So far so good. Property manager is nice and helpful. Maintenance staff is nice. Neighbors are friendly and stay to themselves. The only issue is the trash area is always a mess and disgusting. That would be my only complaint.

A peaceful place to live, clean, organized. We have no problems with noise or any other type of nuisance. It is a very well maintained property, maintenance responds in a timely manner and they do an excellent job. Sometimes we have problems with Amazon and Fedex orders disappearing. What could require special attention from the administration in this regard, placing cameras on the property or creating a safer delivery location.

So far so good ! Chestnut place is quite and comfortable. In a area that's tucked away from all of the noise, yet its not a far drive to the local shops and city.

Overall, its a good experience with less concerning issues. However, I feel like there is room to improve especially when it comes to work orders. For example, I submitted a work order to replace the light hanging above the dining table a couple of months ago, but till this day no response has been made. The light I currently have looks loose (risky) and seems like its going to drop anytime. Another thing, Is the carpet in my apartment, I have lived here for over five years and have seen tenants leave and have the carpets replaced to wood floor. I requested for my carpet to be replaced with wood floor but no response as well since then. One last issue is about packages, I have lost two packages since I lived here with no trace. Everyone has been super helpful, and very knowledgeable of even out of state moving. My absolute only complaint is the parking!! Definitely needs more parking.

The apartment has a good size. “Parking spaces is the worst. The lease says they don't accept commercial vehicles, but there are many commercial vans taking up residents' parking spaces. If you get home late at night, good luck finding a parking space for your car.

It has been a good experience, there are some things that could be better. Like the cleaning company that cleans the hallways.. and getting stuff done in apartments would be nice too sometimes it never happens

The main thing is if could get rid of the cockroaches ?? in every building, clean up the broken glass in the parking lot in the woods, fix the playground for the kids and Could be better if there was a dog park or a cookout area, sign parking for each apartment.

Management is not that good. We have no swimming pool available. Some apartments are flooded and they don’t help ppl and most of them don’t know what to do. Old air conditioners keeping electricity bill too high. Rodents all around. And NO parking lot for everyone. If you hang out Saturday night, you won’t find a place to put your car.

I have lived here for about 18 years and I have seen the good and the bad. Right now I believe we finally have a management team that is sincere when they say they want to help with any issues tenants are having instead of months of dodged calls and threatening letters. I know it's been years since we had a dependable management team and I'm very impressed with who we currently have and look forward to seeing all the renovations once completed. Anyone can park here. Nobody takes care of it. No control of who park here. Do not try to have your packages delivery at this place too, will be stolen as soon as 2 minutes. No. We don’t have security cameras or anything like that. When we ask for it, the answer is always the same: “there’s nothing I can do about it”.

Solid apartment building. When things break (which they often do in a place this old) they are fixed at a reasonable pace. Best thing about this place is the price, one of the few affordable options left. Management has been a pain point, and changes extremely frequently.

There are no parking spots available because anyone can park here. We cannot go out at night time because when we come back we have no more parking space. No security cameras to keep us safe and we Connot get our packages here because robberies are taking advantage of no security cameras Administration are poor and desorganized - lost our documents and I don’t think they will be able to get it better

I'm really enjoying living here, it's quite calm, but the only problem is that there are many more cockroaches, I leave my apartment completely clean, but they still appear, but other than that everything is perfect

It was very hard to actually rent an apartment. My calls and emails to set up an appointment to look at apartments were ignored so I had to stop in randomly in person and sign a lease without looking at a place. My apartment was not move in ready when I moved in, we were missing a bathroom vent with a hole in the ceiling, our countertop was broken and it took about 3 to 4 months for the counter to be fixed. Our stove is rusty and there are little paint spots all over the floors. Packages get stolen a lot here so be aware of that. The AC gets turned off pretty early and I had to suffer a week of 80 degree days without AC as a chronically ill person with heat intolerance. I was so dizzy and sick I couldn't get out of bed and ended up in the ER. This place is NOT disabled friendly. Now for the good, when we moved in and mentioned our issues maintenance fixed some on the same day. Everyone seems friendly enough and the apartment is spacious. Pets are welcome which is awesome.

We like to live here. Dog friendly, workplace is close and quiet. The only thing makes it less satisfying is the bug situation. We had multiple visits from pest control but the bugs still keep coming back. Sometimes more Sometimes less but there is still roach activity. And once our amazon package got stolen.

In the suburbs of Boston is this charming community of Chestnut Place in Ashland MA I could not be happier than where I am. The rooms and closets are spacious, complete with modern kitchen with all the amenities and private balcony. The management is very responsive, friendly and always eager to assist. The maintenance staff is the same - go out of their way to help and the problem is taken care of and done to perfection. Plenty of parking with pool and playground to enjoy. Pets are welcome. The ambience creates the perfect sanctuary for all residents. I give Chestnut place 5 stars +. Marilyn

The rent is very high for the way the apartments are , lots of rats and lot of cockroaches , take lot time to turn the hot air and the air conditioning on , never fix things if you do not ask more the 4 times

The rents charged at Chestnut Place are comparable to other properties in the area, if not lower. The management loves to loot money. They increase rent every year by at least 6% and switch off the heater in March, saying this is a state law. Are the tenants supposed to get tortured in the cold ? Same holds true for the A/C at the end of summer. Heating charges are apparently included in the rent, but do not be surprised if your bill goes up exorbitantly in winter. Most importantly do NOT expect to receive a refund on your deposit. They will make ridiculous charges on replacing items that probably just need a cleaning once you move out and ensure you do not see your refund. They will most certainly stage an act where you will be accused of not maintaining the house and make it look like you are grossly irresponsible.
