Stretched along the banks of the Wabash River, West Lafayette sits in the center of Indiana. West Lafayette is also home to Purdue University, one of the leading university destinations for international students in the United States. Consequently, West Lafayette enjoys a sizeable international community along with access to all kinds of cuisine.
Boasting the excitement of a Big Ten university and a Midwestern flair, West Lafayette exudes an energetic atmosphere that can be felt throughout the city. West Lafayette is filled with historic neighborhoods, iconic restaurants, galleries, specialty shops, beautiful parks, miles of scenic trails for walking and biking, street festivals, and athletic events. A small city on the move, West Lafayette features big projects like State Street redevelopment and bigger plans for the future. Should you miss the draws of larger cities, Indianapolis is just an hour away and Chicago is two hours away.

Property Ratings at Cheswick Villiage
Management is an absolute joke. I was ready to sign in January, and the worker at the time told me the application was only good for 3 months, so I waited. Low and behold, it was 6 months to begin with, and now I am not looking at the place. Not to mention my application sat at their office for over 2 months.
My wife and I have been fortunate to find this apartment complex. It became a home to us. Both inside and outside of the buildings are clean. It is a quiet and relaxing area. I enjoy both the maintenance guys who respond quickly anytime there is an issue. The current manager is amazing. She is super awesome and welcoming.
I am sorry to hear of your unpleasant experience, but I must clarify that this is not the Cheswick Village you were referring to. We are located in West Lafayette IN, not Indianapolis.
This is actually a very nice-looking complex. The buildings have a lot of space, and the area is quite well-maintained, which is especially a good thing considering that the apartments directly next to this complex don't do as well. I do wish that the gym had more amenities, but what it does have works well and is fairly secure. The staff are mostly friendly and helpful, and the area has some pretty good shopping and dining, as well as a public library branch. It would be helpful, however, if the complex itself were a tad closer to the supermarket and the bus stop (it's a 4 minute walk to the nearest bus stop, which would be less of a problem if the area were a little more pedestrian-friendly.) Same with the supermarket, which is roughly a half-hour's walk from the complex-- you must walk across a highway overpass to get there, and there are no sidewalks on it.
