, package receiving, and maybe a little more counter space in the kitchen, but overall I think it's a good and affordable place to live.
Awesome location, friendly staff, professional maintenance team
Management is so rude and I promise these are not what they seem .
Meeting with the agent was easy, she was really nice and kind. The apartments are in great condition and there?s everything you need at the complex.
I am pleased to be a resident.
The staff was very personable and professional. Very organized and well run company. Beautifully designed and spacious rooms throughout the apartment at an affordable price. A++++
Passed background check and credit check then was approved to be able to move in, then all of a sudden got a rejection letter after my boyfriend came in to verify his identity with ID and social ( which also passed ). They won’t explain why we were rejected. After calling and asking questions they didn’t even have an answer as to why we were rejected and she kept giving me the run around then proceeded to hang up on me when I asked how they were going to reject us after being approved for everything and setting up a move in date on top of paying a bunch of money for security deposits, application deposits, paying to have background checks done and paying to hold the unit. Ridiculous.
Staff is very accommodating and answered all our questions. She made us feel welcome during the tour.
It?s amazing it?s quiet community is nice but it?s expensive the lease goes up 100 every year and the washers kinda suck
Ever since I've lived here, the whole team has been attentive, friendly and professional. The location is convenient and close to work. Thank you!
I am very satisfied living at chestnut lake. The staff I have dealt with are Very pleasant from office to maintenance to the cleaning folks who do a great job
Location IS very good
Chestnut Lakes is a great little community with amenities for every need. From a gym, to a hair salon, to a playground, they've got it all. The apartments are great, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. If you're looking for Strongsville living, look no further!
Very happy with my experience here, staff is very friendly and professional and willing to resolve any issues that you may be having
An Ok place to live.
Great place to live, great location central to shopping and highways. Minutes from downtown, east and west side.
This place is a health hazard and completely disgusting. Brookfield properties has run this place into the ground.

Clean place and everyone is nice
I have lived here for many years and I love it here. Everyone that works here is nice, and professional.
Nice place and pretty lenient
My visit was productive. Joe answered all questions and provided additional information. Very comfortable, knowledgeable visit.
Chestnut is best place to live
Great place to live.
Overall is pretty good has a couple flaws but overall pretty satisfied
Basically I'm paying for location because my apartment is very outdated for the steep rent increase.
Chestnut lake is a great place to live i got kicked out of my parents house and they welcomed me with arms open I love it here yes there are some Kinks here and there but nothing is ever perfect
If I could give them zero stars, I would. I’ve been here for almost 4 years. I’ve had numerous issues since moving in and they have never been fixed. I’ve had to recently call off work multiple times due to the apartment not plowing the snow from the parking lot. I’ve even had employees piling snow on top of my car, making it impossible for me to get the snow off and leave my parking space. This isn’t even the first year that this has been done. Laziness is at an all time high here. I have been asking for a garage for a long time now, and keep being told, with an attitude time and time again, that they don’t have any available even though I’ve seen employees lounging in empty garages. I’ve had too many issues with this horrible apartment to list in this review. Before you move in, the people that work here try to be kind to you, but once you fill out the paperwork, their attitudes and demeanor completely shift. Too many people here have issues here that all of this can’t just be a coincidence. If you value your happiness, stay away from this apartment. I can not wait to move out once my lease is up. This is just embarrassing at this point.
DO NOT MOVE HERE. This office is extremely unprofessional and does not work with their tenants. I cannot believe the unprofessionalism and how unkept the grounds are. The hallways are horrible, paring lot is filthy, staff is garbage. I moved in and found old toys in my apartment, webs on the ceiling, and stains on my carpet. I have yet to hear a single word regarding any of this and how they will fix it. This development is poorly kept and must find new management and staffing to provide better care and services to tenants. My carpets have what appear to be blood stains on them, i found a child’s toy in the closet, cobwebs on the ceiling, clogged drains and a handle that fell off in the shower when I went to use it. This is a trashy property, do not move here, the management is just as well kept as the property. Pay the extra couple hundred somewhere else to live in a better community. Unbelievable.
I am happy here.
Chestnut Lake is a very good and decent place to live at! Quite community, nice people, and doesn’t really cause me to many problems.
Affordable and clean. Good location as in everything is within a few miles away.
I like living here.
Nice place, community, and area. Without having officially lived there, I would recommend.
Very happy with my experience living here, would recommend to anyone looking for an apt
Overall a good place!
I've lived here for many years and I am very happy. Chestnut lake is a great place to live.

Quiet community and helpful staff.
Very pleasant and cozy. Grounds are well maintained and pretty. Happy to call Chestnut Lake Apartments home.
Thus far, working with leasing/management has been pleasant (1 week in.) Overall, the apartment was in good condition, minus a few small things that can be easily taken care of. The community seems quiet and welcoming.
I have lived in chestnut lake for about 2 months. It is my first apartment ever. The Floorplan is great. Ample storage space. The balcony is large, with enough room for you to fit anything you really want there. Laundry rooms are on almost every floor. Leasing office is nice and the work out rooms are a great addition. The pool is nice and the landscaping is done well. Maintenance and security are a great benefit as they give you a feeling that you are cared for. I've heard mixed feelings about this block, and personally I couldn't be happier with how I've been treated, and how Brookfield operates the apartments. 5/5.
Chestnut Lake is some nice apartments to live in. The two bedrooms are spacious and I have never been concerned for my safety since living here over 5 years. I wish my apartment was more updated but it’s a nice apartment.
Nice complex, aesthetically pleasing, with very nice staff.
