Cheverly's quaint size and beautiful landscape have some residents calling the neighborhood an island of green framed by highways. This compact neighborhood (just over one square mile) is nestled a mile northeast of Washington, DC between Baltimore-Washington Parkway and Maryland Route 50. Because of its size, Cheverly has a tight-knit community and a lovely small-town feel.
The community in Cheverly supports being economically friendly. Recycling programs are in use, and residents do their best to provide the highest quality of life possible for everyone in the neighborhood. The neighborhood is close to an elementary, middle, and high school within the county, so it provides excellent education to its younger residents.

This place is absolutely terrible. The maintenance people are no help what so ever. We were also informed our apartment used to be lived in by homeless people because they break in to the apartments when they are vacant. Yayyyyy also false advertising for the entire place. We were never given access to the gym at all. Everybody was sent out the email that the pool was open on Memorial Day but actually they just took the pool cover off and made it look like it was open. Nobody had passes. It was so many roaches we had to stop cooking in our kitchen and order out because we were uncomfortable. It should be illegal to allow people to live in this conditions. When we first moved nothing in the apartment was fixed and it was so much water damage. The parking is so bad for your guest because to get a pass the car HAS TO be registered and the name HAS to be on the lease. Sooo that means if you have company they have to move their car by 10pm to the visitors and then again at 7am to the regular spots or else you will get towed and they are so petty on top of that it’s like they are given incentives for each car they bring because if you are late one second that means no more car for you.

Hi, Destiny. Thank you for your valuable feedback. We’re sorry to hear of your disappointment regarding your living experience at Cheverly Station. We are aware there is a vagrant issue. We are working diligently with our security team to ensure all areas are monitored and checked frequently to avoid this issue. Regarding the gym, we are experiencing issues with our access system. We are working with Verizon to get this back up and running ASAP- it is a continuous work in progress. As for the pools, we’re currently experiencing a nationwide lifeguard shortage which has resulted in our pool being closed. We are sending out an email announcement to all residents to inform them of this matter. For any pest concerns, we encourage residents to notify us so we can work to schedule the unit for pest control service. We’re happy to follow up on this along with any other maintenance concerns to ensure they are addressed ASAP. Lastly, our parking policy ensures parking spaces for vehicles equipped with a parking pass as well as registered in the leaseholder’s name. We also provide visitor parking where there hours are from 10PM-7AM. Any violations of this parking policy will result in the vehicle being towed. We encourage our residents and guests to abide by this policy to avoid this issue. We acknowledge your feedback and disappointment. It’s important to us that our residents are provided a comfortable and enjoyable living experience. We want to make things right and ensure you are satisfied. If you would like to further discuss any matters with us on an individual basis, we invite you to fill out the contact form by using the following link http://bit.ly/2ZKI80w. Once we receive your contact form someone from our team will reach out to you directly. Thank you.
Management is poor and unreliable. Applying was a waste of time and money. Online they say one thing and then over the phone they say another. Look elsewhere!

This place is dirty and infested with rodents and bedbuds and they know it. I would not let my dog or worst enimie live in here. I am going to seven on my side to investagate on how many family's move out for rodents and bedbugs. When you leave this place do not take your furniture with you. Please do not live in this place. When I wen to court and another tenant said they left because they seen a rats in their apartment and I talk to tenants that live their and they also said they have rodents in their apartment. They need to shut this apartment complex down. This is sicken. Please Please Please Please do not move in this nesty infested with bedbugs, mices and rodents.
Cheverly Station was and is the perfect first apartment!! Not only is the staff prompt and friendly but the buildings are well maintained. The walk in closest are to die for. But, the best part has been my neighbors. I left my keys in the door one day and one neighbor knocked on my door until I answered to make sure I got my keys. Cheverly station embodies community! I'm enjoying my stay.
The apartments are decent, needs minor work.Overall a good experience.
let's begin with the day I went sign my lease.......while sitting in rental office the office staff began discussing applicants information. They began to to laugh at the fact that one of their applicants made $60k/yr but had bad credit & couldn't get an apartment. It appalled me because I felt like They could have been laughing at my application as well. The walk through........there was gum stuck in my vent, the balcony was not painted, one working bulb in the bathroom vanity, no drain collector in the tub, the stove was dirty, the vent filter was dirty, the refrigerator was spray painted, lastly the tub was dirty. The only that was fixed from that laundry list of items was the stove that was spray painted intead of cleaned. After being here for a few months I had to learn the hard way that the building about the terrible bug infestation. Come to find out the buildings have not been servivd Like they r supposed to.
I have been at Cheverly Station since it was called Cheverly Terrace. That's a long time! And the new management is just as bad as the original. The roach infestation is ridiculous! And these are not regular roaches.. these are roaches that DO NOT run when you turn the lights on. Visitors parking is horrible. There's only 9 spaces available in the front and they are spread out. There is a visitors parking lot but there have been numerous complaints of theft from people who do park over there. When new management came in they decided to finally put washers and dryers in the apartments..... BUT they are the cheapest non-drying washing/drying unit I have ever witnessed! They're so small that your clothes DO NOT DRY! We have dryers left over from when we didn't have units in our apartments but for some reason there is only 1 so just imagine everyone in a building trying to dry their clothes. And in order to use them you have to turn on a switch that turns off your dish washer. You have no control over your air or heat until certain times of the month. For example, air isn't available until late May/early June. The new management called themselves trying to make the building more secure by adding these code access doors. They barely work and when they do you tend to get locked out because of some type of problem. The rent is okay around $750-800 but it's honestly not worth it! Go spend some extra money on an apartment that is worth it.
The apartments are really spacious, but I have had so many problems since living there. They have bed bugs, roaches and rodent problems. Some of the residents perpetuate the problem by leaving trash on the ground and putting bags on the ground near the dumpster instead if putting them inside. The combo washer dryer is a bad idea anyway. They may as well have purchased washers, because they don't dry. The maintenance personnel does respond but after several attempts. My car has been broken into several times. There are signs put up at least twice a month about a resident's home being burglarized, yet they have not fixed the locks on the front doors that have been broken for over a year and a half. I couldn't find an affordable apartment that size when I looked. I guess you sort of get what you pay for considering the rent prices in the area are a lot higher for a comparable space.
I love this complex. When i first came here was very skeptical. But they proved me wrong...from the top notch customer service to my stainless steel kitchen. An the neighbors REALLY watch out for you.Though it took a while for them to be hospitable.I feel like a king now and Cheverly is my palace.
